I had the Bissell Breakfast with a mimosa. Portions were nice and everything was cooked perfectly. My boyfriend wasn't very fond of the biscuits and gravy that he ordered but they easily replaced it for something else. This spot is a great place to go. For breakfast, lunch, or dinner. They are practicing social distancing and cleaning every 30 minutes around the clock. Metro Diner in Aiken, SC is now open and a big success! I have been a fan of this franchise since discovering them in Augusta, GA last year but now they are just down the road from me. Wahoo! I enjoyed fish and chips during the soft opening this past weekend, benefiting Helping Hands, and chicken pot pie last night for dinner. Am meeting friends there tomorrow for lunch because everyone is excited to try this new restaurant and I am more than willing to go with them to try something else on the menu. I needed directions for someone who was meeting me there, several people helped with directions, one server took the time to talk my friend straight to the Diner by phone. The service is terrific. Decided to try this location to compare it to the one in Augusta. Will definitely keep going to the one in Augusta. Ordered the chicken and waffles, the chicken pieces that we were served were way smaller then the other location. They only gave us one syrup with hot sauce, not sure if they wanted us to share. When I asked the waitress that brought our food out if I could have my own she said yes but never came back. I had to ask someone else. My son ordered hashbrowns they were very greasy. My boyfriend and I came here to eat lunch and ordered boneless wings for an appetizer and they were so good! I ended up ordering the spicy honey chicken sandwich for my entree and it was soooo good. There was so much chicken that came on the sandwich and it was amazing. My bf got the huevos rancheros and said it tasted amazing. Overall, 10/10 and our waitress was super friendly! After finally waiting for the buzz to wear down a bit, I finally wanted to see what the big fuss was about. I walked in with my husband before five o'clock and waited for probably five minutes before a server appeared to take our drink order. During this wait, what looked to be all the servers and manager on duty were standing around in groups talking. At the time, there were maybe three other tables in the restaurant. While the server was nice, the food I found to be a little disappointing. The fries were over cooked and the breading on the chicken tenders was lack luster. I will admit the Mac and Cheese was pretty good. My husband enjoyed the biscuits and gravy. I can't say that I'll be back based on the crappy service initially received in addition to average food. read more

This evening I witnessed (overheard) a very rude customer treat one of the workers like garbage. The customer acted in a state of violence verbally and physically. I saw as she slammed her hands on the table and cursed in front of her child towards their server. I think everyone nearby especially us heard the commotion. The SERVER was very PROFESSIONAL and handled everything adequately to the obnoxious, customer's needs. The server knows who she is if she's reading this..I was very impressed with how she managed to express PROFESSIONALISM in a overly stressful situation. However, I am not impressed with management due to the conditions of customer's rights in a working environment. The customer should have been given an untimatum, or simply escorted out the door. Stopped in this morning to grab breakfast. The diner is super clean and the waitress (Debbie) was friendly and inviting. Coffee was hot and good. Chocolate milk was REAL chocolate milk! The sausage gravy and biscuits were to die for AND it was two big biscuits. I eat a lot but couldn't finish. Our table also had Western omelet, linked and patty sausage, pancakes. First time visiting this metro, we have eaten at others before here. We were greeted by a very immature group of "kids", allot of playtime going on at the host area. We were ignored until the conversation was over among the workers. Waited a half hour to be seated. While waiting for a server we observed a worker pinch another worker rear end! I spoke to a manager and explained I felt it was very inappropriate behavior. Service was mediocre. Food was hot and presented well. The manager, Brandon does care about this restaurant but I think he has a big task on hand while babysitting his team. With all the restaurants in town we will not be returning here. read more

Not overly impressed by this place. Rubbery pancakes that literally had to be torn them apart as they roll up if cut with a knife. Honestly I felt everything ordered was either prepared from frozen or store bought. We visited the establishment with a mindset of home cooked and left desiring a bit more for what we paid.If you like quick diner food with an upscale ambiance then recommended, but I'd prefer a small wait and tastier meal. Don't see us coming back anytime soon when there are better options for breakfast and lunch. Recommend The Village Cafe or What's Cooking Downtown. read more
