This Metro Diner was not the first one I had been to but it is definitely a good one. It is located in a shopping center with plenty of parking. The building looked well kept and they had patio seating on one side. We went for an early dinner around 5pm. Metro serves breakfast, lunch and dinner items all day and our group got a verity of those options. I myself got the fish and chips which were amazing. The food/beverage quality I would give a 10/10. Everything was cooked perfectly and the fish was not over cooked. The food/beverage quantity was also a 10/10. There were about 4 large almost fish stick style pieces of fish. As for the sides, it came with french fries and coleslaw. I personally do not eat coleslaw but had the option to trade it out for another side. However, I just got extra fries which turned out to be a lot! For my drink and meal were about $14 so for the value, I left full and the food was good so I would rate that a 10/10 as well. For the most part, I feel like all of their food is well priced. The service for me was a 10/10. The waitress stopped by frequently to see if we were doing okay but never lingered. The manager also stopped by when our food came out and made sure all food came out good. The décor was about a 9/10. It not that it was bad it just was bland. However, I did like the openness of kitchen so you could see the food being made if you were sitting at the bar. Having it out in the open also made the whole place smell very good. The only bad part of the whole experience was that one of the meals that came out was incorrect. I'm not sure if it was put in wrong or the kitchen staff read it wrong but it was able to be fixed in about 5 minutes. I think one way to prevent this is just to double check the tickets. It was lucky this was a simple breakfast item and not something that took a while to make. But overall, I would recommend Metro Diner to anyone looking for a good cheap meal. read more

This place has it down!!! Restaurant was super busy but we were greeted at the door and AS SOON as we were seated. Pamela was our server and couldn't have been better. Service was excellent, friendly ad attentive. Food came out quickly and portions were HUGE. Forgot to take picks but my husband ordered chipped beef over home fries and it filled the platter sized plate. My avocado toast and poached eggs were at least a double portion of what would typically be served. 2 full slices of thick wheat toast piled with fresh avocado. The manager came around and checked on all of the tables. Will definitely be back!!! read more

Walked in here expecting to wait as the crowd outside is alway lave. When we got here no one was outside and we were seated right away. Courtney our server was attentive and friendly. I had the shrimp and grits and they make it a little different so she asked if I wanted a sample. I tasted it and said its a go. My husband had the vortex burger and it was huge. I must have come on an off day. Stopped in for breakfast of eggs, ham, home fries and toast. The eggs, ordered over medium, turned out to be slightly less than medium yet not worth the time or effort to send back for a little more time on the grill while the rest of my meal got cold. The potatoes pretty much lacked any seasoning so some salt and pepper helped with that. As for the ham - nicely done, big slice and cooked just right. While it's hard to mess up white toast. What I received was two slices of white bread that at best were passed over the toaster so they had a little crunch, but totally lacked any brown/tan color normally produced when bread is "toasted". No complaints about the portion size, price and service. Like I say, and to be fair, everyone has a bad day. I like the Metro but suspect it will be a while before I'll think about going back. read more

I had this fish sandwich with onion rings and a bowl of loaded potato soup and my friend had the roast beef au jus and both were so large we could not finish them. They have the option of indoor or patio sitting. It is busy for a reason on Sundays. We were looking for a simple breakfast diner to grab a meal at before leaving town on a Sunday morning. We drove by Metro Diner and decided to stop. It was about a 10 minute wait. We were seated within 10 minutes. I ordered orange juice and the breakfast pie and my husband ordered the breakfast platter with eggs, pancakes, hashbrowns, bacon, and toast. They have a large variety of food but, for some reason when I ordered meatloaf I thought of meat and ketchup, but when the waiter passed by and saw a full plate in front of me and offered to replace it. We have eaten at other Metro Diners so I was really looking forward to breakfast here. I ordered the Breakfast Pie based on a friend's recommendation. She'd had it the week before and said it was delicious, so I ordered that, but please hold the peppers. My pie came quickly and I smelled the peppers immediately. Sure enough, I peeked under the eggs and there was a whole layer of peppers on the bottom! My server stopped by and I reminded her that I had asked for no peppers. She quickly took the pie away to be re-made. I enjoyed my biscuit (side) while waiting. The new dish was quickly returned and I began to eat. Hmmmm, this is supposed to have potatoes in it. Server stopped by again and I asked about the potatoes. I RARELY send orders back unless they are inedible, so I was a little uncomfortable, but, really folks, this should be fairly simple! She asked if I wanted them to re-make it again or could she bring a side of potatoes. I opted for the side since I had already eaten part of the dish. The potatoes came quickly and were very good.
