My wife and I built our home almost 40 years ago.  In that time we have made additions, repairs,…read moreneeded numerous repainting projects, and other updates to the facilities.  In all those years, through all those encounters with service companies, we can honestly say we have never worked with a better company than RFM Siding.   We called three companies for estimates.  Renato and Fatima came to our home, spent plenty of time answering all our questions and followed up as promised with a detailed estimate.  They were the only company to spend so much time caring about our needs and concerns. We decided to go with Hardie board lap siding, and to our amazement, RFM Siding came in with the lowest estimate, as well as the most positive attitude.  They are a joy to work with.   In addition to the estimate, Fatima gave us an overview of how the work would be completed and the timetable for each part.  She also broke down the estimate into each area of work/labor.  We knew how much we were spending for materials and labor for each phase of the project.  Fatima is an excellent project manager, and always ready to answer questions or attend to any concerns you may have. She researched and found us exactly what we wanted and needed. Overall, we had our entire home resided from T1-11 to Hardee lap, soffits and fascia were rebuilt with Hardee as well, and the entire home (two story) was caulked and painted with Super Paint by Sherwin Williams, which has a very long life.  Fatima researched and found us exactly what we needed to meet our goals.  Renato is amazing.  You could say he has skills, but we say he has a gift.  This work comes so naturally to him and you can see it in his attitude, his knowledge and eye for what will look best, and even his perfect cuts!  One of the amazing details, the lap siding meets exactly the same at each corner (10 each). I've seen houses with mismatched corners, but Renato made each exactly as they should. We trusted his opinion and he never led us wrong.  Renato worked closely with his co-worker Cleugiannie (pronounced Clu-gee-ahn-nee). They are totally in sync, worked hard as a team and enabled us to see progress on our home daily. They looked for mistakes as they painted and took care of them immediately. The entire team had great respect for our home, our grandchildren...and even our dog.  The yard was left as they found it. No debris was left and nothing was damaged. We know if we called today, they would be here as soon as possible to handle our concerns.  To say we are happy with the results would be an understatement.  We have a new home.  We highly recommend RFM Siding for all of your siding, home improvement needs.  We are already planning a second small project with them at another location. So, would we hire them again? Yes!

The home depot rep Bemjamin Coffey came and took preliminary measurements and scheduled our installation. Fatima at RFM called and stated that they would be doing our installation. RFM arrived at our home on time and Fatima introduced herself and her crew, Renato and Daniello. They were all friendly professional and cordial. They were all meticulous in setting up for the job, and Fatima explained every step of the process. As soon as they began working I could tell they were experts and I would go as far as to say that they are not only highly skilled but they are artists. They made what is normally a difficult job look easy, and I could tell they truly enjoyed there work. After the work was complete Fatima walked with me through my home and showed me how the windows worked and asked me if there was any touch up work needed, there was not , and they made the windows look as if they had been there all the time. We would absolutely recommend RFM for home improvement projects.

BEFORE YOU GIVE THIS COMPANY YOUR BUSINESS, PLEASE, READ THIS! About 6 month ago, I gave this company a great feedback when I was contacted by Rob and asked if I could put a few nice words for K&D. I did not mind.. but I SPOKE TOO SOON. Here what I have been dealing with since MAY 13th till the current day! I made a BIG mistake paying money to K&D roofing without checking the work. Went on total trust. From the first glance, roof looked good. However, when I had a detailed inspection, I noticed that while installing the roof, installers completely damaged the Hardie board sidings of the house that are attached to the garage, broke the brick and did not correctly install flashing causing later on the wood under the roof to decay. Work was still under the warranty, From May 13th till today, July 29th , I have contacted K&D roofing total of 22 times. I had 2 official appointments scheduled. First appointment Rob called and told me that his tire blew up and he cannot come over. I rescheduled. Second appointment he did not show up again and said that he twisted his foot but will show up a few days later. There was no show. I texted him, no answers. I started calling the company and was just giving excuse after excuse. I contacted the company through the portal, but no one called me. I called the company and was told that someone will call me back, but this never happened. I have a compiled list of all the no shows and excuses this company gave me within these 2.5 month. Finally on July 15th, someone from the K&D company called me and told me that he will show up the next day. We agreed on 8AM. The next day I got a call from the person saying he was running late. He finally showed up at 8:30 and here is the story I got. K&D roofing is NOT RESPONCIBLE for collateral damage. They are responsible for the roof, but if they damage something while at it, it is not their fault. I was told that it is mentioned in the contract that I signed. So, the fact that they damaged the siding of the house, broke the brick did not count because it is NOT THE ROOF. He told me that yes, it was his crew that was working there, and they had a hard time pulling old roof and installing the new roof and that is why it happened. There was not even an apology of any kind. He also inspected the back area of the garage where siding and garage meet and where I had a horribly decaying wood and told me that he will follow up with Rob and will be in touch. That was on July 16th. That was my contact #22 with this company. I heard NOTHING back from July 16th. I have a year warranty with K&D.. but what good does it do if they do not show up or basically giving you an excuse for not fixing what they broke? This is the second time I am replacing roof on my property. First time, when I used different company, there was NO ISSUES. When I mentioned this to the person who came in on July 16th, all he told me is that this is because "code changed". So, I guess, 15 years ago "codes where better" and the company I used that time did not damage my property. This time "it is different codes". So, I guess it is OK for K&D damage someone's property. It is ok for K&D avoid customers by not responding to any kind of communications 22 times while the customer is still in warranty. Funny thing, I recommended this company before to my friends and relatives who did the roofs with K&D as well. You would think that this company would respect their loyal customers and referrals they get from them? The answer is BIG FAT NO!!! Once they get the money, they absolutely do not care. I wish there were negative stars.. but "1 star" is the smallest, so I have no choice but give them 1 start.

Stay FAR away from Big Fish Roofing. They did not honor their own warranty and handled my concerns…read morein an unprofessional and dismissive way. Before purchasing my home, they were hired to replace/repair several shingles. About 9-10 months later, still within their clearly stated one-year warranty, I discovered that ONE of the shingles they had replaced was missing. I contacted them to have it fixed under warranty. Steven Scoates initially asked me to text photos, which I did, including before-and-after pictures that clearly showed the shingle was part of their original work. After that, he stopped responding, even after multiple follow-ups. When he finally did reply, he denied responsibility despite the documentation and the contract stating they would replace all missing or loose shingles. He then passed me off to Mike, who called and said the repair would be taken care of right away. Just like Steven, he disappeared too--no updates, no repair, and no responses to follow-up messages. All of this over ONE shingle. If this is how they handle a simple warranty request, I can only imagine how difficult it would be for anyone with a larger issue. Photos will be attached so you can judge for yourself how they stand behind their work before deciding whether to hire them.

This did happen in which I thought I was out of warranty when I called them and indicated I was out of warranty and would even pay for the repair . The person who picked up the phone and this was in 2019 and she sounded like a rude teenager with a rude tone of voice and said we don't do repair work . I hired the guy who inspected it and it was another disaster had to fire but that's another story . To make matters worst I found my paper work to learn I still had a few months left on the warranty . And Sean Hannity will endorse any company who will pay him for the endorsement. Now black mold is starting to fester and I am retired on a limited income and don't know what to do. Oh by the way the burnt orange shingles turned black after a year. I am not from San Francisco CA. And I am talking in reference to Big Fish roofing in Jacksonville Fla. How did Yelp get this wrong?
