Workers are prompt, scheduling is easy, and billing is thru email, very convenient. I liked their work so much that I asked them to put on a new roof, which worked out great. Top-notch service all the way around. I was looking for work to repair or replace a gutter that was loose and allowing rain to overflow off the roof and literally pour onto the foundation. I asked for estimates from 6 firms and Mike (manager) from Metro Roof & Gutter was the only one of three firms (with estimates) who was punctual, professional, and actually responsive to my issues. Mike explained the scope of the work, completed some measurements and was the only one who gave me a detailed estimate of the work and costs within a day. Scheduling and communication from the company was also excellent. On the promised work day, Tony and Dillon were on time and equally personable and professional. They pointed out some fine tuning they performed to ensure proper gutter performance going forward. Metro Roof & Gutter were on the higher end of the estimates but their professionalism, communication, and service more than justified the cost difference. I have used their gutter cleaning service for many years. They just did their annual cleaning on Friday. Everything went well as usual. The technicians showed up as planned, including texting me with a half hour heads up so I could get the dogs in. They checked with me before starting to find out if there were any particular issues. They worked efficiently and cleaned up all the debris. Years ago they spotted a roof problem and repaired it as soon as I asked them to. They have been excellent for years. read more

I called to set up my "free estimate". They told me that I would need to have my gutters cleaned before they could provide an estimate. Hence they wanted to charge me over $300 (somewhere around $350) just to come by and clean my gutters. My gutters are 22 years old. I later learned that the lifespan of gutters is about 20 years. They seem to need to be replaced, so why should I spend money on cleaning them when I really needed an estimate for a replacement cost? Too bad Metro Gutter, you lost my business to a competitor, all because you would not honor the free estimate that you advertise. read more

Metro Roof & Gutter's Manager and estimator, Mike Burnett, was excellent to work with. He correctly assessed the problem with my roof; responded to my questions and concerns; and provided a timely and reasonably priced estimate to correct the problem. That was, the ridge vents on my roof needed to be replaced. Metro Roof & Gutter's installers Dillon and his partner were very professional, diligent and cleaned up all the debris from this replacement work, which was done Dec. 2021. The new vents look good and the new cap shingles they installed over the vents matched closely to the existing shingles of my 20 year old roof. Many of the negative reviews on Metro Roof & Gutter appear to be from persons who either didn't actually hire the company to do work, or hired the co. for minor gutter cleaning work. read more

I actually didn't even get to the point of having work done. Just trying to get an estimate was a bad experience. They would only give me a window of 8am-5pm on a Wednesday to come out and do estimate. I wanted to be there because I have questions about a specific area on the house. I get a call on Monday that they are in the neighborhood and want to come now but I was at the store so I asked could they give me an hour. They said no so I rush back home to meet them. Then I call to let them know I'm home and waiting ad how much longer will they be since they couldn't wait an hour. They said they could not give me a time and now want to reschedule my estimate. All of this tells me 1: not professional at all, 2: not interested in accommodating with good customer service. I cancelled. Now I see why the reviews suck. read more

We had our gutters cleaned less than a week ago, yesterday we had a hard rain during which sheets or water were spilling over the side of one of the gutters. I took video and photos of the blockage and water flow during the rain. When I sent it to Margie the following day to request they come take a look and clear whatever was the issue she replied that for "$75 they could come back out". I can't believe it! Less than a week ago I paid them $200 to clean my gutters and they want more money to come out because they clearly did a crummy job the first time. No customer service and clearly don't care. ***Update- Mike called to follow-up and personally came out to fix the gutter issue at no additional cost. He seemed truly concerned that we were displeased with the service received and corrected the issue to our satisfaction. read more

We've engaged Metro Gutter around 20-25 times in the past 7 years. As we live in a high tree density area, we had them cleaning our gutters and washing our skylights 5-6 times per year. They've also done some small roof and gutter repairs for us. In 2020, we finally agreed with their Raindrop gutter guard recommendation/installation. The guards have worked so well that, unfortunately, we haven't needed their services more than once a year since. In 2022, we added a new roofline addition and had MG once again install the Raindrop gutter guard system. They were kind enough to reuse all the previous guards we had from our prior installation. Top rate. First class. They show up on time and perform the job as specified. Highly recommend. read more

I would give this company a negative star if I was allowed. Several years ago they came out to clean my gutters. I noticed after the fact that my downspout next to my front door had dents on it. These were 1 year old gutters at the time and I would have noticed this before then. Someone, a manager perhaps, came out and got in a shouting match with me as they blamed the gutter installer (wasn't him). Finally I just told the guy to get off my property and he left. A month later I filed with BBB. It got their attention at least. The company agreed to give me my money back for the gutter cleaning and I accepted if only to close the book on the matter. I never did get that check....it's been about 3 years. My advice, find another company. read more

I bought a Groupon for this company and emailed for an appointment. They asked me to send my Groupon voucher, which I did. It was a very hectic time for us having just moved across the country to our home. I expected to buy the Groupon, book an appointment, and have the gutters cleaned. Instead, I got an email (and multiple phone calls) from Maggie insisting that I provide them with my credit card number in advance or else they won't book the appointment. She said she needed this because I might have screens over my gutters or might cancel the day of. I have never provided a credit card in advance for a service like this and I refused to provide it to them. Instead, I cancelled the Groupon and got a refund. Ridiculous. Bad business practice and poor attitude. read more

I was told by Metro Gutter that it was company policy not to accept Groupons if gutters had a cover on it...YET, the Groupon description states 'extra fee applies for gutter covers, gutter screens, roof cleaning, and homes.' I would have paid the extra fee as advertised, but they declined to provide me with the service. The lady who answered the phone was not the friendliest or apologetic. BEWARE! This company has a deal they run through LivingSocial for $69 that allows you to get your gutters cleaned. On the surface this sounds like a really good deal but the implementation of the deal isn't quite as smooth as you would think. So after I purchased the voucher, I called the company up to schedule my cleaning. They claimed to be book for the next month so they said they would come out at the end of the June. I wasn't thrilled that I had to wait but I said okay. We actually scheduled an exact date (June 30th) and window of time. They said they would call at the beginning of that day to let us know we are on the schedule. Sounds simply enough right? Suddenly on June 16th they had openings to come out. They called to tell me that they were on the way over my place and would be there within 30 minutes. Of course there was no warning, I was at work so there was no chance to actually be there to supervise the work. They finished the work and left a receipt, but no bag of debris, and a little surprise with my gutters (see picture). It reminds me of the recent 7 on your Side story with HVAC companies who use these deals to funnel bigger repairs. There were quite a few red flags with this transaction. This is definitely not a company I would continue doing business with. read more

Before buying the Angie's List deal, I contacted them to ensure that they could do the gutters of my townhouse. Maria was extremely helpful, and even sent someone out to check for me. After confirming that they could, I bought the deal and in no time, they were out here cleaning them out. The best thing is that they even left a recommendation for replacing the gutter filter (no idea that even existed). The other thing that was great was that they were able to clean the gutters without me having to be home, which was great. I asked if I needed to print the deal out, and she said they already had it in their systems. I've done deals with other companies, and they all asked for the coupons. It was great to not have to do that. They left me a receipt and everything. Definitely will use them again. read more

Wish I checked the reviews prior to purchasing my "Groupon" special. Wanted my credit card on file in advance? Andrea whom I spoke to required I take a photo of my voucher and email it to verify which I did and my only response from her was "voucher has expired" just send address and phone number. That's it?!?! Ummm it CLEARLY says on the voucher the SERVICES which I paid for never EXPIRE in clear CAPS. Check your bifocals hun. I would give these guys a 0 if possible. Canceled on me twice after making appointments to come out to my house. Finally came out to do a patch job which completely failed. I ended up just replacing the whole roof, with another company that actually has professional standards. These guys use a lot of Shady marketing and bait and switch tactics. They don't understand contracts! The only good thing I can say is they came out and left me an estimate at my door so I didn't have to be there. They recommended I replace the gutters on the back of my house, which was correct. After talking to them & reaching a lower price (the person on the phone had no idea their site offered 10% off for new customers) I signed the contract. Friday I was told a date they would do the work, Tuesday I was told it would be almost 3 weeks later. I also found out that they would keep my 50% deposit if I canceled the work. That was not in the contract. It just got more confusing and unprofessional from there. Thank goodness I hadn't given them my credit card number!! Bought a groupon to get my gutters cleaned. Scheduled the cleaning and they told me they wouldn't work some certain types of gutters. I asked if they would come do a survey/assessment so I would know if they'd do the work they said they didn't do that. They expect their customers to be experts in the array of gutters and gutter guards and to make their own assessment as to whether or not this company will decide to do the work. I told them I'd had my gutters cleaned by another company before and that there were birds building nests this summer so I didn't think there was any difficult gutter guard. They showed up and left, calling me to tell me they were charging $75 plus my Groupon voucher... and they didn't do any work. Company crooks. Don't use these guys. That's one hell of a business model. Charge customers for not doing any work. I'm in the wrong business. read more

If you want your gutters cleaned in an efficient and timely manner - I suggest you find another service. I contracted with Metro Gutter to have the gutters of my home cleaned and after six months all I have to show for it are three bills -- my gutters have never been cleaned. When I called to talk to someone about the problem I was told they would send out an inspector to check the gutters. No one ever showed up -- but I was charged an additional $75 for the service call. It seems like a steep price to pay for nothing. I have now called Metro Gutter 10 times and each time I have been told a manager will call me back -- no one has ever called me. So, if you want a lot of hassle and dirty gutters -- I suggest you call Metro Gutters. If you want clean gutters I suggest you find someone else. read more

The actual gutter cleaning work was fine. The contractors gave a call ahead, showed up, cleaned the gutters, bagged the leaves, and left. The problem, and this is where the incompetence comes in, is that they did not have us move our cars back, but did blow out a large amount of dirt and debris out of the gutter onto the front of my car. Part of this debris impacted my windshield. There was no visible damage at the time of the service, but by the next morning, a large crack formed in my windshield. I called them about the property damage they caused. Eventually, a field manager responded, saying the contractors took a picture of my car when they did the work, which showed no crack. How convenient. I'm sure if such a picture exists, it only serves as further proof they did cause the damage. Car covered in dirt and debris falling from a great height leads to cracked windshield. I had no choice but to get my windshield replaced (about $300). I sent the field manager a picture of my cracked windshield. No reply. I called them again and they said the manager would get back to me. Never did. This is your typical incompetent, sleazy contracting service. They'll clean your gutters alright, but they have only contempt for you as a customer. If they cause any damage to your property, you're on your own. read more

This company is an absolute joke. My experience: Original scheduled estimate - they missed the appointment. I called after the window passed and was told that they were too swamped and that I would have a 10% discount for the inconvenience if I used them. Stupidly ignoring that red flag, I rescheduled the estimate and worked from home a second day to meet them. Guy came out and gave me a quote for a new downspout. No mention of discount, but when reminded he took it off the quote and I paid a $175 deposit. Day came for work to be done: person doing the work calls me and says sorry, no way we can do a new downspout, don't know what the estimator was thinking. As I already paid a deposit, he said I was owed money by Metro Gutter since they could not do the work they quoted me. Discount has now magically disappeared again from the receipt left behind. Two days later, Metro Gutter charges me another $105 to my credit card (rather than the refund I am owed). After calling to sort it out, it's blamed on people not giving accounting the full story and they do finally agree to give me back the money owed (after a brief time to go investigate) and the 10% discount (after another brief time to investigate). Fiasco from start to finish. Avoid. read more

Made another appointment (since I had a voucher I had to use - another dealfind dud). They did a poor job (because when it rained the next week, we had flooding - we got another gutter cleaning service who showed us the amount of leaves still left over and charged less than the deal amount). They wanted an extra $25 because "they had to fit us in since they didn't know they had us on their calendar" - Really !! You want me to pay for your lack of communication within your company. Bought a Groupon for Metro Gutter and Home Services for chimney cleaning. The techs Kevin and Ronnie came out at their scheduled time and were both professional, courteous and friendly. They did a great job of cleaning both of my chimneys and were fast, clean and no-nonsense. It was nice to not get the typical high pressure extra service up-sell that usually comes with most Groupon purchases. I'll definitely call them for other home repair or maintenance projects that may come up in the future in addition to regular chimney cleaning. read more
