Very nice technician. Was prompt and communicated well. But in the end, he didn't find any blockage in the gutters, so that was not the cause of the leak. And, we have gutter guards - he just checked to ensure they were doing their job - and yes there was no problem. read more

Wished I'd come to Yelp before buying a Groupon for this business. $249 "value" for $99 "special" cleaning & inspection for a two-story home. On the 4th of May "Noel", whose signature line identifies him as the "manager", and I exchanged a couple of emails about my scheduling an appointment for a gutter cleaning. Everything was professional and on point but he revealed that they were backed up and didn't have anything available until May 17th. No prob, I thought, so I requested 5/18....to which he agreed and we both settled on 2pm. I wasn't thrilled about a two week delay but hey, it was what it was. *shrugs* Monday (5/18) was a very busy day for me but I still managed to rush home because I was excited about this appointment. 2p on Monday comes and goes and no Gutters911. I figure they're running late as service providers often are. I left voicemail and email for this company around 2:20p. No response. The only thing listed on their page is a Gmail and a phone number leading straight to voicemail. 3p comes and goes.... then 4p..... I stopped paying attention around 5 and was wondering if somebody from this company had suddenly come down with Covid-19 or something else dramatic had happened. I got an email from "Noel" at 9:30p that evening which read: "Sorry for the late reply. We're a little backed up right now trying to catch up. We'll get you completed here soon. We didn't forget about you." 7.5 hours later, that's exactly what he wrote. I won't post what I wrote back but it wasn't particularly warm. Not knowing what "soon" means and preferring to deal with concrete appointments made by serious business people, I elected to pass on his offer. I've since found out that Groupon only issues cash refunds within 3 days of purchase, so I'm only eligible for a store credit/"Groupon Bucks" at this point. Waiting 2 weeks for "Noel's" first availability was already outside of that window. Not happy with Groupon either. Feel like the whole process is a hustle. You're gonna end up with a store credit no matter what happens because of delays in the process - &/or irresponsible merchants- and Groupon is not giving you your money back. Period. I should have come to Yelp to read reviews upfront. Silly me. Lesson learned. I'll take my $99 store credit and try again with another gutter cleaning company, I guess. read more

The person who took the call referred me to website, asked me to fill form on website and told me that they will come back to me in 48 hours. No clear answers on price or availability of inspection. After another company flaked out on my appointment (long story), I decided to contact Gutters 911. Within 48 hours they sent someone out to my house to take pictures and provide an estimate. The next day (on a Saturday) someone came out to my house and cleared my clogged gutters. I was able to leave a check taped to the door and did not have to be home for the appointment. I've been using Gutters 911 for over two years. When I first emailed Gutters 911, they sent a technician out to my house to evaluate and photograph the house (I didn't need to be home) Within a couple of days they provided me with their analysis and an estimate. I've never had problems with clogged gutters after this company cleaned my gutters. I believe that Gutters 911 does an excellent job of cleaning everything and in ensuring that downspouts are clear. After each cleaning I receive an email message with any gutter or roof issues, along with before and after photos of my gutters. Three times a year Gutters 911 sends me reminder emails, requesting that I schedule an appointment. Once scheduled, they usually arrive within days to perform the work. These reminders are very helpful--I've neglected gutters in the past and ended up with other problems. I recommend Gutters 911 to others in the area. read more

Gutters...I never really gave them much thought...until I saw waterfalls pouring down the side of my house. And then that waterfall was messing up my landscaping and ruining my sleep with thoughts of a damaged foundation or leaky basement. I've had other landscaping/gardener types clear the gutters of leaves by using leaf blowers. But that does NOT clear up issues that leaves *leave* behind of clogged downspouts and other sediment build-up in the gutter. (I will never again waste my $$ having them do that to my gutters cause that clears up jacks***.) This is what I got for a $120 (for a single-family home; cheaper I know for townhouses): 1. Carlos, the technician, *really* cleaned the gutters (scraping the inside of the gutters) and made sure the downspouts were unclogged. (That last part is super-important since obviously if the water can't flow down and away from the house, those nightmares become realities.) 2. He hammered in all of the loose spikes that hold the gutters to the roof around the house. (I had one very loose section that I couldn't get to before.) 3. He took before and after pictures of the gutters to show how well they were cleaned. (The pictures were emailed to me that evening.) I know another gutter cleaning service charges $100 for just the gutter cleaning, and adds $10 to hammer in the loose spikes and $10 for the pictures. So $120 must be the sweet spot. I'm sure you can't go wrong either way, but these guys were great! read more

I called Gutters 911 for gutter cleaning and repair based on previous reviews on Yelp. They gave me an estimate the same day, and it was much cheaper than the other estimate for repair I'd received. I'm no gutter expert, but it seemed like he did a great job. He even e-mailed me photos from before and after the repair to send to my landlord. I didn't know I could be enthusiastic about a raingutter repair company, but these guys are really great! read more

They clean gutters well, and provide photo proof. I don't know why reviewers say the service is "competitively priced" --- they're not, charging about $120 for a townhouse and $150-$200 for a 2 story house. When serviced 4 x per year like I do (once a season), that's $600-$800 per year, $3,000-$4,000 in 5 years, etc. Maybe other reviewers do it once a year or have nice government jobs ?? Their business model is unique -- they say what they'll do and they prove it, but they are nasty people to do business. When I asked about an annual plan, they email response with these words (repeated) - - "don't come to us for the lowest price", "we don't buy business", and "You are also FREE to leave us." I reviewed this business before (Dec. 2009) but for some reason it's not showing up. Here it is again: I found Gutters 911 through an internet search. When I called, Ernst came over within 30 minutes to do an estimate. (They just happened to be working on a big project down the street at the time.) Their prices are very competitive, and he did excellent work. He didn't just hose out the gutters, he actually pulled apart the downspouts to get out the leaf clogs - and also patched holes and made other fixes on the gutters. He took pictures (which I can show to my landlord), explained everything that he'd done, and even took the leaves away! It's really nice to find a company that cares about the quality of their work. I also appreciate the courteous customer service. I'll definitely call them again. Highly recommended! UPDATE 2-11-2013: We used Gutters 911 a couple years in a row. Our home has a number of large trees around it, so we need a very thorough gutter cleaning twice a year. Terrible setup. I called them, but the guy who answered would not talk to me about scheduling my service. He insisted I fill out their online form. He would not talk to me about availability or cost at all. I went ahead and filled out the online form and waited a few days before I got an e-mail. Guess what it wants me to fill out the form again. The e-mail said something was missing. It didn't say what was missing or give me a link to the one I filled out. Just a link for a blank form to fill out again. Terrible business model. We have been using Gutters 911 for many years now... reason being, they are excellent! I've never had a problem scheduling an appointment and they get back to me within a couple days with a date of service (no, they do not respond immediately, but that doesn't mean they won't get back to you). Their work and the before/after photos proves to me they are doing what they're being paid for. When we needed them do clean gutters of another home, they pointed out roof problems and took photos for us. I got 3 estimates to put screens on the gutters on my townhouse. Estimates ranged from $450 to $720, all of which I thought were too high, or at least more than I wanted to pay. I then found Gutters911 and asked them for an estimate. They thought I should hold off on getting screens installed until they had a chance to clean the gutters a couple of times to determine what type of screen I should get, or if I should even get screens at all. They noted that we have pine trees in the neighborhood and needles might be able to get through screens. If screens were installed and pine needles or anything got through, it would be more expensive to have to remove the screens to clean the gutters in the future. And they may not be able to reinstall the screens. With the price they charged to clean my gutters (which was also 50% or more lower than the price given by the other 3 companies just to clean the gutters) I could have them come out almost 7 years for the same price as the lowest estimate I was given to install screens. Gutters911 gave me before and after photos that showed what type of debris was in the gutter. The entire area around my house was clean, no debris on the ground or deck. So I am very happy with Gutters911. Felt they were the most honest in terms of not trying to sell me a high-priced service or product that I really didn't need. The other 3 companies didn't even mention that as an alternative. Will use Gutters911 from now on and just have my gutters cleaned. read more

They did get back to me with an estimate after a week, but I have already given the work to another company in the interim. Pricing is about mid-range from the other quotes I have received. I did receive this note in an email: "VERY IMPORTANT NOTE: Please be aware that service your property on MAY, JUNE, NOVEMBER or WINTER could take longer than expected due to the high volume of calls and adverse weather conditions. Our customers with service on a regular basis are first in line. If you PRE-PAY the service, we will schedule your property under PRIORITY label. Thank you for your understanding." Understandable, but I didn't notice this on their website and I didn't get an email back indicating that they received my message until a week later. I just would have preferred a bit more communication since they indicate on their website that they do almost everything via email. I was under a bit of a time crunch to get this done so a week was just too long for me to wait to have everything scheduled when all the other contractors got back to me in 2-3 days. They must be very good at what they do by all the glowing reviews, but I just wanted other people to be aware of the lead time on scheduling. read more

After a big series of rain storms our gutters overflowed. I went to Gutter's 911 website somewhat nervous because of some of the recent poor reviews here. I'm happy with my service but am leaving this review mostly to help would-be potential customers with a few tips: Gutters 911 likes to do all of their business/customer relations via email, I'm OK with this but it means a few things: 1. You have to read their emails, including the fine print at the end of their first email that says you need to respond and accept their terms of service. I think I sent 2 confirmation emails prior to my estimate, and then another two emails confirming I'd like service after the estimate. A little annoying, but they probably have their reasons. 2. They tell you pretty clearly that they might not get to you right away. I got service within a week of my initial request for a quote and that was fine by me. Considering the amount of rain I was expecting longer. I will say I got an email at midnight, followed by a text at 3am asking to confirm an appointment the same day. It worked out alright because I got a response to them around 8am on a saturday. 3. I had them clean my gutters because I didn't want to get on my own roof... so you can't really fault them for wanting to work safely in decent weather. That probably explains a little bit of their scheduling. At the end of the day, my gutter is flowing freely, and thats all that really matters to me. They did the work they said they'd do. I'd use them again, especially that I know what to expect now. read more

Requested an estimate online as their site recommends. Never heard from anyone after a few weeks. Tried to call, voice mailbox full.

Apparently, I am suppose to get the gutters cleaned every 6 months which I neglected to do. There was a bad storm yesterday. Consequently, there was a huge build up of leaves and debris which blocked the gutter and led to a huge downpour of water into my window well, which then led to flooding into my basement. It was a disaster! I called Gutters 911 this morning and spoke to a really nice man who told me to go online and request for a free estimate, which was an easy process. When Ernst, the technician, arrived at my house the same day to do the estimate, I asked him if he could proceed with cleaning the gutters even though I did not yet have an appointment. He initially said no and politely explained that he could not because he had so many estimates he still had to complete. He saw that I was really stressed out about the possibility of my basement flooding again the next day because of the heavy rain and thunderstorm forecasted. Therefore, he agreed to do a quick inspection and assess the damage. He got up on top of the roof, inspected everything and then agreed to do some minor cleaning to prevent further flooding. However, after seeing how bad the gutters looked, he ended up cleaning the entire gutter!!!! I can not tell you how thankful I was to Ernst for cleaning the gutters for me!!!!!! He was extremely knowledgeable and professional. After he cleaned the gutters, he pointed out other potential problems with the gutters, which I really appreciated because they could lead to future damage to the roof and house. It showed me that he valued his work and he also valued me as a customer. It's not often that you come across a company that really understands what it means to have good customer service. I will definitely be using Gutters 911 for all future cleanings or gutter related services. I used gutters 911 a few weeks ago. I have a house with a pretty steep gable roof. I was attracted to their service due to: 1.) Positive yelp reviews 2.) Website promises of superior service, being most interested in: 2A.) "We are the only company that provides validation of the work performed through POST SERVICE PHOTOS." 2B.) "In order to serve you better, Gutters 911 analyzes the types of debris we find while cleaning your gutters. This information help us to advise you about how many cleanings you will need each year and if a screen system will work up there." 2C.) "Our dated pictures offer the bona fide evidence that your gutters were really cleaned and the downspouts tested. As a courtesy, our Technicians always look up there for roofing related issues or leaks as a result of broken roof vent pipe collars. This inspection is to ensure there are no obvious problems. If any issues are found, photographs are emailed quickly to help you address urgent repairs." My experience: 1.) Filled out their online service estimate form (day 1) and received a response back the next day (day 2) with quoted price and next available appointment date of following day (day 3). 2.) Accepted quoted price and agreed to service date of day 3. 3.) Late day 3, recieved e-mail notification that appointment was delayed and service postponed until day 4. 4.) Service provided on day 4. Gutters were cleaned and the resulting debris blown off my patio. 5.) Received pictures and info about condition of my gutters a couple weeks after service. Delay might have been a fluke... or maybe normal. Regardless, ended up with pictures showing their work and advice on how to properly maintain gutters. read more

I'm not smart enough to know that I need to clean my gutters regularly. During a heavy thunderstorm I noticed our gutter looked a lot like Niagra Falls. A check of the downspout showed no water was coming out. I found the Gutters911 website, and was a little bit wary, but I liked their pictures which give you an idea of their estimates. Their estimate was right in line. They arrived and did a fantastic job. The clog was a bit more extensive than expected, that one gutter had a screen installed by another well-known Fairfax firm, that actually made the clog worse!. The Gutters911 worker disassembled the joints as needed to clean everything out, and they completed the work at the agreed upon price.I wish all businesses were like this. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. We have used Gutters 911 for years. We have consistently had them out 2 times a year - once after all of the fliers have fallen in the spring, then once at the end of the fall when all of the leaves are down. They are ALWAYS on time - they photograph EVERY gutter before they clean it, and EVERY gutter AFTER they clean it - and email all documentation to you after they are finished. Within 24 hours of my acceptance they had cleaned my gutters and rooftop and inspected the downspouts and bagged all debris. They require a payment be left for the technician to pick up and they leave a receipt and any comments on your property. read more

Gutters 911 was able to get me an estimate the same day I contacted them. They came and spent almost 1.5 hours cleaning the gutters on my townhouse which had gutter guards in place. I have used this company for 5 years on a rental house in Falls Church. The fact that they provide you with photos is really important. They also never leave behind any debris. Recently had my gutters cleaned and serviced by Gutters911. They do everything by email but they do send out a quality control person to look at your gutters and write up an estimate (which they email). They were higher in cost than the other companies I talked to but the estimator really seemed to know what he was talking about. He said they wouldn't just blow the debris but would scrap it. He also said they would provide before and after photos so that we could see the work that was actually done. Once we agreed a technician came out the next day (Carlos) to do the work. He worked long (from 1 to 7pm). The next day the estimator came back to check the work and they actually found and fixed some things. We also asked them to install gutter shield which they went out and bought for us (we reimbursed them) and then installed. Overall we were very pleased with their work. I would recommend this company to others. read more
