I also noticed a $1.00 authorization charge on my American Express card to verify the payment method. Everything appeared confirmed and in order. At 10:00 p.m. Saturday night, I emailed to verify that they had my cell phone number. Instead of a simple confirmation, I received a phone call at 11:55 p.m. informing me that my reservation had been canceled earlier in the week. The problem: nobody ever notified me. No email. No phone call. No voicemail. They simply canceled the reservation internally while leaving me with a confirmation number and every reason to believe I had transportation scheduled. With only five hours until pickup time, it was impossible to secure another car service, and Uber availability at my location was extremely limited that early in the morning. As a result, I missed my flight, missed a Mother's Day family dinner, and had to pay $340 to rebook my ticket. When I called the company the next business day seeking an explanation, I was transferred between three different people and ultimately never received a return call or email. Mistakes happen. Failing to notify a customer that you've canceled a confirmed reservation, especially for an airport pickup, is unacceptable. Failing to follow up afterward is even worse. I would never trust this company for transportation where timing matters.

The driver refused to turn the radio on because he said he would not be able to hear if police officers were trying to pull him over...meanwhile, he was speeding the entire ride where 1 guest actually fell off her seat going around a turn. When I told him I paid a hefty price and wanted music to celebrate my wedding, he gave me a rude response while throwing an "F" bomb at me. After the wedding, we had guests going downtown to an after party and he refused transportation for any guests carrying alcohol (South Carolina allows opened containers on "hired charter vehicles" so this isn't true). We unfortunately needed to uber downtown instead. When I asked for a refund, I did not receive a timely response from the company. When I asked if they could return our belongings that were left on the bus, I was told twice (5 days apart) that they are looking into it and needed to await a response from the driver which had not been given. There are plenty of other companies in the area. Please go with someone else.

My Charleston 2026 Review Series 1 of 20 plus:…read more Explore Charleston! The Charleston Visitors Center is the ideal spot for first time visitors to become acquainted with the City of Charleston. It will serve as the perfect introduction to my 2026 Charleston Vacation Review series. The Visitor's Center introduced my family and I to the City's history and charm. It occupies the historic railroad building that was established in 1856. In 1991 it became the Visitor's Center. This is a linear building incorporated into the historical city grid that is parallel to a transit way which once served as a railroad. Although it is close to a mile from the heart of the city at Market Street, it is surrounded by historic buildings including the Charleston Museum across Meeting Street and the historic Embassy Suites a block south on Meeting Street where we stayed. From the perspective of a transit hub, the Visitor Center introduced us to Charleston. On our leading visit, we boarded the Gray Line City Tour bus in the transit way parallel to the building. On follow up visits we'd catch the free Charleston shuttle (D.A.S.H.) and the Boone Plantation Shuttle. The free Charleston shuttle stops are along John Street. I did take note that it also serves city buses. From serving as a place to board the vehicles that gave us tours of the City, I got to spend time here. First off it served as an air conditioned refuge while waiting for the tours or taking a breather from the summer weather. What I saw inside was a linear building featuring a gift shop, rest rooms, travel center, and mini museum (also called exhibition hall). The Visitor Center that I spent time in provides walls of brochures, maps, human travel guidance and more. The reality for me is that the Internet served as my Charleston tour guide. I passed over looking at the walls of brochures. However, I do admit that it would be nice to take a breather from my phone. Additionally the Visitor Center serves as a miniature museum. While waiting for the tour shuttle, I saw continuous video loops on Charleston with exhibits showcasing the City's history and culture. This includes a sweetgrass basket exhibit. Downbuilding from the Visitor Center is the gift shop. This includes a coffee kiosk that was always closed. The inventory includes Charleston books and bottled water. This is a premier spot for bottled water. At $2, the bottled water is a solid deal. Especially when we were on a walk in the northern reaches of the Historic District or waiting for transportation. The gift shop associates were the only people we associated with at the Visitor Center. Where the Visitor Center is a premier spot for water, it is not one for using a restroom. Previously I mentioned that the Visitor Center is incorporated into the historic railroad building. I get the impression that this historic preservation has created the challenge of accommodating restrooms. As a consequence there is a unisex restroom where men and women share a restroom. This is my first time experiencing a unisex restroom. I can write with confidence that I am not the only one that felt awkward. In conclusion the Charleston Visitor Center was the ideal establishment for us to get acquainted with Charleston, South Carolina. It was advantageous being one block north of our hotel. This is the ideal establishment to commence "My Charleston 2026 Vacation 20-plus Review Series."

Planning was extremely easy with these guys, they were reliable and not only on-time but early! Of course, that didn't mean they were eager to leave ahead of time, it was all for the sake of preparedness. Alice, driven by Darvin, was magical. We experienced roads we've been on hundreds of times for the first time riding in her backseat. Darvin drove carefully and comfortably from John's Island to Downtown Charleston- about 45 minutes. The whole time we were enchanted by the starry sky, the breeze through our hair, and the era-appropriate jazz music playing through the radio. It truly was a cherry on top one of the greatest days of my life, and writing this review is the least I can do to remember it. While I didn't ride in the shuttle myself, it stuck out to me as unique and many of the guests appreciated both its convenience and the way it set the mood for the evening for our guests, allowing them to also meet one another before the event. Can't say enough good things about our experience with LowCountry Valet. Really hope we can find some reason to use their service again soon!

Approximately 1500 hours (3:00 pm), the driver approached bus stop at Rivers Ave/Remount NB where my husband and I were awaiting pickup according to the transit app. The driver's behavior was unprofessional, disrespectful, and discriminatory and caused discomfort to my husband and I. My husband is a Retired VA 100 percent disabled U.S. Veteran. "On 20 March at approximately 1500 hours the driver responded rudely and dismissively: "I am not picking up passengers, only dropping off". I approached the entrance with full busfare in hand. I understood her refusing to allow my husband and I on the transit. Respectfully I greeted the driver and entered our fare into the register. She then sarcastically asks my husband to disassemble our small carryon wagon holding a bag of dogfood for our service dogs at home. As we unloaded before entering fully onto the bus the driver raised her voice at me demanding " help him I'm in a hurry, you should have already taken that out". Several passengers sitting near the back began yelling slanders at my husband and I. The driver took No action to maintain control of her passengers conduct. We, my husband and I took our seat at the front right and continued the route in a composed and respectful manner to reach our destination. We feel the said driver's conduct was rude and unprofessional and even Unconstitutional. We are asking for a formal investigation into the driver's conduct; additional driver training on safety and customer service and an apology or compensation for those effected.
