I will never go anywhere else, such an amazing team! they fixed my tiny pink car and I'm forever grateful

I was clipped by an unaware driver and I chose this place because it was recommended by Genesis website. They were more expensive than other shops but trusted the recommendation. My vehicle is hasn't even been serviced yet and has about 3k miles. I take extra care because I lease it. The estimate process and scheduling work were seamless and The work looked great. Surprisingly, it was done within 24 hours when I was told it would be at least 2 days. This did raise suspicion. My disappointment comes at pick up. They said it washed but it was way dirtier than when I picked it up. That wasn't such a big deal and didn't want to wait. Then I got home under the garage lights and noticed several scratches around the fender/hood that were not there before. There was also masking tape still underneath the bumper which makes me think they didn't remove the bumper as I thought they would have to. Again, their work looks good, so time will tell on the quality. Hopefully, the new scratches will come out after a buff job. But I shouldn't even need to worry about that from a quality shop. You can see in last photo the new scratches and how dirty the vehicle was. read more

Outstanding service. I took my minivan in last week with a dislocated front bumper on the right side. I was dreading the cost and losing the family car for any length of time. The guys at Metro Motor were super friendly. They wrestled the bumper back into shape and secured it. Then noticed that it needed some help on the left side too and fixed that. I was out in 20ish minutes with the car in great shape, my spirits high from outstanding value, and faith in human kindness and ingenuity restored! Will definitely be coming back. read more

I cannot say enough good things about my experience here. They were exceptionally professional and wanted to make sure that everything was done correctly. They went above and beyond to check and double check that everything was OK and when it took a little bit longer to get them was originally expected they were upfront about it And explained they were waiting on parts. They got it fixed as soon as they could and again they made sure everything was done correctly and running smoothly. I have been to Best Capitol Auto 3 different times with 2 different cars. These people are honest brokers who do great work. They fixed a side view mirror on a previous car that got knocked off by a jerk who didn't even leave a note. (DC drivers: think about mirrors that fold in with your next car purchase). They even offered to look for a cheaper part on eBay! They also solved a mysterious leak (pollen in the sunroof). This last repair they replaced a door handle on my current car. They save me money because they have a reasonable labor rate. Plus, they are very nice and easy to deal with. On this repair I had to wait a few days because the by the time the part was shipped they had gotten busy. The other visits have been quick turnarounds. While I always hope not to need more auto body work, at least I don't have to worry about where to get it done. Thank you guys! A+! read more

Came in for a sideswiped mirror. The folks at Metro Motor Collision were able to pop it back into place and did not charge me. Wouldn't even take a tip! I had a really good experience here with getting damage fixed on the door and rear quarter panel of my car. They did the bodywork and paint vs replacing the panels - looked like new! Aliens landed right in front of my car just as I was putting my foot on the gas. Their ship could not be avoided. I crashed. State Farm told me to take my beloved car here, so I did. I needed them to take a long time repairing it because there had been some sort of delay at the DMV getting my registration sticker and without it, it was illegal to drive or park or both... (my temporary expired during the crash-tow-tow again-fix time period) So my point is I don't know how long they had the car because I was too busy learning silly medical things to care. So yesterday I trekked back out to my old stomping grounds here near the Rhode Island Ave Metro to get the car. The staff was polite and efficient, picking me up at the metro and driving me to the shop. My car is sparkly and wonderful. No complaints. PS: In case you're worried about the aliens, they're fine. They were just visiting the White House. Their spacecraft was heavy duty and barely had a scratch. Why are you worried about aliens? Are you one of THEM??? read more

I have used them twice and both time they did a fantastic job. I got several estimates before I used them, they were not the lowest but they gave me a thorough itemized estimate. I had a fantastic experience with Metro Motor Collision at 1225 W St. NE in DC. I cannot say enough about how professional but friendly and responsive they were, Lili in particular. I got outstanding customer service: an estimate to which they stuck (and they even threw in a couple of extra small things); a timeline to which they also stuck; phone calls and texts to update me along the way; and a replaced and painted front fender + lining that were not only beautifully done but the entire car was detailed inside and out. In addition, I inadvertently left a set of keys behind, and they called me and waited for me to make the 20-minute trip back to recuperate my keys, even though it was past closing time for them. If you need body shop work, this is THE place to go! Lili, Kareem, and Hisham went above and beyond, and I really appreciated dealing with a diverse team headed by a woman. I had a scratch on the rear quarter panel and later slid on a patch of ice and busted my passenger headlight and bumper. I got a quote of $1243. I purchased the bumper and headlight and had Save More (good ppl) install. Then I went back to these guys to get a new estimate. The new estimate was $1159, $84 cheaper! How? I left disgruntled. I called back and asked "if you don't have to install headlight, the bumper nor paint the bumper how is only $84 cheaper?" He then stated painting the bumper was not in the original estimate! I took my car in for an initial estimate and eventually chose this location to repaint the side panel of my vehicle. I got it back three days later which I felt was a decent amount of time considering what they needed to fix was not that big of a project. The only problem I had was the interior of my car had grease stains on the driver side door also the front floor mats were in disarray and had mud footprints. I give them three stars for the fact that the interior of my car was dirtier when I received it back from them than when I gave it to them to have work done on the side panel, otherwise they did do what my insurance company instructed them to do read more

After a horrible car repair situation last year I was not looking forward to dealing with an auto body shop again. I park my car on the street in the city so it tends to see a lot of wear and tear. My car was side swiped overnight. The mirror came off and there was damage to the door and rear panel. This is one of the locations my insurance uses. I also liked that they were in walking distance to a metro. On the phone the manager was very polite and answered my many questions. I took the car in and dropped it off. I opted against having the rental car people pick me up because I was not exactly sure when I would get to the location and instead was going to take the metro downtown to the rental car location. This repair shop offered to drive me and my bf to the metro but we declined since it was a quick walk. I was told initially that the repair would take 4-5 days. I received a call on the third day and was told it was ready. The next day I picked it up and was able to leave the rental car at the repair facility. The repair was completed beautifully. The paint matches very well and is blended perfectly. The car was washed inside and out. I paid my deductible and walked out. I am so pleased with the quality of the work, the customer service skills, and the general overall sense things are working well at the shop. Highly recommended. read more

I came here after a minor accident, at the recommendation of my car insurance inspector. I could not have been more pleased with the service I received - Joe kept me updated the entire process and was so nice to work with. There prices were very fair and reasonable and everything was explained to me. I am used to car dealers, repair/body shops, etc. charging an arm and a leg with no explanation of the work, so this was a very welcome change. I think the shop gets most of their business from insurance claim repairs, but I will definitely be going back to them for any other work I need to be done on my vehicle. A real gem in DC! read more

Excellent customer service, quick turnaround! I had an accident on Tuesday, dropped my car of the shop on Wednesday, and picked it up on Thursday. They shuttled me to and from the Enterprise Rental Car. A few weeks later, the grill on the front of my BMW loosened. I called to ask if it was something they could fix since it wasn't an insurance claim. They told me to bring it in. I came in and they fixed it while I waited free of charge. The one star reflects the friendliness of the office staff, otherwise I would have began this review with a disclaimer that "This body shop deserves 0 stars." My BMW needed dent & paint repair on the passenger side and after the poor quality of painting, my car needed an additional $1,000+ in sensor repairs, due to carelessness. I wouldn't recommend this place. I was quoted a time of 5 days and it took nearly 2 weeks. I had to call and check on the status of my vehicle multiple times. Items in my car were definitely stolen. And I know what you're thinking...why leave items in your car? Well why not just have trustworthy individuals who don't steal. I didn't bother bringing this up to the manager as it's a game of my word versus theirs. And I lacked proof. However, I do not lack candor. I'm a great American citizen. Anywho, I'll know for next time. Which I hope would obviously never happen again. And to make matters worst when I picked up my car it had scratches on it which they agreed to buff it out. When speaking to an individual there I asked him if he knew about the car coming in as I spoke with the manager the day prior. He stated no. Then I said are you not going to call him to confirm? He stated I don't like calling people on there day off. Well sir, here I am on my day off dropping off a car I've had in my possession for less than 24hrs. He also told me that even though I dropped off my car on a Saturday how no techs would be in until Monday. I said even though I see a gentleman working on a DC police car? He said he's here on his own accord. Yeah right! Doesn't sound correct to me. You guys already got your money and more for an estimate that was $2.5k which is now somehow $4k. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this place nor come back. And too those wondering...no I did not sign a void liability agreement until I was there to pick up my car the first time. Doesn't seem right. Oooh and when I was there the first time to pick up my so-called finished car it had tape still on the bumper and discoloration and it also had to be buffed out. So avoid this place. read more

They did a great job repairing my front bumper. The other auto body shops that looked at my bumper said that I would need to replace it. Repairing the bumper instead of replacing it saved me $500. I came her for a my left side bumper being cracked and dented in.. They had my car for about a 8 days not bad because I was in a rental so it didnt bother me.
