A few months ago a car backed into my car. I visited several auto repair shops and TBH, there's not a lot of variation in the estimate for an injured BMW (AKA "burn my wallet."). However, Karl and the folks at Imperial were noticeably more responsive, explanatory and just plain pleasant in a situation where frustration and expense is the norm. I made an appointment with Karl for an estimate of two spots on my Lexus, where I misjudged the space in a parking garage next to a concrete column, one of which was one week old. Karl immediately examined the car, discussed options that were much more moderate in costs than I initially thought I would have to pay. Without hesitation, he took a cloth and solution, worked on the areas, and they looked almost gone when he finished! He again gave advice on how to handle the few parts that needed repainting. I was overwhelmed by Karl's kindness and generosity. It blew my mind. If I ever need more serious work done, hopefully not, Karl is the person I will contact. Fixed dent in bumper for a very reasonable price- whole process took 30 minutes for much less than I thought it would cost.

I brought my car in after getting a little too close to an SUV's rear end. They fixed it up for a pretty reasonable price considering the damage I did to it. They also had it ready about a week before they said it would be because the parts were readily available. Great service and great people to work with. Highly recommended. read more

I had sent out my picture of my car (my paint was chipping off) to different auto shops and they all came back with a price. Karl asked me to come to his stop and I was gladly to drive (from VA) for him to see the damage. I arrived and he took a look at the issue and explained to me what needed to be done and how it it was going to get fixed. The other shops didn't really do that and so I greatly appreciated it that he explained it to me. Other places that I reached out just felt like I was just another car. Karl really treated me like I was a customer with a car that really wanted to get it fixed. He went out of his way to talk to me via email (I'm deaf and it's much easier for me to email rather than get on the phone) and we kept in communications on when I could get it done and where I could leave my car prior to Monday. 4 days later, I go pick up my car and it looks like it's coming off of the parking lot. I fell in love with it all over again. He explain again what happened and what they did. AND THEY CLEANED MY CAR! I haven't washed my white car since July because of that paint chip. I found IAB in Yelp; it was consistently top-rated. I spoke with Calbert in Rockville and decided to go with them. I'm glad I did! They did an excellent job removing the damage on the driver's side of my E350: extensive gouging on the rear door, wheel and wheel well. The dent in the rear door was bad enough to junk the door and completely replace it. When I picked up the car from the conveniently located Bethesda office, I was quite amazed at the results. So was my wife who gave IAB 9.9/10 (she's a tough rater). The service level was excellent and the job completed within 2 weeks. Never ended up using this place, because our son-in-law decided to go to the dealership for the body work. It was his car. Carl made a phone appointment and was on time and spent time explaining how the repair would be done and why sensors could be damaged by the accident. That meant they would make sure everything worked before fixing the rear bumper. He works with all insurance and can help with getting a rental car. I think he would be better than the dealership!! Carl and his crew did phenomenal work replacing the bumper on my Tucson after a minor fender bender. There was initially some concern over whether or not the job would be done before the holidays, but they ended up finishing a whole day ahead of schedule. They even went the extra mile and did a little bit of detail work on the interior of the car and hooked me up with some equipment to fix some pre-existing dings and scratches on the car as well.
