Whether it's safe these days at certain hours I'm not sure. I know I wasn't fond of traveling to Port Chester alone at times in my life. I remember the times I needed a cab. Finding a cab was hit or miss. Incoming trains are not on the side where you can easily enter the Station Building. You walk down the long flight of stairs to a back street. Frequently my family would be waiting outside the station to pick me up. Sometimes they were late! I've never seen the inside of the station dirty. I always found it deserted. I didn't travel during peak hours. On my return trips to Manhattan I go outside and wait patiently for the train. I'm always afraid I'll miss it if I wait inside. I sure don't want to be stuck there waiting for the next train! When my Cousin Jim was alive we would sit in the car and talk. When we saw the train coming I'd head upstairs to the track. He'd wait to see I boarded safely. That memory makes me sad. It was nice to be cared for by a Cousin/Brother. Since he died I don't go back to Port Chester much. So much has changed since I was growing up. This station used to have a small coffee stand that…read moresold newspapers, and bagels. The best part of it was the man behind the stand. He was blind. I was always amazed on how he was able to give people the exact change. Today the shop no longer exists. It is now a Restaraunt that is only open in the spring and summer time. This location gets commuters from Greenwich, rye and Port Chester. I can see a Starbucks here making a killing.

The process of booking with him was super smooth. He was really nice, helped me with my bags in the snow and got me to Newark on time despite a small snow storm. Abe called me while my plane was pushing off the tarmac to let me know I accidentally left my Canada goose down ski jacket in his car. Interesting still is the fact that the owner never took the time to contact me directly, nor did anyone else from the company, on the day of the service, despite repeated assurance someone would follow up. He is now responding to my complaint here on Yelp, where you'll notice the negative reviews are piling up. Furthermore and most distressing, the passenger they called to dispute my complaint and are quoting in their long-winded rebuttal is my son, who is under 21 years of age, and reported "a strange phone call where someone from the car company called to ask if I got to the airport on time." This condescending attitude and refusal to accept responsibility for inferior service is further evidence of a "customer is always wrong" attitude, and my only regret is that I did not photograph the vehicle and the driver when they arrived (late). I'm certain the owners are banking on dissatisfied customers not bothering to write reviews, hence the follow-up only once a Yelp review is published. There are many similarly-priced options for car service to the airport in Westchester, and I strongly recommend to anyone reading this, that you pass this one by.

On top of that, I was really disappointed to see that the disability/accessibility line was the same as the regular line. If you have a disability, you're basically stuck waiting in the same long line as everyone else, which can be extremely difficult. This was honestly such a frustrating experience for me. I've flown out of plenty of airports & have never felt this overwhelmed by the process. JFK was just too chaotic for me, & unfortunately, I don't see myself flying out of here again.

Several incompetent drivers cut him off because THEY waited to the last moment to merge into the right traveling lane. With his excellent driving skills the rest of the passengers never even knew what was happening. His use of the GPS rerouted us a few times to avoid traffic jams that could be seen extending off to the horizon; getting us to and from the casino on time. There were even entertainment on the bus, enhancing the ride. And the bathroom was clean and smelled pleasant.
