$$$$$ EXPENSIVE! $$$$$ This is a premium membership repair company that can get work done ASAP but you WILL pay 3-5 times the average price. You may be advised to replace something that isn't broken or buy a whole new unit when you don't need to. You are paying for the advertising and a company to post fake account 5 star reviews. Case in point: our A/C unit started failing in +95° heat in Chattanooga during August 2023. I suspected it just needed to be topped off on refrigerant and checked for leaks. The first tech unplugged the drain hose but didn't bring any refrigerant or equipment to service the unit. He did recommend and scheduled a cleaning. The house was hot within 24 hours and they were called again. The second tech quoted us 1K to recharge the unit and do a leak test. Our house didn't cool down at all and they recommended replacing the compressor at $5700, which might work, or replace the whole unit. A salesman named Tommy arrived the same day at 530 during dinner and does his sales pitch to price out a new unit and didn't leave until 930. We tell him our budget and he goes to his vehicle to work numbers. His first of six bids was almost 20K. His lowest bid was 13K. He didn't mention brands. We thanked him for his time. (Constructive Criticism: When the customers tell the salesman that the husband is a full time student and the wife works for NASA, don't ignore the wife and only speak to the husband.) Knowing this is high we called a couple other companies for estimates. A tech with almost 20 years of experience arrives and does the diagnostic. Our A/C unit is in great shape and only 5 years old. There is nothing wrong with the compressor. He installs refrigerant and the house immediately starts cooling. The test he performed clearly showed a leak in the interior evaporator coil. The bid to replace that was less than 4K. The cost for the labor and refrigerant was $319. The cost to replace the unit with a Maytag was under $9K Buyer beware. Do your research and understand that upselling to replace rather than fixing the problem can be common.

Overpriced. $500 an hour is ridiculous. That's to replace hot water heater in garage.

By Friday early afternoon the new water heater was installed by two very polite and capable young men. One even went an extra mile by making sure a ball valve that was there already for an accessory, would not leak as he noticed a slight leak in it. I had not even noticed that. The speed in this quality service surprised me. I know how so many service businesses are completely backed up. The leak from the bottom was so bad that I could not turn on my hot water heater even to use the hot water while waiting for the replacement. I believe they placed me on a rush because of that, since at first I was told it would likely be the next week before they could install. Thank you Best Plumbing for living up to your name. There is a reason your company has been in business since the 1960's. Best Plumbing is on my short list of plumbers to call.

I have had more than a couple frustrating interactions with this company, the most recent of which…read morebeing there a return trip to repair a new gas water heater that was spewing water at a rate that completely flooded my entire garage ruining everything in it overnight. In keeping with Best Plumbing's usual level of service, they did not show up on time and left without speaking to me & having not completed the work, due in part to his making the assumption that my gas has been turned off when in fact it is on and has been on without interruption for 15+ years. So, I am still without hot water after calling this morning and speaking with a rude office worker who told me someone would be out before 4 PM today, yet I sit here on Friday night without hot water and when I turn on the faucet I get a horrible noise and air. After calling their office at 4:15 and receiving a voicemail greeting including there after hours rates of $120-$240 an hour, I gave up. In addition to their shockingly bad quality of work and inability to actually communicate with their customers, they seem to be confused as to the limit of their responsibilities. At least one employee believes he is a member of the state of Tennessee's child protective services as well as part of my neighborhood watch. After a friend of mine showed them to the water heaterwith my seven-year-old daughter curiously following, the plumber made the incorrect observation that my friend, who is epileptic due to a traumatic brain injury, must be "high and on a lot of drugs", (something that would've been clarified as the result of an earlier seizure tantamount to a lightning storm inside ones cranium had he actually knocked on the door and spoken to me - the homeowner.)and was moments away from dialing 911 which would have resulted in a disaster. Fortunately yet unfortunately, he instead drove straight to my family's place of business and shared this misinformation with my family and an entire office full of employees who quickly called a family member who was able to put to rest the concerns of this ignorant plumber with a God complex. It must be noted that this plumber never once attempted to speak to me, the person on the service ticket who has called their business multiple times in the past and is also the homeowner before flipping out , doing shoddy work, and leaving without verifying that the problem was solved. If you need a plumber they are definitely not the best. If you need child protective services then call child protective services. If you need an ignorant idiot with no communication skills and a God complex who comes from an office run by a receptionist Who is rude, uninformed, and tries to carry on multiple conversations at the same time and then lies to you then this plumber is the one for you.
