This is a very nice facility. It is fairly new and well maintained. The staff are friendly and helpful. I rented a 10x10 climate controlled unit and the unit was spotless. Looks like all units are first floor but not all are climate controlled. Selling points for me in choosing this location were the location close to Lake Nona, climate controlled units and the ability of our moving company to get their truck (60 foot) in when dropping off part of our belongings directly to storage. My only complaints are with the reservation process which is a corporate issue and not with the local staff. I moved here recently from out of state and needed to secure a storage unit prior to arrival in town. With Metro they will hold a unit for up to seven days but will not let you put a deposit or set up everything online. You need to be there in person to do all the paperwork and set up payments. Never having dealt with Metro before, let alone this location I was a bit concerned they might not have a unit for me when I arrived. I did not have a problem but it would have been nice to at least do all the paperwork online ahead of time and then all I would need to do when I arrived is show ID and sign paperwork. read more

This storage facility is fairly new and well maintained. The staff is friendly and always helpful. We have covered parking for our Class C and having power available is a definite plus. Although not 30/50 amp, the 15 amp is sufficient to keep the RV batteries charged and can pre-cool the fridge, etc. Security isn't an issue and the security cameras do offer a view of the entire facility. The only minor drawback is there isn't a wash rack which would come in handy. Otherwise, it's a great place. read more

The place is very clean and well run.. great staff, not an issue from that end. However we started renting a mid size storage unit a couple of years back, then a few months ago we received a notice of a rent increase "not a big surprIse" given most things are going up. But when they ask for almost a 90% price hike and give 30 days notices that's when I call it opportunistic. They can do what they want, but once you move all your stuff into a unit, it's a pain to have to move. Dont be surprised if they give you a great rate so you move in then increase the rent. We spent the funds to put an organization system in our garage, something I should have done a long time ago, in the end it's better to invest your money then to give it away for rent. read more

I'll be honest the property clean ...brand new look and feel but frankly they are extremely quick to raise your rate once you rent ours went up almost immediately and if your payment isn't extremely timely aka you get paid bi weekely and can't afford to auto pay they are quick to send out threat emails and lock your access immediately ... in my case I've paid my bill and still show up to find a non payment lock left on my unit for over a week ... todays a holiday so store closed ...frankly notnok with me at all I've paid and have a red lock on my door when I need access ... as soon as I can find a new place to rent I'll be moving ...horrible customer service in my opinion buyer beware of this place read more

Kristine, (sorry if I misspelled it), provided one of the best customer service to date. I am new to the Orlando area and finding the right storage unit to fit what I needed to store was a bit challenging. With a little luck and perseverance, I found myself at Metro Self Storage. Kristine was very welcoming and I felt comfortable and safe with storing my household goods there at the jump. The storage units were very clean and secured. I like the fact that it's accessible 24/7 and it's a convenient location from my temporary residence. I would recommend Metro Self Storage to anyone looking for their storage needs. As mentioned, Kristine was very welcoming and very knowledgeable of the local area. From which store had the freshest produce and just a general advice about the whereabouts of what I needed. I moved out of another storage company facilities when they increase the monthly fee $60 a month after six months of being there. I found metro storage and am totally happy. The customer service is excellent and the buildings have wide driveways to maneuver vehicles without feeling you will hit something. I am impressed with everything about this facility until I can find my new home, feel my belongings will be safe. read more

Horrible customer service! I arrived to leave my keys and close my unit. My first trip was around 11:45 AM with a sign on the window saying Management was gone until 12:20. No problem. Short staffed. Probably getting lunch. So, I make a second trip around 2:15. I walk in with our storage keys and the woman says "Did you bring your lock? I need your lock to check you out." I respond, "Oh, I assumed you'd want to check it out and get the lock then" and she replies "No, I need the lock first, then I'll go check it." Pain, but ok. I l Literally GET IN MY CAR, DRIVE TO THE STORAGE UNIT, GET THE LOCK, RETURN UP FRONT WITHIN FIVE MINUTES AND THERE'S A SIGN ON THE WINDOW NOW SAYING MANAGEMENT GONE UNTIL 3:00 PM. No lie, That's it. She never said a word to me, SHE KNEW I was going back to get the lock and would obviously be returning within minutes. And she was gone, her car was gone off property. I can't tell you how frustrating it is that now I must return a THIRD TIME to return these keys and HOPE she is actually there. And it's the fact that SHE SAID NOTHING TO ME, She just left.
