The TSA pre-check line had a few people, but moved quickly. There are lots of great and healthy food options throughout the terminals. There's also ample space to sit and charge your devices. My only star deduction is how terrible getting there via car can be if you hit it at the wrong time as well as how bad the vehicle traffic can get, especially on Friday afternoons. To avoid this, I took the metro home, which is super convenient and inexpensive from DCA.

This is for terminal 1…read more Terrible. Being in terminal 1 was being in a time machine back to airlines in the 1990's. It was a very tight and compact area. No where near enough room or seats for all the passengers on flights. The food options were minimal and again, no where to sit. The pick up area is small and just a giant traffic jam. The rest of Reagan is much better. But flying in and out of Terminal 1 is a challenge.

The shuttle was a fun experience. The vehicles looked like from action movie. In the main terminal, baggage claim area was huge. Our luggages were sitting in the carousel by the time we arrived. For ground transportation, the airport has separated out Uber pick ups, parking lots, buses and rental car shuttles. It was convenient. We didn't see a whole lot of traffic. The rental car lots are about 5 minutes bus ride away.

I have Global Entry and TSA Precheck so the process was much easier and faster. However, there was no signage where to exit. I found somebody to ask and directed me to the right direction. Then, I encountered 2 separate lines: connecting flights on the left and exit on the right and I was told to go to the right which didn't make sense since I need to catch my connecting flight but CBP agent told me I need to exit and go through security again and get to terminal B. So, why the signage? It's either no signage or if they do have signage, it's wrong. I made it to security before heading to the domestic terminals. The touchless TSA Precheck was closed off so I went to regular Precheck. I told the TSA agent I had touchless Precheck and he told me "next time go to touchless Precheck!" I asked him if he has seen anybody in line for touchless Precheck, no, because it's roped off meaning it's closed! He then drops my passport and boarding pass. There are moving walkways to expedite hopping from terminal E to B. However, people were blocking the walkway and not moving! If you're standing, stay on the right and let people that are walking pass on the left! It just seemed like everyone's first day on earth. The restrooms aren't the best nor the cleanest. They don't have good options for lounges so I skipped that and went to eat at two airport restaurants. They do have a nice selection of restaurants.

This terminal was very small, cramped and chaotic…read more I walked here from the metro and it's a bit of a hike from the metro stop from Terminal 2 to Terminal 1 - probably a 10 minute walk. I'm pretty fast and fit and I was sweating! Not a lot in the way of food - I ate at the only "real" restaurant here, Reservoir, which was French and expensive but, pretty good. It's a nice place to hang out with charging ports while you wait bc, once you leave, there isn't really anywhere to relax or sit by the gate. Small shopping tunnel as you walk to the "gate" area with a large bar and it was pandemonium. Loud, crowded and bumping into people, not enough seating for the amount of people, etc. Something I havent' seen at an airport before... that's for sure. Not comfortable but it's a well-oiled machine cranking out the boarding and flights. The spherical shape the Southwest flights leave from at gates A1-A8 or so was extremely cramped, loud, and chaotic as about 3 flights were boarding and lining up back to back - the lines overlapped with other gates and boarding and the agents were calling over one another with directions. Our gate agent was a pro - fast and efficient boarding and we were ready to hit the road. Very friendly and easy boarding experience. I can't believe I have not reviewed Reagan National Airport yet…read more Reagan is a national airport only and it employs friendly, local staff. It is located in Arlington, VA and this is as close to Washington, DC proper as you're gonna get with an airport. This airport has grown and expanded over the years and was once a very small, one terminal airport, but that was before the Reagan years aka his name was added to it. The airport is very easy to navigate, due to its smaller size, and they are still upgrading - I mean does it ever really end lol. You can easily access the airport by car, uber/taxi and or metro, which is a huge plus for both local peeps and out-of-towners. All the necessities are here from travel shops to souvenirs to food & drink. Restrooms are modern with all automatic amenities and they are kept very clean. Welcome to DC and we hope you enjoy your stay in our Nation's lovely Capital because we're happy you're here. Cheers!

They are open until 7pm most weekdays, so if you want service...make sure you get here before 7pm. We arrived at 6:45 and a staff member with a golf kart met us (after calling them on the radio), showed us to our parking spot, pushed the plane back AND tied it down for us while getting our luggage to the gate. It was incredible. The FBO staff were super helpful in giving me the number to a few mechanics (spark plugs needed cleaning) on the field and even offered us some water. Parking is $15/day, but they were incredibly sweet to waive our fees for the entire 3 days with a top off. Usually they only waive one day with a 20 gallon purchase, but they were super nice to us! Getting to DC from this airport isn't too bad. You can take a Lyft/Uber directly to DC for about $40-45 (about a 35minute ride) or take a bus/taxi/Uber to the train station ($~10-15 for the taxi) and then take the train into DC($5). All in all, until I get the FRZ requirements out of the way to fly into College Park, I'll be sure to return to Montgomery if going to DC. They provided amazing service. There is also a diner right at the airport with has decent lunch and you can watch the planes taking off as you eat. Seems like a lot of locals go there.

He always mentioned he wanted to get his flying license one day, so it was a good gift. I'm so rad. It was cold as a witch's teat and the winds were high. Our instructor was super affable and knowledgeable too. I had my camera ready and was set to snap pictures from the ground when the instructor asked me if I'd like to fly along. I was scared, to be honest, since Welshie was manning the plane, but the instructor has full control as well. It was a stomach-dropping, squeal-inducing, 20-minute flight and it was quite freeing. I did think I was going to die, though. Our instructor even said that the winds were so bad that he was going to cancel the rest of his lessons. Nice. Overall, it's a great little airpark and learning to fly is awesome. It's not cheap if you want to get your license--you're probably looking at about $10K when it's all said and done. I highly recommend trying it out at least once, though.

Airport - the DCA…read more I've connected through here a few times and for my last visit, I actually had this as a destination / departure airport. Getting out of this airport was relatively easy: plenty of signs pointed the way to the rental car shuttles and I was on my way in a jiff. For the return you really notice that this place has been around for a long time based on the architecture. Rental car drop was a snap and the shuttles get you to the terminals in short order. I loved the bronze statue of Ronald Reagan that is standing out front of Terminal 1 (old terminal) and the adjacent Terminal 2 appears to be the more modern add-on to the original airport. TSA and security lines went smoothly and I had plenty of time to kill so walked around and noticed the abundance of shops and places to eat. Restrooms were very clean and well lit. Just a very good experience both coming and going.

There is also a Marc train station, and public transportation options in addition to ride share services. They have plenty of food and shopping options available. They are currently undergoing a renovation which will provide better luggage retrieval and more food options. This airport is not too big and also not too small, the perfect size to sprint to the last gate and hopefully, lol, make your flight when you're short on time. All in all, this a perfect airport for me and meets most of my flying needs, especially domestically.

It is a very fun experience to run next to jets and with helicopters flying over you. The airport features a small but excellent museum dedicated to Manassas residents who served the US Military. It is completely free and made up of local donations. I was surprised by how many artifacts they had. Anyways it's a great way to spend an hour or so. 5 stars

The airport has two runways, 3700' & 5700' long with a newly renovated Air Traffic Control Tower. Since 2009, MRA receives international (private) flights, slated as a customs landing rights airport. MRA also houses Aviation Adventures, a flight school. On site, is the Freedom Museum showcasing & honoring those who served in the military with sharing their history & heritage. Free admissions, donations appreciated. MRA is the largest regional airport in VA (other airports - Leesburg, Warrenton-Fauquier & Stafford) & is roughly 30 miles out from DC.
