This company is now owned by Evernest. Stay FAR away from them. They've managed 2 of my properties for the past 3 years, and by my best estimate, I'll have lost about $13K because of them. The first $10K was because they let some lady with apparently high credit score and rental history rent the place. She ended up not paying rent for 6 months and then when she left, she stole my refrigerator, stove, and oven. I hired a lawyer and a private investigator. The lawyer and the PI determined she used a false identity. The PI told me that she used the identification information of a Hispanic male! That tells you how inattentive Metroplex (now Evernest) is. They just accept what the tenant tells them without verifying. So I not only incurred lost rent and extensive damages to a brand new home, but I also had to pay for a lawyers and a PI. All unnecessary and all because of this company's incompetence. The next $3K is happening now. I have a pending vacancy in a property and I have been emailing for weeks asking why it hasn't been listed and not getting responses. I tried calling the # on their website and it goes to a dead line. Everytime I call an employee directly, it goes straight to voicemail without even ringing. I finally found out yesterday that they now have a policy of not marketing the property until it is vacant and repaired. Really? So I have to lose money just so things can be convenient for you? They also couldn't list it anyways because they don't have non-watermarked photos to use. Really? After 3 years? They also said that if the home needed minimal repairs, they would need 2 weeks to fix. 2 weeks? That's unacceptable. That's because they want to do it in house and I have to get in line so they can profit off of the repairs. just imagine if it needs more than minimal repairs. I have just yanked the business from them and shifted over to Cole Property Management Services. Cole is going to start marketing right away, while the existing tenant is still there. That's how it should be done, with MY best interests in mind. Now I'm going to have all sorts of vacancy and lost money because of these guy's incompetence. I don't know how they put their pants on in the morning without struggling. I am so disgusted and upset that I can't see straight. read more

If I could give negative stars, I would. I rented a house managed by metroplex Mgmt for 2 years. I never had one decent interaction with them. The first time I went to the office to get my keys and give deposit money etc, the overall perception I got was that i was just inconveniencing them simply by being there. They were rude, short, and dismissive. You know what they say about first impressions. Secondly, ANY time I had any type of maintenance request it was absolutely beyond awful trying to talk to anyone about it. I had several instances where I needed maintenance done on something broken, like a toilet, and they'd tell me nobody could get out for like 3-4 days. Well shit, I can fix it myself then. One of the internal towers in my toilets stopped working. I knew that was only about a $15 part from Home Depot and a pretty simple fix. So, I fixed it myself. The next month, I had an extra $92 charge on my rent payment! They charged me because I fixed the toilet myself. I tried to argue it, but they wouldn't take the charge off. Example number two- I got home one day and My garage wouldn't open. It was working fine when I had left the house earlier, so I wasn't sure what had happened. I had the security lock on the front door so I couldn't get in from the outside. It was about 5-530pm. I called metroplex, assuming they had a spare key, because it seems prudent to keep a spare key to all your properties....anyway, she basically told me they don't have a spare key and sorry about my luck I'll need to call a locksmith and the charge is on me, they aren't responsible. So, the house (garage) is malfunctioning and somehow it's my responsibility? Isn't that one of the perks to renting? So I had to pay $150 to have someone come out and open my garage door so that I could GET INTO MY HOUSE ....and fix The door. Turns out, the door itself had come disconnected from the mechanism that grabs the door and pulls it open. That seems to me an inherent problem with the house that should NOT be my financial responsibility. Did I ever see that money refunded to me? Absolutely not. Over the course of the two years I rented that house, I asked them a few times to reach out to the owners to ask them various things like, if they'd be willing to renew my lease early, and even once if they'd ask the owners if they'd consider selling the property to me at the end of my lease term. They said "Well they bought that house as an investment so I don't know if they'd be open to selling." Metroplex was insanely slow to respond to me in general, and I'd typically have to follow up myself to get any response. Long story short, I felt they were useless. I found a way to reach out and communicate with the owners directly and offered to purchase the property and surprise, they accepted! Fast forward to Oct. 2021 and we have closed and the house is officially mine. I had a few interactions with the previous owner during the buying process, and he told me he also didn't have a good experience with metroplex as of the last few years and that he has several properties through them. He said metroplex wouldn't let him communicate with the tenants directly, and he felt like there were so many occasions where it would've been easier to communicate with them himself. He also told me they absolutely had a spare key to the house, which really pisses me off given all the trouble I went to when they told me they didn't have a spare key, which at the time I felt like was a crock of shit anyway, but the previous owner confirmed that for me. I'm so beyond glad to own my house and never have to deal with them again. Don't rent a house via them! read more

Steve and his team did a great job of managing our property and taking care of any issues that came up from our tenants. DO NOT RENT 5800 Pearl Oyster Ln Fort Worth TX 76179. This property management nor the landlord seem to like it when tenants know their rights. I discovered bugs at the time I suspected termites and sent in a maintenance request with termites in the subject along with pictures which they responded by saying it was our responsibility as tenants to take care of the issue. I decided that something wasn't right so decided to consult with an attorney on what my rights are as a tenant and wrote them again in which Suzanne was very rude and completely disregarded that a request was made. Also forget having any access to the amenities a pool card was never given multiple requests were made. Once we moved out they decided to take out fees that should not have been such as cleaning fees when I spent days cleaning the home, along with changing the locks which under Texas tenant laws it only falls on the tenant if they made such a request which we did not the only thing that was not replaced were a couple lightbulbs that went out and the carpets were not cleaned but that shouldn't cost $600 they took from our security deposit luckily I did take pictures and videos when we moved out and will be once again consulting with an attorney to get this resolved since this property management is not very honest. If you do rent from this company I HIGHLY RECOMMEND you have an attorney that you can consult with. read more

We were the first to apply for a rental property before even touring it thinking our chances would be greater in obtaining this property but was told we had ro view it first. We set up a virtual tour and was told that many more applicants were also considering this property, its seems like an unfair competition for one property to be told that many people apply for 1 property at 50$ per person that sounds like a fraudulent scam for money and to be told sorry the owners did not accept your application....SCAM!!!! read more

Great job managing properties for me over the last 10 years. Made having 2 rent homes an easy process. A broken water heater always seems to happen on a Friday afternoon as I am trying to leave town. TERRIBLE! Rude, and completely unreliable employees (owners mostly). Just not a good fit for me. I hired them to manage a property and they basically lied, had work repaired without approval. When it was questioned, they got completely defensive and didn't take responsibility for their WRONG actions, so they were FIRED. They may be great for some people, just a horrible fit for myself. They threatened me and said they recorded phone coversations. BEWARE of these people or anyone associated with them! This is a TRUE and honest rating, thank you! Update - the guy Steve was addressed with the issue and honestly continued believing his own lies. Best is to walk away. I did file a claim with BBB but for what horrible service, liars, cheats, ? Rented a home managed by Metroplex Management for 3 years. Interactions with the staff during the rental period had been professional, including true refunding of pet deposits after the death of two pets, but following the termination of our lease, professionalism and customer service were no longer a priority. We had decided to move out of state, and I notified Alyssa of our new address while speaking to her over the phone regarding end of lease requirements. At no time did she inform me of the management company's policy of the need to submit the forwarding address in writing. Following the phone call, Alyssa emailed me a detailed "move out" checklist, but again, no mention of the need to notify in writing the forwarding address. The day we left our rental house, I dropped off the keys placing it into the hand of Alyssa, again she failed to inform me of the need to submit our change of address in writing. She did tell me that she was sad to see us go, and that we were "good renters." That same day, I emailed her photos of the house to time stamp the condition on our departure. Alyssa acknowledged receipt of the photos, and again failed to notify me of the need to submit my new address information in writing. After being in our new residence in another state, my husband contacted Alyssa about the refund of our security deposit. Alyssa had informed him the check had been sent to our previous address, the rental. Unfortunately, Alyssa and others at the management company were condescending to my husband when he asked why the check was sent to our old address. His call was passed back and forth between employees eventually being disconnected, and the unprofessional treatment worsened when he called back. I was shocked how quickly they became unprofessional when questioned about our refund status and check location. Although it was ultimately our responsibility to submit our change of address in writing per the management company's policy, I feel the unprofessional behavior of the staff, and the numerous missed opportunities to provide quality customer service warrants the review provided. read more

Property owners BEWARE!!! Metroplex Management will utilize a third party management software where they send your rent proceeds and rely on them to deliver the funds to your account. If they don't arrive in your account they will tell you it is your responsibility to recover the funds. This happened to me. Please share with all your friends in the rental business. read more

I am what you would call an accidental landlord. I received an unexpected job transfer in 2007 to the DC area right as housing prices were crashing. We listed our home for three months with not even a nibble. My Realtor recommended Metroplex to us and we're so glad she did! They eased our worries and leased our home in six days. Suzanne was great to work with and took the time with us explaining everything and answering all our questions. We get a call or email about every repair, and are glad to know our home is being taken care of when we can't be there. The reason for four stars instead of five, is that they don't sell, they only do leasing and management. We were thinking of selling, but now may just let them lease it for seven more years! read more

Metroplex Management does not manage the property they charge for. Most all issues had to be resolved by the homeowner. They charge you the management fee but prior to the contract expiring they send you a letter stating they will charge $300 additional dollars to manage the deposit return and inspection of home. I would never recommend this place not even if they paid a referral fee. Stay Away from this place. read more

They tried to make us pay for a service call that was requested by them, for a problem that existed prior to me moving into one of their properties!!! As a home owner my home was not managed appropriately. It started off bad with my second tenant who was allowed to leave his belongings in my garage without my knowledge and without a lease until the property was turned over between Tennant's, ( Free Storage). When I asked Alyssa about it. I was told they are my representatives. On more than one occasion I had to call the office to ask if the tenant had paid rent, because I did not receive payment. They didn't notify me. And he hadn't.( Why did I have to call them? Shouldn't they have called me?). I had to ask for an eviction to be placed the second time. I also had to inform them of the dog that the tenant had, that was not on the lease. It ended up costing me over 5,000 dollars to repair my 5 year old home. A risk that is taken as a Landlord. But won't be taken with this company again. (MM)- No need for you to respond. It can't be fixed. They waited until my current tenants moved out to even start advertising they property was coming up for rent. Almost every month some type of repair was suddenly needed on a house that was only a few years old. No itemized detail of work done an most of the time overly expensive.
