I have lived in 1566 Vyse Avenue for 24 years. This is the only home that my sons and I know. I have seen the downs in the building for so long stemming from management to the constant changes of supers and porters. What I am pleased to see now is a better tomorrow for all of the residents in my building. Metropolitan Properties Services is with no doubt the BEST management company that we have ever had thus far. Ms. Rainel McKev has provided exceptional customer service to me on several occasions. She actually answers the phone with such a pleasant demeanor. I can tell that she is very passionate about resolving tenant issues almost immediately. Furthermore, the property manager coordinator Ms. Stefani Wheeler and the property manager Linda Mojica are GEMS in my eyes. I recently had an oven problem as to when every time I turn it on we smelled gas and it would never heat up. Would you believe I placed a call after 4pm to management and they answered took down the severity of my stove issue and literally within minutes the property manager was knocking on my door. I was so shocked and impressed to say the least. Just to know that she took the time out of busy work schedule to come to my home and see about the gas situation and ask if my sons and I were okay just warmed my heart it really did. These are the type of work ethnics that Metropolitan Properties Services install in all of their employees that needs to be glorified to show that they CARE. My building is clean! The porter Roman, such a sweet young man is here every morning at 7am sweeping, mopping, and removing garbage as needed. I have seen a tremendous turn around and I must admit at first I was a bit hesitate getting to know this new management company thinking to myself here we go again and they won't be here for long. I went to the Metropolitan office upset. I received my monthly invoice which showed a balance I did not understand. The receptionist; Koral Torres, helped me right away. She logged into my account and in a polite/professional manner, explained the details of the invoice. I was very upset when I walked in and Koral never lost her cool. She even helped me get my own login credentials for their website so I could pay online or just look things up. I am giving them 5 stars and maybe an extra star for Koral. Metropolitan Property Services recently took over the management of my building. Today I had a back up in my tub. I called them and got an immediate response from the Property Coordinator. Within the hour an arrangement was made to have the back up cleared. I even received a follow-up call to make sure the work was complete. It was a nice change from the old firm. I have tried to reach this office several times with no reply , twice by e-mail and twice I had left a voice message on their answering machine . I try to call again over this past weekend and finally I was able to get someone on the phone a Mr.Vazquez . This gentleman was kind enough to hear me out and help me as well . Metropolitan Properties Services has been great to work with. Whenever I have had difficulties in my unit, they have been tended to rapidly and without issue. The administration is exceptionally occupied, however, they generally hit me up about any inquiries or concerns rapidly and deal with any requirements we have had. They are even open to useful analysis and are taking a shot at improving what they are doing and their practices constantly. I disclosed to them something with respect to the gardening and they took my remarks, reached the landscaping department and made the fundamental changes to improve our living space and brought all the more light into my apartment. Over the years management by this company has gone from disaster to outright seventh circle on Dante(read the book, seriously). For no other reason than being tenants. Our daughter has been exposed to feces, sounds of rats running in the hollow walls of the building, literally falling asleep to them screaming as they run, water bugs and bed bugs. The only reason why we remained was the neighborhood. But poor management ruined even that. There are constant drug addicts and drug dealers in the building at most evening, smoking pot and doing drugs. So the area and building itself have become so unsafe that we decided to call it quits and will be looking for another place to call home. read more

Well, I have had the good fortune of having very great experiences with Metropolitan Property Services. Whenever I call the management office with any issues, it is resolved fairly quickly. Just as in this case with registering for the resident portal, I did originally reach out to the concierge plus email which is at the bottom of the resident portal page but they redirected me to contact the management office. So yesterday I spoke with Samantha who was very nice and was able to resolve my issue with registration to the resident portal. Metropolitan Properties Services give quality and polished skills! Since they assumed control over the administration of our structure you can see they truly care about what they do. It looks incredible and they have been extremely useful and receptive to any inquiries or solicitations that I have made. Everybody is extremely kind and responsive. I have a sense of security and agreeable. The main thing I wish we had would be to access to at any rate two parking spaces since road stopping isn't well disposed or perfect. I had a pest control issue recently that no matter my own efforts would not go away. I contacted MPS for help on getting an exterminator, expecting things to take awhile since many in the city are used to not having things done quickly. However the coordinator I worked with, Celia Scardino, was wonderful. They were courteous, empathetic and professional and were a great asset to helping me get my problem solved in a timely manner. The tactics include general nastiness, threats for court, and if you are stabilized they will look for any way to milk you, either via preferential rents that get taken away asap, or to harass you out of the building so that they can charge higher rents. So the first time I called the office it wasn't too helpful , I needed help but was kinda dismissed quickly and not sure who I spoke to . I decided to give it one more shot and boy I'm happy I did . I own a multifamily apartment complex (22 doors). My prior management company dropped the ball several times. I was fed up and trying to manage the thing on my own. Never a good idea.
