Almost every time I go to any airport, I hold my breath, clench my fists, and pray to the TSA gods that I won't encounter rudeness and long lines. During my recent trip flying out of DCA back to California, I got my wish! I will note that I did leave early in the AM, but in past trips and conversations with other flyers they noted that TSA/Security at DCA goes by more smoothly than other airports one may frequent. The employees were kind and courteous. Didn't mind or look at me funny when I asked to get my instax camera and film hand-checked and even with the lines, it didn't feel like a total pain (because, hellooooo kindness goes a long way). Not sure if it's worth mentioning, but I was flying with Southwest Airlines! Just in case that matters and you want to know what TSA Checkpoint you're likely going to be near. Sadly, I don't recall the other airlines that are near this checkpoint as well. But overall, I am digging you TSA Checkpoint Concourse A.
