For an airport, DCA is refreshingly clean and organized, something you immediately notice as soon as you step inside. All of the public spaces were spotless, and restrooms in particular were well-kept, which always sets a good tone for any trip. Getting around was straightforward. Signage is clear and made it easy for a first-time visitor like me to find everything. Gates, baggage claim, and especially ground transportation. The layout feels compact compared to other large airports, which keeps walking times short and manageable. I was especially impressed with how quick and easy it was to find a rideshare/Uber pickup spot. There were clear signs from the terminal leading you directly to the designated rideshare area, and I didn't have to wait long at all for my driver. The convenience really saved me after a long day of travel and helped me get on with my day seamlessly. Security lines moved faster than expected. Even during what seemed like a busy time, TSA staff worked efficiently, and the process felt organized. I appreciated the friendly attitude of the staff, which put me at ease even as a first-timer. For food and amenities, options seemed solid, with a variety of quick bites and coffee spots available both before and after security. Plenty of seating and charging stations, too. I was pleasantly surprised by how stress-free my first trip through DCA was. Clean, efficient, and very user-friendly.

This airport is very clean, always has great hallway/ terminal views, plenty of restaurants, coffee shops, and novelty items for sale, and more. Although this location is 1+ hours from where I reside, I never mind going the extra distance for a great experience for less moohlah.

It is located in Arlington, VA and this is as close to Washington, DC proper as you're gonna get with an airport. This airport has grown and expanded over the years and was once a very small, one terminal airport, but that was before the Reagan years aka his name was added to it. The airport is very easy to navigate, due to its smaller size, and they are still upgrading - I mean does it ever really end lol. You can easily access the airport by car, uber/taxi and or metro, which is a huge plus for both local peeps and out-of-towners. All the necessities are here from travel shops to souvenirs to food & drink. Restrooms are modern with all automatic amenities and they are kept very clean. I'm 55 years old and I travel 5-10 weekends in most years. I can say without a doubt that Kemar made me the best sandwich that I've ever had in an airport. The taste, texture and quantity of ingredients was tremendous. I even went back for another one 5 days later when I was flying through this airport again. WOW! Expectations were totally shattered.

My only wish is for more seating options. There aren't enough seats to accommodate the customers awaiting their flight. And overall, an easy travel experience outside of when there a plane delays. Since we are usually flying into DC as opposed to out, it's easy to access all the major points so long as traffic isn't bad or during rush hour. From the terminals, you can see the U.S. Capital and the Washington Monument looking firm and erect, erect and firm. And if you want to access DC via the metro, there is a station right there to take you into town within 10 to 15 minutes. Arlington is right there as is the Pentagon. One of the better airports in the country.
