The location, atmosphere, and service were great overall. My wife and I were craving chilaquiles, so we decided to order them. My wife loves spicy food, while I can handle it to a degree--but these chilaquiles were *spicy*, even for someone with an average tolerance. My wife powered through her plate because she has a higher tolerance, but I couldn't finish mine. I would give 4 stars however they have a bad habit of not looking at online orders very well. They get so busy, which is a good thing, but don't give you the extras that you for. I've ordered their well know taco 290 a couple of times adding an extra egg and twice now and only given one egg rather than two. Food is always good and fresh. Wait time is getting longer. I thought with the new added space ordering would go quicker. Two weeks ago I ordered in restaurant and stood in line for 15 minutes and took another 20 minutes before I got my food. All was a to go order. This week I decided to order on line and miss the long order line. I ordered at 8:17am and was given a 15 minute ready time. After I completed order and PAID, after 5 minutes I was sent a text telling me my order would not be ready until 9:10am. One of the better Mexican breakfast spots in the area, and by area I mean all of Katy/Cypress west of the beltway and all the way down to 10. I Mean it. It's so hard to find decent Mex breakfast places that do homemade corn and flower tortillas (even if they're machine made there still homemade) and also hard to find good barbacoa for a decent ish price. Good job Mex Taco House. My only complaint and their only problem that I see which is a good problem is that their dining area is small so if you come on the weekend you'll be waiting for a table.
