The tostada: Me personally I think they went a little heavy on the guac, it was hard to taste everything else because it overpowered the dish. I would get the guac on the side. it was still pretty tasty. El Pastor tacos: also they kind of gave you not that much meat. the meat was good but if you asked for cilantro and onions just know that they're going to put a lot!!!!!! even though it's supposed to just be a light garnish on there for a slight bit of texture and flavor, but no they douse mine with cilantro and onions so much so all I can taste is onions in my mouth after and could barely taste the meat. Barbacoa taco With guac and runny egg: The Barbacoa was the best because it was tender and juicy and they did not skimp on the meat. The egg was perfectly runny and they didn't overdo it with the guac. The only thing that I would change about that is ask for extra cheese. Breakfast potatoes: The breakfast potatoes were the best thing to me so far. I asked for a side of them but I didn't get a picture of them because they brought it out at the very end. But they were already cooked and they could've came out first but I think they forgot. Overall the atmosphere is very busy like a cafeteria setting so if you get overstimulated by being too close to people you might want to get your food to go. Overall the customer service was all right there was only one person that could really understand me. This place is like a slightly more affordable, slightly less delicious Chilosos, and that's just fine. Chilosos got too cocky about their menu and pricing anyways. The Spanish rice is SUPER garlicky which I love (just like I make it at home), the lunch plates come with a decent amount of food, which is important for a big guy like me. It's a little cramped, but cozy. This isn't a place you're going for a nice sit down meal anyways. You get your grub, eat, and get on with your day. read more

We tried the barbacoa and the potato egg and cheese tacos (others at the table had the Taco 290 and the barbacoa with fried egg and I had FOMO). The barbacoa was very flavorful and moist and the potato and egg taco was well-executed. I also ordered their large iced coffee, which was comically large it could have served two people easily. I love gorditas, and am always looking to compare others to those I was able to get in small town in west Texas. While this place has some decent food customer service lacks. Good customer service goes a long way with the experience. Placed an order on a Saturday. They weren't really that busy but maybe they were rushing to close. At any rate whatever the issue was I showed after 15-20 min after the order was placed like they told me to only to have them tell me they don't have my order aka lost my order. That was frustrating considering I had somewhere across town I had to be. Though these things happen occasionally and are a terrible customer experience I realize they do happen. It doesn't help. To help accommodate when you drop the ball don't just say "Sorry, we will make it now.". Offer to at least comp the meal some way. Even if it's a drink. It's good table side manner. This is what separates an "okay" restaurants from a great place to choose. Service matters more. PS. They didn't even try to speed up the process as I had to wait another 15-20 min and then go take my fussy toddler out of the car who was with my wife trying to keep him distracted. read more

I actually like the breakfast tacos pretty well, but I have to give a poor review because I called this morning and the girl that answered said, "Can I put you on hold for just a second?" She didn't actually put me on hold; just laid the phone down and then never came back. For over 20 minutes I could hear them laughing, greeting new customers...I listened as I realized I would not be able to order any food from them; listened all the way through the McDonald's drive-thru, and then all the way to my school. First of all you have to order a barbocoa taco on maiz with the cilantro and cebollo it literally tastes like my moms. Brought a nostalgic tear to my eye. The service was great.
