Big Ol' chicken Burrito that'll be dinner too

Parking is perfect. Restaurant dining room is bright clean and well designed- apps, mains and all sooo fresh and the burritos are HUGE. Do the plantain app as well. Staff are friendly and accommodated a small group off the street. Will be back.

It's been a couple of years since my last visit. I definitely love that they have gluten free options and have a great variety of burritos. I do, however, think that it's a bit pricey. When you order a burrito, be careful because it's not actually a burrito unless you add a shell for an additional cost. That goes for all shells, not just gluten free. Otherwise you get a "naked burrito" which doesn't seem like a burrito if you ask me. We almost made that mistake and would have been upset. Overall, the burrito is a decent size but gets pricey once you add the shell. Also the flavors are just okay. Definitely would have enjoyed the flavors being kicked up a notch. Plus my burrito fell apart so it was a big mess. Overall, not bad but not my favorite.

This was the first time in years since we've been there. It was a pleasant experience. Our server Elena was knowledgeable and charming. We asked about the spiciness of the enchilada rojo and she brought us a sample of it and the sauce. Who does that anymore? We had that and the skirt steak - medium rare. That can be difficult because it's so thin to begin with, but it was perfectly cooked. The margaritas were also very well balanced. Looks like we found another Mexican restaurant on or near route 9.

Went on a Wednesday with some friends, they felt rushed by the server. Food quality was not as good as before. Server graciously took my plate and my friend's since we were finished but offered the dessert menu while my fiancé and other friend was still eating. Table was clean but the menu NEEDS some cleaning, it was very sticky and disgusting for all 4 of us.

Went here for the first time last night in light of MARGARITA MONDAY!! Came an hr before closing (yes- I felt a bit bad lol) but the friendly waiter (idk his name he has gages!) immediately sat us down and served us GINORMOUS MARGS. Ceviche was good however I personally disliked the tomato base to it my boyfriend however loved it more than classic ceviche. I ordered a raw ahi tuna taco (SO BOMB) & he ordered his fav (he's been here before) a shrimp & steak burrito that was so big! The marg was a bit too sweet for me but he loved mine more than his so that was good.

Is this a fast food restaurant?

In New Paltz their location is more of a takeout restaurant, but the one in Wappingers is a nice sit down restaurant.

It's just hard to get a good photograph because the lighting is constantly changing. Ivan has been our server a few times already. Today was a rough afternoon for him. He was the only one on, and the way it looked. You would think there were no other restaurants in the area. It was busy! But, being the professional is; he handled it very well. The menu and photographs are on a tablet. Pick out what you like and it comes to the table, it will look exactly like it does in the photograph. The food is very well seasoned, it's not excessively piquant nor spicy. You can taste the main ingredients. Plating is done aesthetically. Portions are more than ample. The dinner plates are imported and made in Mexico. Nice touch. On several occasions, I've seen families there with three generations, enjoying their meal. It's family friendly. Fortaleza has an App and a customer loyalty program. There is a spacious private parking lot in front, and the parking is free.

Really glad we tried Loco Garibaldi, as opposed to some of the other restaurants on Main St. it's a small place, maybe 6 tables and one on the sidewalk. The menu is on a tablet, there's a QR menu as well. I couldn't help but overhear a conversation the owner was having with another customer; he started as a dishwasher in another restaurant and worked his way up to where he could open his own place. The food was well prepared and not overly spicy. The rice was fresh and the beans complimented the rest of the meal. Tried the chicken enchiladas in green sauce. Inside the tortillas it was filled with shredded white meat chicken. The entree was excellent. Instead of a beer I tried the Jamaica water. I've had it in Mexico, where it's a refreshing change. It comes in a pitcher, be prepared it's enough for 3 people. Not expensive, nor pretentious. There's limited street parking. I will come back.

What a Disappointment!!! The whole experience was a crying…read moreshame! Not only for us, and the other customers, but for the owners as well. Made a reservation for 7:30 PM. We received an email, that they would be doing a soft opening November 1st. We were really looking forward to a Spanish meal! When we arrived, the place was packed! Usually, a positive sign. Apparently, we weren't the only ones, that received the E-mail. We let the bartender know that we had a reservation, the answer was pretty much; see if you can find a seat. First off - they should change the name from Flores Tapas to Flores - burger and taco shack. Based on the "new" menu. It's very sad - because it's neither "fish nor fowl". Is it Mexican street food or a burger joint? It takes forever for the food to come out of a totally confused kitchen and even though there are numbers on the table, they don't know where to bring it. It's the fault of the "21st century"ordering system they are employing. IT is totally "Fakakta"!! Theoretically, the order goes from your phone to the kitchen, where they process it and prepare your food, then the runner brings it to your table. The reality is disappointingly different. You're better off, sitting at the bar; getting blitzed and watching TV. The fast food gets there sooner! You can do that at home and not have to worry about driving home drunk. Sadly, they spent a small fortune on theme glasses, seat back covers that look like Santa's hat, and specialty merchandise. See photos. I have a feeling, that a lot of the people that were there tonight. Sitting around at the tables, waiting for their food, that took over an hour to arrive won't be back! Especially a lot of the senior citizens or anyone over 30 years old that wondered what was going on? It was suggested; that as a Tapas restaurant they couldn't survive. Wappingers isn't ready for them. However, there are dozens of Mexican taco places within a few miles and burger joints to choose from. Let's hope they fair well.

We made a reservation for two but waited 10 minutes with no one greeting or seating us, so we eventually seated ourselves at the bar. It took another 20 minutes for the overburdened bartender to take our order. The food was underwhelming, and while the cocktails were tasty, they were far too small for the price. That said, the staff--though clearly short-staffed and overwhelmed--were friendly and genuinely doing their best. Unfortunately, the lack of adequate staffing and organization made the experience fall flat.

But if you go further to the back, you'll find an awesome window were you see a griddle and a counter full of delicious looking taco ingredients. All the hand written signs are in Spanish. Not a word of English spoken. This is Mexican food for the Mexican population of Wappinger Falls. Tacos, on a corn tortilla, with meat, onions and cilantro. Finally, proper tacos for my Mexican food deprived mouth. I had just eaten dinner, but decided on a taco con carnitas y un taco con chorizo. Jesus, it was almost as if I was back in Highland Park, Los Angeles. Moist, fall apart in your mouth carnitas. No weird, hard chunks of gristle. A perfect balance between fat and meat. The chorizo was pretty standard for LA, nothing too exciting, but spicy and pretty goddamn epic for this side of the country. The salsa roja was smokey, spicy and delicious. Damn. I'm still thinking about these tacos. For me, they lack some crucial elements: no carne asada, no al pastor and no radishes served with the tacos. But they serve lengua. And have awesome salsa. And it's authentic, which means a lot to me for tacos in upstate New York. So yeah, if I lived near here I'd become a fat mess REAL quick because these tacos can complete with LA. Seriously.
