Love this place for tapas. Best food drinks and service. Staff is friendly. Biggest tip is to get the churros for dessert, you won't regret it. During the winter, they have Miracle Christmas pop up with Christmas themed drinks. What a Disappointment!!! The whole experience was a crying shame! Not only for us, and the other customers, but for the owners as well. Made a reservation for 7:30 PM. We received an email, that they would be doing a soft opening November 1st. We were really looking forward to a Spanish meal! When we arrived, the place was packed! Usually, a positive sign. Apparently, we weren't the only ones, that received the E-mail. We let the bartender know that we had a reservation, the answer was pretty much; see if you can find a seat. First off - they should change the name from Flores Tapas to Flores - burger and taco shack. Based on the "new" menu. It's very sad - because it's neither "fish nor fowl". Is it Mexican street food or a burger joint? It takes forever for the food to come out of a totally confused kitchen and even though there are numbers on the table, they don't know where to bring it. It's the fault of the "21st century"ordering system they are employing. IT is totally "Fakakta"!! Theoretically, the order goes from your phone to the kitchen, where they process it and prepare your food, then the runner brings it to your table. The reality is disappointingly different. You're better off, sitting at the bar; getting blitzed and watching TV. The fast food gets there sooner! You can do that at home and not have to worry about driving home drunk. Sadly, they spent a small fortune on theme glasses, seat back covers that look like Santa's hat, and specialty merchandise. See photos. I have a feeling, that a lot of the people that were there tonight. Sitting around at the tables, waiting for their food, that took over an hour to arrive won't be back! Flores Restaurant and Bar has potential, but our experience during the holiday pop-up was disappointing. We made a reservation for two but waited 10 minutes with no one greeting or seating us, so we eventually seated ourselves at the bar. It took another 20 minutes for the overburdened bartender to take our order. The food was underwhelming, and while the cocktails were tasty, they were far too small for the price. That said, the staff--though clearly short-staffed and overwhelmed--were friendly and genuinely doing their best. I came here on a Tuesday night with my hubby and brother for happy hour since it was my birthday. We intended to grab a few cocktails and tapas and maybe entrees depending on how hungry we were. We started off with some cocktails while we decided what we wanted to order. We had previously had some menu items from Flores that we enjoyed, which is why we came in. I was intrigued by the chef's menu options. The menu, however, was unclear and did not list what tapas were included in either option and how many plates? (the classics and the Flores experience). The prices on the menu were not self-explanatory either. We thought since it says "minimum of 2 guests to order" for either option, that the price was for 2 or more people due to the wording. ($72 for the Flores experience). Please see the photo of the menu attached for reference, regarding which part I was unclear about. I wasn't sure what the experience entailed and figured it was priced for the group, so I asked Danielle if the Flores experience would be enough for our table of 3? She said yes, but at this point, it would have been helpful if she told us the price on the menu was not for the table, but per person as it makes a significant difference. We interpreted it otherwise since the menu lacked any information (which I wonder if that is intentional). If I knew the price was per person, I certainly wouldn't have even bothered to ask if it would be enough for the table because $72 per person is not cheap, so of course it would be enough for the whole table! To our surprise, when we got the bill, it was indeed charged price per person, so around $72 per person, which we were just not expecting. Aside from the chicken paella, we had gotten a few plates of tapas and the churros. If these were all ordered separately for the table instead of as the chef menu experience, we would have never spent $215 on what we received. It would have been significantly less, which really disappoints me because it feels like a rip off. There's really no reason they should be charging that much for what they are offering. If I wanted to spend that much, I would have gone somewhere upscale, so it just doesn't make sense to me at all... As an example, even Fogo De Chao (an upscale Brazilian Steakhouse) would have been less for the Churrasco experience ($65), and has so much more included in the price (Market Table & Feijoada Bar, continuous tableside service of signature cuts of fire roasted meat), plus it's a fancy Brazilian Steakhouse in White Plains... When an upscale Brazilian Steakhouse in White Plains is charging less than a tapas bar in a strip mall in Wappingers... you know something is wrong! We did enjoy the food and had a fun time throughout the night. The bill at the end was just unexpected.. I want to know what I'm being charged beforehand, so if it's not obvious from the menu, I think that is a problem for customers. Be more specific to avoid customers feeling deceived. If I knew what was included from the start in said "Flores Experience" I would not have ordered it and would have ordered other plates from the menu instead. read more

Feed a soul, fill a heart! This restaurant does do what is mentioned at the bar. Every food item was soo good and it only goes better as your course proceeds. They don't have a 5-10 page elaborate menu but whatever they have is prepared it's excellent. For tapas, we tried 1. Pan Con Aguacate - good 2. Tostones - excellent! I can eat this with every meal 3. Cheese plate - everything on the cheese plate was so good! I am going to get this packed this summer so I can enjoy it with some good wine in the park. 4. Awesome experience! I will definitely be back! I had 4 tapas orders: chorizo in wine; muscles and chorizo, meat and cheese board and espinacas. All amazing!!! For my main I ordered carne guisada. As far as I'm concerned, you can never have enough Tapas bars in the area, especially if they also offer paella, and I'm glad to have visited Flores. I certainly plan on coming back and exploring more of the menu. I'm going to come across as occasionally picky here, but there's nothing on the menu that I tried that I wouldn't re-order, and any comments are directed at making already good items very good or excellent. If you're coming on a weeknight, you should try to get there before 6pm, to take advantage of the happy hour rates - discounted drinks, and a selection of the tapas are half-price, which is a very good deal. We started with sangria, in this case a rose sangria, because that's less common. Theirs has a strawberry flavor, probably infused with a strawberry liqueur or syrup, and it's very refreshing. A pitcher will fill 5-6 glasses. For plates, we enjoyed the Jamon Serrano (great portions) and Gambas Al Ajillo (you get 7, so prepare to fight over that 7th one). We also had the Chicken Croquetas (6), good, but it felt like they should have been accompanied by some type of sauce. We're paella people, so an order was required. Their Seafood Paella changes nightly based on available seafood. Tonight they were out of mussels, and we're not big on either octopus or monkfish, so we instead had the Chicken & Chorizo Paella. The chorizo was the best part of it, flavorful and crisp. The paella is prepared in the serving dish (a plus), however it's "juicy," due to being cooked in some broth, and it wasn't served with short-grain/bomba rice - still very enjoyable. Dessert was Churros With Ice Cream, both of which are homemade. The coffee we ordered probably came out too quickly, making it very easy for it to be finished or cool by the time the churros came out. This dessert is fantastic. One of the churros offerings - I can't remember if it's this one or the one with Nutella, is on the happy hour menu. So you may want to arrive extra early to get this one at the discount, or maybe have dessert first? read more

All of the food was so yummy. I really enjoyed my time here. The small plates or tapas, were the perfect amount to share with someone. My husband and I stopped here on a Saturday late afternoon. We didnt need a reservation, we sat at the bar and enjoyed the World Cup soccer game. The staff was friendly and was able to recommend a good drink. All of the food came out with time the perfect time between each one. The drinks were perfectly strong & delicious. I would have preferred the churro dessert to have a side of Nutella, to dip in, instead of the Nutella stuffed - but still delicious! Valentines Day decided to have a late lunch early dinner before the dinner crowd. Our waitress was super nice, helpful and friendly. Food was way overpriced. We ordered a appetizer, and a Sangria together w 2 entrees. It was $28 for a skirt steak w some roasted peppers. You're going to love this place! Love the cool decor, modern and very clean! Hey, we here for the food, but what a nice surprise. Our first goal is to find good cocktails and they delivered. When James brought them over he notes that he made them with love!!! So we absolutely loved the drinks and fell in love with James!! So many great flavors in the food. We ordered the shrimp, spinach, seafood paella, tuna ceviche and the pan con tomato. We then finished with the churros with Nutella and ice cream! Everything was on point and we loved that they actually had seasoned the food with salt. ( I hate when there is no salt on the table and no salt on the food) The grilled bread was a great start, but be careful not to eat it all before you can use it to finish the shrimp and spinach dishes! The flavors and texture of the shrimp was unforgettable and I will definitely try to up my shrimp game at home because of this dish. Also, we cook spinach at home all the time. The additions of the raisins, pine nuts and green apple... game changer! The churros with ice cream and Nutella ( yes, we got both) was so good. The churros were warm and tender with a great crunch. The homemade ice cream was fantastic. They had a peppermint hot chocolate with marshmallows. So good. Every bit as good as the food was the team of people at the restaurant. James took care of our table and was such a sweet guy with a huge passion for the entire culinary experience and passion for the Flores family. Glasses of wine were soon joined by a delicious order of mussels and chorizo. These were soon followed by an overdressed salad featuring strawberries, goat cheese and spinach. Those were soon followed by additional glasses of wine and a single serving portion of seafood paella. The paella could have used more seafood and less broth, but it was tasty though hardly authenic. We visited the first night of soft opening. We tried to come early figuring it wouldn't be too crowded and a bit safer to eat inside. It's a pretty tiny spot, so if you are uncomfortable with indoor dining at this point it might be best to do take out. Staff was wearing masks, but I thought it was odd that they weren't spacing out people enough and using the space to keep parties away from each other as best they could. They could have done a better job spreading guests out and not having them all clustered in the same small area. Really liked the decor and the way they've decorated the place. Bar area has an especially cool vibe. Our server Gabby was delightful, informative and attentive. However I feel we got a bit suckered into a $7 bottle of water. The way the question was presented to us about water we thought we were ordering plain tap water. We were looking intently at the menu when she came to pour the water and when I realized she placed a bottle on the table after filling our glasses, we realized what just happened and by then it was too late. I wasn't happy especially for $7 I would've at least ordered fancy carbonated water - but I generally don't buy bottled water as I'd prefer to spend my money on cocktails and wine Our bad for not paying closer attention I guess, but their bad for charging $7 for a bottle of water. That certainly won't happen to us again. I loved the 3 house made sangria options - White red and rose. I chose red and it was strong and delicious. My husband had a white French Chardonnay which he loved. We shared olives, patatas bravas and shishito peppers. Overall the food was very good, but I thought it was a tad overpriced. The olives were a very generous portion but swimming in oil and a bit bland, Couldn't detect the citrus zest mentioned on the menu. Patatas bravas flavor of the sauce and garlic aioli was amazing, but shaped like fries and a bit softer than I'm used too. But really addictive to eat! The peppers were cooked perfectly but again lacking a bit of flavor- salt would have been perfect. I was a bit surprised to see that all desserts are $12, including flan. That's nuts. i'd round up to 3.5 stars if I could. We will try them again for snacks and a drink - perfect spot for that! My husband and I dined here last night with some friends. The atmosphere is very warm and inviting. All tables are separated by clear partitions and there is hand sanitizer available as you walk in. All servers wear masks and they are doing a fabulous job at adhering to COVID protocols. There was a group of us so I got to try many of the items on the menu. My husband & I shared a pitcher of red Sangria to start. It was the perfect balance of alcohol & fruitiness and the pitcher was pretty large that we each got 3 glasses out of it, easily. The tuna ceviche is a must try. It was so flavorful and the citrus was spot on. I loved the avocado accompaniment. My friend ordered the octopus (pulpo a la Pancha). I never in a million years thought I would try octopus, but I went for it and was pleasantly surprised. It has a great flavor and texture. I would definitely consider ordering that next time. Flores food truck is known for their empanadas so of course I had to get those. The ones on the menu are brisket empanadas and they were AMAZING! I also got to try the Shishito Peppers. The portion was generous for a tapas. Apparently 1 in 7 peppers is a spicy one so it was a fun game at the table to see who was gonna get that one. I got 4. LOL. There are main dishes also if you're looking for a more substantial meal, although I was pretty full from the Tapas I ordered. My husband got the steak with chimichurri sauce. It was cooked perfectly medium rare. The Paella is a must try. The portion is very generous, just take note it takes about 30-40 min for that one but is totally worth the wait. I was reccomnded to try this place by my friend Zander and I ended up staying for a long time. This restaurant is new so give the staff a chance to figure it out, but the food is really good and they have a more than decent wine list. They have some really nice Rosès like Pigudet and H&B as well as a great local Sauv blanc from Fjord. My favorite food options were the Chorizo and the Seafood Paella. Both were amazing and good sized portions. Don't sleep on the homemade ice cream. My favorite was the apple pie with real chunks of Apple. I really wish I was able to give a better review, but I also need to be honest. This review is based on a few visits. I will absolutely go back for drinks. They are delicious, unique, and worth the trip! The food doesn't do it for me. I leave reviews that often nitpick, and these are just my preferences, but these are details that make or break it for me. I wish the octopus was paired with something other than purple mashed potatoes. It doesn't make sense to me. Charred octopus goes great with a hash-y vegetable, olives, artichokes, etc. something oily or briney, not a purée. Again, it's minor details like that. The cheese plate is basic. I feel like they could do so much more with the menu. Underwhelmed is the best description. The people are so nice!! And so is the restaurant itself. I noticed they have a bar menu.. not sure if that's new or if I just didn't see it before. The options look good. To repeat, the cocktails are excellent!! Love, Love, LOVE this place!! I first came here with friends on a late night. We ordered a bunch of different small plates to share, all of which were amazing and full of flavor. I came a second time because I had to have my other two friends try this place and they loved it. They still talk about it to this day. I also took my boyfriend here and he enjoyed it as well. A Diamond in the Rough in Wappingers Falls, N.Y (Hudson Valley) A taste of Spain. My family and I were moving our daughter into a new apartment for the upcoming school year. We called and made a reservation with David for 7:30 p.m. We arrived at a very lovely restaurant with quiet Spanish music playing in the background. David sat us and was extremely welcoming. We ordered some drinks and appetizers. We had an Olive plate, Charcuterie Board, Bacon wrapped Dates and Mussels. EVERY DISH WAS SUPERB. David was gracious enough to alert us to the time it took to prepare Paella, but instead we had their Specials, Smoked Capon and Filet Minion with Chimichurri Sauce. All the dishes were amazing. We were too stuffed for dessert, but they had a lovely variety to choose from. My recommendation is, go now. This restaurant is a Gem. read more

Briyah, our waitress, was so patient with my inquisitive friend who wanted to try something new but didn't want to be disappointed. (Success!) Briyah was very helpful and attentive to us. The second time around, there was no flavor whatsoever. The paella had no flavor whatsoever; completely bland and pale. The rice was very undercooked and crunchy. The churrasco was requested medium rare and was cooked well done. The chimichurri was flavorless and just didn't taste good. Service was great; if not for our server, this would have been a 1 star.
