Everything is seasoned perfectly with just the right amount of heat and spice. The menudo is always incredibly flavorful, and the tamales are outstanding soft, moist, and delicious, with the perfect meat to masa ratio. They're also very generous with the meat, which I really appreciate. The service is another thing that makes this place special. The staff is always friendly and efficient, keeping the line moving without ever making mistakes on orders a rare thing these days. You can feel how much pride they take in their work. On top of that, the restaurant is family-owned and has been passed down to the kids, which gives it an even more authentic, homey feel. One of my favorite things about this place is the ambiance. It feels like a time capsule that hasn't changed much since it first opened, and that's a good thing. The quality of the food has stayed just as consistent over the years, and that's what keeps me coming back every time I'm home.

The sausage and brisket were cooked well, the brisket could have possibly done with a little longer cook as it was still slightly chewy but the big one for me was they both needed a healthy dose of seasoning, especially the brisket. The service was good, my server did a great job and was polite, friendly and professional. The restaurant itself has music playing and there are a lot of pictures and stuff on the walls.
