Just ordered the Super Nachos for the first time today, and I'm so glad I did! They were really good and perfectly proportioned. There was literally toppings on every bite and so tasty. I called in our order to be picked up and brought home. It was done in 15 mins right when I got there and it was still hot and ready to eat when I got home. My go to are the Beef Flautas that come with rice and beans. They are seasoned really well and always come with a generous amount of guacamole to dip if that's your thing. There is always chips and salsa included in the bag and hot sauce. Love the salsa, so fresh and great with the flautas too! The hot sauce is pretty hot so go easy unless you're a hot sauce master. Been wanting to try this joint out. Went inside and it's really cute and well decorated but we decided to do take out and bring back to our house with better views of the lake. Ordered the Guacamole. Gross. Someone else mentioned they use shredded lettuce as filler instead of enough avocado. Totally bad. Then we had the chicken enchiladas mole and beef chimichanga. Both very bland and meats kinda dry. The yellow rice wasn't bad but Overcooked and mushy. Total bill of $36 seemed ok and I'd really love more good food options in the area but I prob won't be back here unless they step up their game. read more

This is our place to go for Mexican food. Another great place to visit in Greenwood Lake. They have treated us with such warmth that our Mr. daughter complains if we don't go there often. Mexicanzingo is a family run Mexican restaurant with lots of heart and warmth. The meals are delicious and Carlos and Luis make you feel like a part of the family! I order a Taco salad with steak. Most Mexican restaurants have them on their menu. At Mexicanzingo they include mushrooms and because I ask for no cilantro, I get a tailor made Taco salad that is delicious and unique! My friends and family always enjoy their meals and look forward to the guacamole and chips/beans. West Milford, Warwick, Monroe and Greenwood Lake are lucky to have Mexicanzingo in our backyard and that Carlos and Luis work so hard to keep Mexicanzingo open seven days a week! read more

I ordered this food while in Warwick through Grubhub. I have to say the food was quite delicious. The guacamole was pretty fresh, the salsa was very good. I ordered a spicy pork taco thought it was really good for the price I think it was only three bucks. I had a burrito definitely a big portion, I could barely eat the whole thing. Had the super nachos which were delicious but you might wanna heat them up because they don't come crispy. Overall my entire party was very pleased with their food. read more

Ooooohhh man. Greenwood Lake doesn't deserve tacos this good. Easily the best value in town, possibly the best meal altogether. I get from here at least once a week and it's always stellar. The Al Pastor is easily the best thing on the menu, but the carnitas and the bistec are also great. Really good Enchiladas, Chile Rellenos, chimichangas, and guacamole (although they put iceberg lettuce in it, which is kind of weird but inoffensive). Both their red and green sauces are delicious (they usually only serve the green with enchiladas, but I ask for it with everything), as well as their salsa. The only thing I've had here that I wasn't crazy about was the mole, but honestly the tacos are SO good that I'm hard pressed to ever not get them. My hubby found this place. We didn't have high expectations since it's very hard to find good Mexican restaurant but we decide to give it a try. When we walked in,the place felt simple and somewhat Mexican not much decor. The greeter/ waiter was pleasant and attentive to our needs. He brought chips and salsa without asking, which it's always nice. Salsa was good. We order tacos and we were very impressed. They were good!!!! I also order the mole enchiladas (they were good) and my hubby order the carne asada meal, he was satisfied. I would of given five stars but not to sound cheap the tacos are a little pricey ($2.50) Overall we are happy we found this spot. We will definitely come back and we will recommend. read more

We were looking forward to bringing friends back for some good Mexican food. We told them about the cozy outdoor seating and showed them the menu. We were ready! Got there and found out no more outdoor seating. Inside only 3 tables. Two were filled the 4 of us sat down at the third table. We waited...and waited...and watched all the take out orders come and go. Finally the young man took our order. We overheard one of the tables mention they'd waited an hour for their food. Nah! Not possible. We sat with our chips and guacamole and soon realized, yup an hour had gone by with no food. It was now 9:15. We called the server over and asked for the check telling him it was now too late to eat and we couldn't wait any longer. Without any apologies from the server or the owner, we were handed a $12 check for our guacamole and 1 soda. Really? That's how you do business? You'll do it without us! If you can't service the dining room because you are giving preference to take out orders, then close down the dining room. read more

I ate here recently. I ordered the taco, burrito and chimichanga combo. It included rice, a small amount of guacamole and beans. I really do not know what "authentic" mexican food tastes like as I have never been to Mexico nor was I ever told I ate authentic mexican food. I thought the taco could have used more vegetables. I thought the food was a bit bland overall, but it was good. The rice was average, the salsa with chips were very good. The guacamole was excellent. This place is good, not great, however I will probably be back to try something different on the menu. It is good to see a mexican restaurant in the neighborhood again, but If I were the owner I would get rid of the banner in front of the window. It looks like you are hiding something and I know the back of the soda refrigerator is there but they should get blinds or shades. The dining room window needs to be unblocked by the blanket or whatever is in front of it. It should be opened up so diners can see outside and passers-by can see inside. They need to show drivers going by that they are there and draw their eyes to the place. A few tables outside on a nice day would not hurt either, Just my opinion. read more

I wanted to be supportive of this place, but I wasn't impressed with the food on my first visit. I ordered my favorite dish, enchiladas with red sauce. In most Mexican restaurants, the red sauce is a spicy dark red sauce with great flavor. Here, it was a sweet sauce, closer to the type you find in a Chinese restaurant (sweet and sour chicken sauce). Way too sweet, unnecessarily sweet. The rice is good, but nothing about it made me want to come back. That being said, I'm glad other people do like it, as we needed a Mexican place in town. read more
