This is not your average Mexican restaurant! It has more of an elevated feel with traditional Mexican, Tex-mex, and custom dishes. Upon entering I was impressed with the clean, modern, colorful, and tastefully decorated decor. There were also ample seating options from a large bar to a half wall decided double seating area. There even appeared to be a side room for parties. We came for my cousin's birthday. She made reservations for 15 an hour before arriving and we were seated within 10 minutes of arriving. Service in the beginning was quite quick when it came to getting a server and ordering drinks. I had a virgin Piña Cola which was really good and creamy. It reminded me of a coconut snocone with coconut cream! Also loved the toasted coconut garnish for a little razzle dazzle. We were also quickly served chips with 3 salsas: red, green, and bean. All were very good but I was drawn to the green which was sweet with a bit of heat! I had a hard time choosing my entree. Everything sounded good and looked amazing as it came out to other tables! The presentation of every item was A+. I decided to get the habanero cream enchiladas with cilantro rice and charro beans based on the recommendation of a couple at the table. I was very impressed by the flavor and it was exactly as the menu described...habanero minus the heat (there was his a hint of heat). In fact everything was very flavorful from the beans, to the rice, the chicken within the enchiladas, and the cream sauce! The dish was also very hearty and enough for 2 meals. Can't wait for my next visit to try one of the other delicious looking dish I saw people at our table and other tables order! Oh! Birthdays here are a big deal! We probably heard 10 birthdays while we were there including our own birthday girl. They come with a loud procession, a big hat, and a dessert! read more

Stopped by here during a long road trip. Just picked this place out since it was in the area. The interior is very regular and kind of old. We ordered the steak street tacos and steak tampiquena to go. They forgot our napkins, utensils, and tortillas so had to turn back around for them. Overall, the service was very nice and quick. The food was delicious and steak was nicely seasoned and soft too. Not tough at all. The steak tacos are big too. Not the teeny ones you usually get. The green "hot" sauce was so plain and mild. I wish it had more spice. The chili lime rice was ok. Didn't taste much of the chili lime. read more

The Food and Service at this restaurant were really very very good! Although the ladies restrooms were in need of some updating, they were clean, which is always important! My daughter and I will definitely go again. Next time, I'll have a margarita! read more

I want to say this is an amazing restaurant. The food is the best you will ever eat. The corn chips are home made the sauces are delicious. They even give you bean dip that is wow. The food we had chili relleno and carnitas left no room for amazing taste. The service is nothing but wonderful. The staff are so friendly and take such good care of you. Food, Service and cleanliness was all spot on. Our waiter was very attentive, but not hovering. We got the Molcajete to share and had leftovers. Food was okay-ish, service was great. Let me start this off, I know this is the same owners as Nogal and I really don't like Nogal but was really hoping for something better/different. The salsa here is good it's not spicy but it's not bad. They also give you bean dip and we really enjoyed that. We also ordered the 2 for 1 margaritas and those were really good but be careful if you're a lightweight. I ordered the chimmicurri carne asada and it was actually REALLY good but was a little salty. My son ordered the chicken flautas. I tasted them and they had very little taste, overall really bland. Our server had it switched out for ground meat tacos and those were much better. My husband got the steak quesadillas and those were also nothing special. Would we go again? Maybe. But this building has changed hands so many times, it's getting old and in need of updates inside.
