This is a great spot for all you meat needs. It's super clean and good quality meat. I rate the overall store a 3 because the produce is more expensive than in other local stores and it runs out by the pm. You have to go early to get more produce options and variety. They also have a great variety of alcoholic beverages. This is a great store to find new and rare tequilas or Mexican imported bottles. I also noticed they have 2 water refill stations inside, which is great because they are not as common as they used to be. My parents like to use the refill stations here and the water is very good. I do find the employees aren't super friendly but it doesn't bother me too much. read more

Absolutely horrible service at the meat counter,waited nearly 10 minutes so I could buy a few things and was not acknowledged once by the staff. I truly don't understand their logic of not acknowledging their customers. Waited a little longer to no avail and wasn't able to get any service. I put my basket down and just left. Overall a great neighborhood market. The meat is fresh, they have several butchers behind the counter during peak times to handle the crowd, they always have a few checkers when needed, and a free pack of tortillas with a $25 meat purchase! The produce selection is decent and always fresh too. Not to mention the parking lot vendors, the lovely parking lot vendors! What has happened to you Mexico Super, I've been shopping here since a little girl recently visited and it was very sad to see your shelves empty couldn't even find anything I used to get from here. Your meat sorry but it's quality has gone terribly downhill and this happened first. With this I also notice a new cashier that seriously hates her job not sure why she's there keeps a straight face at all times if you have a question such as can I get cash back gets bothered and barely gives you an answer and because of her strong accent I asked to repeat which was followed by a eye roll. A Mexican market is always so convenient to be near where you live! They have a good selection of produce and other grocery needs when I need it for a good decent price. Located in south Hayward on Mission Blvd. I have been here a handful of times. They have plenty of parking as well. I do wish they offered more prepared meats and condiments like other grocery markets. I would love to make quick picnic meals for the park to BBQ! Who doesn't love making or eating tacos homemade with the works?! The staff has always been friendly and helpful. They do want you to make a purchase of more than $10 to avoid any card fees but I have gotten away with it a few times! There are 2 tamale ladies out front. One sells meat tamales and the other sells sweet corn tamales and atole (mex drink). It's all delish and super cheap! This is the store where we purchase our meat when we're going to have bbq's. Their "Arrachera" meat is always good quality. Customer service is meh. read more

Can be a little bit pricey. Hate that the butchers in the meat sections DO NOT wear food gloves when handling raw meat. They grab the meat with their bare hands when putting in a plastic bag to weigh; bringing cross contamination to the meat they're selling. On a positive note, theft do sell alike of my favorite food brands and the produce price is reasonable. They give you free tortillas or soft drinks when buying 20 dollars of meat or more. read more

Just left the store it makes me so sad to go into a Mexican store to see all my people not caring about distancing and the employees the same. The cashier is more worried about gossip then her job. She was gossiping with a customer who only had her mask on her mouth and she said nothing to her. The store is dirty, full of flies and their meat is old. I LOVE this place. Dirt cheap quality items. WAAAAAAAY cheaper than Safeway or Luckys. I go here at least once a week. For all you whiteys out there, the cashiers do speak english, as well as some of the butchers. They are all very friendly and helpful. Don't be scared!!!! I love the meat counter, the pollo marinado and the puerco adobado are DELICIOUS, and I use these specific items for a few of my recipes. Fruits and veggies prices are good. But other items like canned goods are a bit higher. But that's expected for a mom and pop store. Cashiers are polite. The butcher has great fresh meats, i even ordered a whole pig for a big party. They always have carnitas, fresh quesos and tamales. The meat counter is tip-top and very, very clean and all the guys are polite. Chorizo the best. Very good prices on produce-they carry Peri Bros. white onions and they are great. Prices are I guess reasonable, meat always looks fresh and the carnitas are good. Also convenient to have a guy that cleans and repairs jewelry in side the store. The only bad thing about this place is the customer service the ladies at the check out stands need to know how to appreciate their customers and greet them with at least a hello and a thank you or one of the two but to totally ignore you as your waiting to pay, its just wrong, don't even want to bother to tell you what your total is they just expect you to look up on the cash register and pay what you owe. If it was only a one time thing I would of taken it as her having a bad day at that particular time, but its been several occasions now and it is why I decided to write this review and take my business else where. read more

I used to come here with my mom a lot growing up. They have a decent selection of fresh produce and groceries. The carniceria (meat dept) is really good and affordable. Their meats are fresh and affordable, even more so than Mi Pueblo. My only gripe about Mexico Super is their pandulce selection. It's small and often not fresh - sometimes there's flies in the cases. :( read more

The marinated meats here are delicious!! I agree that the marinated chicken and arrachera are very good. The salsa they have at the meat counter is super spicy. You get a choice of drink if you spend over a certain amount. Good place to pick up some meat for the grill. read more

I have lived and frequented Fairway Park for 24 years and I am not big on yelp but the last few visits I had at Mexico Super were the worst. Today I go to the market once again I am extremely disappointed.......I was accompanied with my husband, sister and her husband I was in the meat department and as usual I ask for the marinated steak chopped up, but this time he they wouldn't. The man proceeded to tell me they never do. We went back and forth about how it has never been a issue in the past. Finally I gave up due to the rude comments made about me in Spanish in side conversation. I will drive five minutes to Chavez super market with no problem knowing I will receive the same service regardless my company. read more
