Had a nice lunch here this past week. Classic Mexican decor and art all around the dining area. The service was good. They brought out chips and salsa right away. Salsa had a nice sweet flavor to it - not too spicy. I always benchmark these places on their chimichanga. I'll say, their chimichanga is a contender for best I've had. I've been passing this restaurant on Route 34 for over a month and this was the first time I gave it a shot. It's really nice to have a Mexican restaurant in the area! I so wanted to give the restaurant 4 stars but just couldn't as I will explain. Louis was our sever and he did an amazing job! He was helpful and very attentive on a busy Friday night. My husband and I both ordered the Fajitas Vallarta and substituted the chicken for steak. The fajitas were really good and I even wound up taking a portion home! This dish comes with the typical peppers and onions, cheese, and also chorizo which gives it a nice kick. My main reason for not giving a 4 star is the restaurant's ventilation. The whole place was cloudy from all the fajita smoke. It remained that way the whole time we were there and kept getting worse. Now that it's the next day, I really feel it in my lungs. Honestly if you are ordering from Uber eats, it's not worth it. I feel it would've been a different experience if it was actually inside the restaurant. First time here. Food was good. Both entrees were seafood combo. Enchiladas and chimichanga. Pleasantly pleased they used real crab in the seafood filling. Service was efficient and pleasant. The food was just a little better than Taco Bell but a whole more expensive. I ordered a pick up and when I got there and waited 25 minutes I was told everything was ready except a burrito, turns out they gave it to another customer and had me wait while they got that one back. Of course I didn't know this until the guy came back and the girl behind the counter took it out of his bag and put it mine. Needless to say I told them they should have made me a new one. Went here for my fourth visit, while the first two were very good although service was slow the third visit was ok not great but our fourth visit was terrible, had the fajita for two it came with only 3 tortillas really? Amazing Mexican food, quick service and lots of indoor seating. Was pretty loud inside, music could've been quieter so we could talk without feeling like we were trying to speak over the music, but food was so delicious we didn't have much conversation by the time it came out. I love this restaurant! The carne burrito is wonderful. The pork is so tender and the citrus marinade is perfect. The refried beans are are creamy and delicious and the rice is the perfect compliment. My boyfriend loves the Pollo Ranchero. We can't seem to order anything thing else because we are in love with our current entrees lol. The decor is fabulous Mexican, straight out of Guadalajara. Good experience! We didn't realize it was BYO but luckily there is a liquor store next door. Both of our meals were good and the interior was very cute. Went here for dinner, the staff was very friendly. I ordered tostadas and was expecting three of them to come out but it was something completely different which was fine. It was a big circular crunchy disc with chicken, lettuce tomatoes sour cream onions and cheese on top. I thought it would be shredded chicken but it was just regular grilled chicken. So my wife had Carne Asada and I had marinated grilled skirt steak. Both steaks were "tender like a babies foot". No steak sauce was needed as both were "bathing" in their own juices. For desert we shared Homemade flan. So sweet and delicious. They have a help wanted sign hanging on the door so service was somewhat slow. We will be back however. read more

Definitely come here hungry because the portions are huge. Even the kids meal was larger than expected. There was a good number of selections...I settled for the steak enchiladas...not bad at all. To cap it off, we did try three desserts: Cheesesteak Burritos a la mode, Flaming Bananas and the Churros. All three were delicious. Please note that this is also a BYOB. So happy to update my review! We returned to this restaurant 2 years later. Tables were spaced out nicely to maintain social distancing. The service was fabulous. We had Julia as our server and she was amazing! We were pleasantly surprised to see that the ventilation system was fixed. It was no longer stinky and Smokey in there from fajitas. Also... they got new salsa!!! It was great!! Not like the ketchup salsa they had when they first opened. Our meals were fabulous and there was plenty for our young kids to choose from and they even offer milkshakes. Overall we had a great experience. Great job working out the kinks Mexitacos!! I've gone to a few of the mexican restaurants around the area, and this one is for sure my favorite. I ordered some pork tostadas, and a mix of 3 tacos. While we weren't a fan of the salmon tacos, the carnitas were delicious! The salsa verde is so good, perfect consistency and flavor. It's located very close to home so we don't have to travel to Red Bank for good Mexican. Very authentic. They're servers are always friendly and provide excellent service. My wife had the steak chimichanga and she love it. She normally doesn't order this kind of dish. I'm glad she did because I ate the leftovers the next day. I had the burrito Martinero, a seafood burrito grilled and stuffed with fresh scallops, shrimp, etc. and so cheesy. Absolutely delicious! Can't wait to go back. Maybe this Saturday! Huge portions, crazy good quality and so tasty, well priced. First off let me start off and say that the food here is exceptional. We have been here many times and the food is always good. The one star is for the service. It is downright awful. 5 of us went tonight for dinner. We stood in the doorway for 10 minutes until i had to go up to someone and ask to be seated. We waited another 10 minutes for the table. I finally had to go to the front and ask for a waiter to take our order. The waiter came eight after and had a very bad attitude. He told us it was really busy and that we had to wait. As he took our order his attitude got worse and worse, like we were bothering him. That was all we could take. We got up mid-order and left. I would give it a 3.5 if I could. Good food. I usually get the chorizo tacos and add pineapple. They never give me a problem about modifying anything. You get chips and salsa right away, the waiter who we have had every time is very nice and friendly. I'm surprised you don't get any beans or rice with the tacos, but you can order on the side.
