There are a lot of different options, overwhelming for the indecisive. I highly recommend looking at the menu/ photos of some of their items before going, that way you aren't holding up the line or feeling rushed. There was always a line out the door at the times we had driven by at night. However, around 1pm, there was no line, so we decided to take advantage, It did seem like after 5pm the line was always out the door, however, it seemed to have moved pretty quickly. There were a few tables indoor and plenty of outdoor seating available. It was a great family atmosphere. There were a few arcade games to play if you had quarters or dollars, and there was a change machine that had accepted 1 and 5 dollar bills, but make sure you know what the machine takes, because after exchanging a dollar bill for quarters (thinking all the machines accepted coins) a machine required only dollar bills no coins. If coming back to myrtle beach in the future, we would probably return again. *Bonus*: There is an awesome candy store right across the parking lot, called Gretel's. read more

Great ice cream shop if your staying in Surfside. The menu is quite overwhelming. Theirs so many signs and it's all so colorful. I wanted a Banana split but didn't want a huge thing, they offer a smaller version of a banana split for $5.99. You could get 3 different scoops of ice cream. My family loves this ice cream place and a must visit every time we come to Myrtle Beach. My favorite thing is I'm dairy and gluten free and they have several great choices for dairy free. This premium ice cream shop was a highlight of my honeymoon to Myrtle Beach. My husband and I went twice. They serve gourmet Hershey's flavors (not the chocolate company, but the ice cream brand) in hand-dipped cones. They had at least a dozen cone dips - typical ones like sprinkles and exciting ones like fruity pebbles. On our first visit, we got waffle cones with a double scoop, as recommended by the scooper. That was WAY TOO MUCH. The cone was 8-9 inches tall, and then the scoops were on top! There was enough ice cream there to give everyone in South Carolina a bite. On the second trip, we got a single-scoop on a dipped sugar cone, which was much more reasonable (but honestly still a ton of ice cream). I tried the chocolate caramel ice cream the first time, and strawberry cheesecake the second. My husband loved the Rocky Road so much, he had it both times. All of the flavors were rich and decadent. The wait was really short both times, even though the line was out the door. There's no line definition, which is a little frustrating but not a big deal. The whole parlor is covered in plaques about ice cream and Yankees decor. Oh man, Meyer must LOVE the Yankees! A few people grumbled about this, which was hilarious to me. We took our 6 year old granddaughter to this horrible store for ice cream. First they were so locked down they had the store setup where you could not see the ice cream. Tables were all removed but they had benches in the room where you picked up your order. You could only sit or stand in that room if you were waiting on your order. When we finally got our ice cream they told us we had to leave. They said we have no inside eating. My wife asked are you throwing us out she just repeated what she said the first time.
