It's a very cute restaurant located right next to the theater in downtown. The menu is overall pretty simple, but I think they do classic American food pretty well. I really enjoyed the shrimp patty burger I got last time, which was a lot heftier than I expected! The meal probably won't be revolutionary, but a very solid spot for the area and very convenient if you're watching a movie before/after. Food came out relatively quick! We had a great time playing a game as we were eating and drinking. The drinks all had different flavors, and we're all very well blended and balanced for taste. The garlic dipping sauce that came along with the tallow fries was very addicting to eat (not usually fond of garlic) We finished everything we ordered. Overall the drinks complemented the food flavors very well. Kiera made sure we were good with our food and drinks, she was funny to talk to and made our first experience So much better. There is also the perennial complaint of cost - but a dinner for three that included two drinks, three appetizers (one of which was bread which at this price point should be complementary, and anther a tomato salad), and two entrees should not be $180. The steamed dumplings were reasonably tasty, but the wrapper was too thick and I question the addition of corn. The duck breast was generally under-seasoned and bland, and the skin had not been fully rendered out. The biggest disappointment was the tuna nori - the strongest flavor was an off putting fish taste. The accompanying rice (jasmine and not short grain?) and bok choy both tasted like they had been cooked in nothing but butter. The view is nice, but I don't plan on dining here often.

Friendly waitress answered our menu questions and took our order quickly. We had the bar pretzel, grilled chicken sandwich, the mushroom burger and Chocolate Chip Lava cake. Both exceeded our expectations. Chicken sandwich had two juicy, seasoned pieces of chicken with toppings. Salad was fresh and house dressing was great. The mushroom burger was juicy and flavorful. The lava cookie cake lacked the lava typically expected but was nonetheless delicious, definitely would order again. There were two seating areas and a large bar that accommodated everyone well. Noise level was good, restroom was spacious and clean. Definitely going back when I'm town!!!!

I reminisce arcade video games were always localized at shopping malls. Happy Valley Arcade Bar contains many games and snacks as well as alcohol and non-alcohol drinks are available. It does provide a temporary mental detox or mental phlegmatic disposition from life's stressors in a casual relaxed atmosphere without judgment and without pressure of looming deadline for quota. There is also a small photo booth which can only fit two people. It was impossible to cramp six adults in this miniscule booth. There is an outdoor patio for seating. KungFu Kickball I was on the red team to punch, kick and headbutt a ball into the opponent's bell and won against a good longtime male friend who was on the blue team. The final score 3-2. The Bee's Knees cocktail wasn't for me. It was way too sour. That said, I think that's more on me for ordering it than the drink itself since it's meant to have that flavor profile. The shrimp scampi was easily the best dish we ordered. So good. Make sure to dip the baguette into the buttery shrimp sauce. If you're sharing, I'd recommend ordering extra bread because you'll definitely want it. The garlic parmesan wings were excellent. We also tried the blackberry BBQ wings. I didn't really care for that flavor combination but I'm still glad I gave them a shot. Both flavors had big meaty wings that were cooked perfectly. The mac and cheese was really good. Definitely more of an elevated version with a lot going on. I enjoyed it but it was a little too fancy for the kiddo who prefers a simpler mac and cheese. The chicken tenders were very basic and the fries that came with them were pretty weak. We also ordered the garlic parmesan truffle fries which were much better than the regular fries, even if they weren't anything special. The lemonade was also too sour for my taste. We ended up adding sugar ourselves and after that it was much better. Overall, we had a good meal. The shrimp scampi and garlic parmesan wings were the clear standouts, service was friendly, and the atmosphere made for an enjoyable experience. They are not lying about the best tacos in town. Although the seating area is on the smaller side, it never felt cramped - it was the perfect spot to spend a few hours this rainy day. As a bonus, the bar tenders were super knowledgeable on the local beer scene. I really enjoyed hearing some of their stories on how certain breweries ended up on tap at Draught Industries. Hoping to be back again this summer/fall.

Beacon is a destination town for beer lovers. Between Industrial Arts (which brews some of my…read moreall-time favorite beers), Hudson Valley Brewery, Two Way, and a handful of others, you could spend a whole weekend here just brewery hopping. Draught Industries fits right into that scene. It's a spot run by people who clearly care about craft beer, with a long, rotating tap list and a laid-back, slightly quirky vibe. But what surprised me most was the food. I started with the pulled pork sandwich with ghost pepper aioli. The pork was tender and smoky, and the aioli brought real heat without drowning out the meat. If you like spice, get it. The real reason I'll be back, though, is the wild boar tacos. I love wild boar, and you almost never see it on a menu, so I ordered it the second I saw it. They come topped with guacamole, pineapple pico de gallo, and habanero peppers. The richness of the boar, the creamy guac, and the sweet pineapple against the habanero heat all worked together perfectly. Easily some of the best tacos I've had in the Hudson Valley. Great beer, bold food, and a menu willing to take chances. If you're doing a Beacon brewery crawl, make Draught Industries a stop. And come hungry.
