They charged everyone else 46-55$ for no chip manicures ! 3 separate ladies did my pedicure & the main lady who did the actual work commented on the fact that I had not shaved my legs (now we all know not to go to a pedi freshly shaved).. also if 3 people did my pedicure and the lady who did the nail trimming wasn't allowed to paint my nails or remove my gel it means she doesn't have a license, so they charged me top top dollar for someone who is not allowed to do my nails? Also when I got there they were all waiting at the window to see the car I arrived in... they will charge you more based off appearance at this salon.

A pedicure, a full set of sculpted acrylics with gel polish, and a Norvell Venetian spray tan (8 hour solution.) Pedicure: We started with the pedicure. She uses a disposable bag so the pedicure is sanitary. She also used a new disposable foot file, which was great! The pedicure is wonderful. She gives and excellent pedicure massage. She helped me pick my polish color and I love it! (Pictured) Manicure: I asked for a full set of acrylics and she did an amazing job creating sculpted acrylics and filed them down like a true artist. They look perfect! I chose "Strawberry Margarita" gel Polish so they will last longer. (Pictured) Spray tan: She took me to the back and explained to get undressed and hang my clothes on the back of the door. Then to put on a shower cap and sticky feet. She also had makeup wipes available. I waited in the tent and she came right in and explained the airbrush method. She did 2 thorough coats using Norvell Venetian 8 hour solution. I just rinsed off and my tan looks wonderful! Stephanie is extremely professional, personable, sweet and the quality of her work is top notch. She doesn't rush and it's a very private and relaxing experience. I highly recommend Onyx studio and I will be back for a fill, a pedicure and an airbrush tan for my next event.

As a nail tech myself I have pretty high expectations. Lee did a good job on my full set. He didn't just rip off my tips when removing, he took his time to soak them off although I don't really agree with the whole idea of soaking my fingers in a bowl of acetone, I would have preferred them wrapped with cotton, acetone and foil. I had a few nails on my right hand that were crooked and had some leftover gel under my nail but I just fixed it when I got home. My full set was thin and natural looking which was my ultimate main concern. I was pleasantly surprised. I am glad I didn't end up with lumpy, thick nails like I've seen from many other places. I painted them myself when I got home. The salon was clean. Some of the technicians and the owner greeted me. I'm just very glad they fit me in last minute because I know how it is on those long days.

She used the nail drill on my skin and cut me and made me bleed. Nails were done and I was satisfied. I woke up the next day and had a chip in my nail already. I went back the next day and she fixed it. Now, a day after that, another nail completely chipped. I've never had this happen and after spending over $100 plus tip, I will not be returning. *** edited*** Not even a week later and 2 more nails completely cracked. I have NEVER had this happen to me. What a complete waste of money and time.

I like to do walk-ins so I typically avoid Friday afternoons and the weekend. I aim for Mondays or Tuesday. There are two gentleman that typically work both afternoons and they are fantastic. I typically get a neutral color in either gel manicure or dip. They're not rushed and do a fantastic job for cleaning the cuticle area, taking the time to shape the nails and the polish itself. I'm there every two weeks and I'm happy with the service they provide.
