My car had to be towed in for the estimate. This was arranged quickly even though my insurance informed me there were delays with auto body work. Everyone from the phone calls to the reception area were extremely friendly. The tow driver gave me updates so that I didn't have to stay home for most of the day awaiting his arrival. They answered my questions without showing annoyance. Let me tell you, I can speak a bit too much at times so that's not an easy fete. The original intent was to look at a Colorado and possibly a Silverado. Chris G was our salesman. He set us up to drive the Colorado we came for. While it looked very good and drove well, it smelled from smoke, which is near impossible to eliminate in an 8 year old vehicle. Another Colorado was on our list but we never drove it because there was obvious rust in places it shouldn't have been. I suggested they look it over again before selling it. We were ready to leave, but Chris being the good salesman he is, asked if we'd like to take a look at the Tahoe that just came in. He said it was in incredible condition and a good deal price-wise. We agreed to take it for a ride and it didn't disappoint. Chris and the whole team at the dealership were very accommodating without being too pushy. The aftermarket warranty was very fairly priced and the whole financial closing was low pressure and quick. We definitely recommend purchasing from Terryville.

I was told the vehicle had been fully maintained and that significant money had already been spent addressing its maintenance and repairs. Unfortunately, my experience after the purchase was very different. Within the first month of ownership, I began hearing unusual noises coming from different areas of the vehicle. I discovered that the car needed substantial repairs, including motor mounts, a transmission mount, the full brake system, and two control arms. The transmission also requires service and fluid maintenance, which I have not yet completed. The timing was particularly frustrating because the dealership's warranty was only 30 days, and I began discovering these problems around day 28. When I contacted the dealership about having the issues addressed under the warranty, I was told that I would have to bring the vehicle back to their location. The dealership is approximately 72 miles away from me and roughly 3.5 hours of travel, making it extremely difficult to bring the vehicle back for repairs. What is most disappointing is that these were not issues that developed after years of ownership. I was already dealing with major mechanical problems almost immediately after purchasing the vehicle, despite being told that it had been properly maintained and that considerable money had been invested into getting it ready for sale. I have since had to spend significant money addressing these problems myself, after already paying the full purchase price in cash. I understand that buying a used vehicle comes with some risk and that no dealership can guarantee that a used car will never need repairs. However, the number and seriousness of the issues I encountered almost immediately after purchase, combined with what I was told about the vehicle's maintenance, left me extremely disappointed. I strongly recommend that anyone considering purchasing a vehicle from this dealership have an independent mechanic perform a thorough pre-purchase inspection and verify the vehicle's maintenance history before buying. This review reflects my personal experience with this purchase and the repairs I have had to deal with since taking ownership.
