I checked in here on Thursday to stay before an early morning flight Friday morning. I was disappointed with the long wait to get a room, I did appreciate being able to check in with the kiosk using just my ID. Cool feature to not wait in the ridiculous line. I checked in and didn't get a text with a room being ready for a little over 2 hours. The employees are your typical Vegas employees, customer service and friendliness is kind of non existent but that genuinely seems to be everywhere in Vegas. The room was really nice and clean, the bed was really comfortable and the AC worked great. As you can see in the pics, the rooms have been remodeled and I really love the touch of the lights under the bed. My only complaint is the sunshade on the window wouldn't roll up once it got halfway, which obstructed the view of the ugly construction site next door. The view of the stadium will be really cool though once it's completely built so it would have sucked if there was actually something cool to look at outside. The bathroom was huge, and the shower was probably one of the best hotel showers I've ever used! We had 3 of us staying in this room and didn't at all feel crammed even when 2 of us were trying to get ready in the bathroom at the same time. The location was perfect for us, I liked being right next to the food court on the strip and close to the target & in-n-out that recently opened. The hotel itself was a little underwhelming in comparison to New York New York right across the street, but at least if you want to go see a cool, fun hotel you can walk across the street. Would I stay here again? Probably. However, I typically travel with kids (one of them being young) so I think I might go for a hotel that has a little more fun things to offer and that's more visually appealing.

Finally got to the room at 6:45pm and at least the room seemed newly remodeled from what I remember the room looking like before. Bed was comfy, AC was working especially since it as 110 outside, bathroom very spacious. Casino was busy, lots of options for gambling and good variety of places to eat from nice restaurants to casual ones. Cocktail waitresses were few and far between and took forever. That's one way to make you keep gambling while waiting for your drink. Location is good since it's on the strip and walkable to many restaurants.
I've stayed at the MGM Grand several times and haven't had a bad experience. Especially since the price is usually within my budget. I was lucky to book a room for only $39/night. What a deal!! Except the resort fee kicks in at $50/night added on SMH. I remember the good ol days when resort fees weren't a thing! Nonetheless the price was still very reasonable for a 3 night stay during the weekday. I originally booked the studio room, but my friend decided to join me. I was able to upgrade for $13 more a night to the newly renovated King room and scored a strip view. Well some of the strip at least on the 19th floor. The room was pretty clean, except the shower wasn't as clean as it should have been. There's a mini bar and extra mini fridge to put your drinks in. Loved that addition! The room also includes a safe for personal items. The bed was pretty cozy and there wasn't too much noise from the floor we stayed on. Overall, a decent room to stay in. Parking was only $20 for my friend! I was expecting it to be $40 but it was a nice surprise that she only got charged for one day. What I love about this casino is the lazy river pool! One of the best in Vegas. I recommend you get there early. Like around 9:40am because the line starts to form around that time. The pool opens at 10am. There's a limited number of lounge chairs so it pays to get there early. Pro Tip: Bring your own inner tube and take it to the area where they sell them. They will blow it up for free! Much cheaper than buying one for $25 - $30. I also like the convenience of the monorail here. Buy a ticket online for only $13 and for 24 hours you can ride it up and down the strip to several locations. It stops as far as the Sahara and goes back to MGM. This will save your feet from walking miles and miles.
I stayed at the MGM Grand for a conference. It's the closest hotel to the airport, about 25 minutes by cab. It isn't as luxurious like Bellagio or Venetian. Get your MGM Rewards app before you arrive so you can skip the line and check in at the lobby kiosk. Room is comfortable, I don't like the no coffee machine policy in Las Vegas hotels. This one didn't have room slippers unlike the other hotels in Vegas I stayed at this month. The view from my room was not facing the strip but overlooking the back of the hotel Beds are comfortable and room amenities are standard. We ate at the conference and once had lunch at the Tom Colicchio's Craftsteak which was awesome. I don't understand why connecting the MGM Rewards to my Marriott Bonvoy is so complicated that I haven't figured it out yet.

It felt like a shopping mall, casino, hotel, and entertainment venue all wrapped into one. I spent the first part of my stay walking around like a kid in a candy store because I couldn't believe how much there was to see. In fact, if I had decided not to leave the hotel at all during my trip, I probably would've been perfectly happy. Between the restaurants, shopping, Starbucks, casino, pool, and everything else the property offers, there's more than enough to keep you entertained without ever stepping outside. My room was comfortable, clean, and had a beautiful view. Nothing overly extravagant, but it had everything I needed for a relaxing stay. One of my favorite parts of the trip was definitely the pool. Since my room wasn't ready when I arrived (which was understandable because I got there pretty early), I spent the afternoon poolside, and honestly, I couldn't think of a better way to wait. I also want to give a special shout-out to one of the pool servers--I believe her name was Micheline (I apologize if I'm misspelling it). She was incredibly kind, attentive, and patient with everyone, even though the pool area was very busy. Great customer service always stands out to me, and she made the experience even better. Naturally, I had to enjoy a few vacation drinks while I was there. I ordered a Blue Hawaiian, a Piña Colada, and a Miami Vice (a strawberry daiquiri and piña colada combined), and let's just say... I was fully embracing vacation mode. The only area where I think there's room for improvement is the check-in process. I completely understand this is an enormous resort with thousands of guests coming and going, but the check-in experience felt a little hectic. If that process could be streamlined a bit, it would make an already great stay even better. Other than that, I truly have no complaints. The location is fantastic, the amenities are endless, and for my first trip to Las Vegas, I really do think I picked the perfect hotel. I would absolutely stay here again.
I have never been more disappointed by a Las Vegas hotel stay than I was at the MGM Grand. We booked through a credit card program that promised an elevated luxury experience. Unfortunately, the stay fell far short of those expectations. The one positive aspect was that we were able to check in very early on our arrival day. The front desk agent also told us we were receiving a corner room upgrade. However, the room was not what most people would consider a corner room. While it was the last room in the hallway, there was only one window overlooking the stadium construction site, with a stairwell on the other side. The room itself was clean and adequate, but nothing about it felt upgraded or special. We were assigned to the Studio Tower, which felt dated and noticeably less maintained than other parts of the property. Another disappointment was housekeeping. We returned to our room after being gone for several hours and found it had not been serviced. When I called the front desk, I was told rooms are no longer cleaned unless guests specifically request service. While hotels can certainly adopt whatever policies they choose, this was never communicated to us and was unexpected at a property marketed as a luxury experience. All of that was manageable until checkout day. At approximately 9:45 a.m., after returning from breakfast, our room key stopped working. This was stressful because we needed to pack, shower, and leave by 11:00 a.m. for an appointment. I went downstairs and found a very long line at the front desk. While waiting, I texted the hotel representative who had contacted me upon arrival and told me to reach out if I needed anything. She advised me to find a shorter VIP line for assistance. Following that advice turned out to be a mistake. I found what appeared to be a separate service line and approached the desk after the guest ahead of me finished. I explained that my key had stopped working and that I had been directed there by the hotel representative. The front desk employee immediately and rather rudely informed me that I was standing in an exit area and would need to return to the main line. I explained the situation, including my time constraints and the fact that I only needed a quick key reset, but she repeatedly told me to get back in the long line. I then asked a simple question: whether she was actually capable of resolving the key issue. Rather than answer, she continued repeating that I needed to stand in the other line. We went in circles several times before she simply walked away. It was one of the most frustrating customer service interactions I have experienced at a major hotel. At that point, we were genuinely concerned that we would not make it back to our room in time. The front desk line had grown even longer, and waiting in it would likely have delayed our departure. We noticed several kiosk stations and attempted to use them, but they requested a QR code we did not have. As a last resort, I downloaded and logged into the MGM app. After locating my reservation information, I discovered the app contained a digital room key that immediately solved the problem. What was most frustrating is that neither the hotel representative who had been texting me nor the front desk employee ever mentioned this option. A simple suggestion to use the digital key would have saved us significant time, stress, and frustration. By the time we finally regained access to our room, we only had enough time to pack and leave. We departed feeling relieved to be checking out rather than wishing we could stay longer. Overall, I would not stay at the MGM Grand again, nor would I be inclined to book another MGM property based on this experience. If you are considering this hotel through a luxury travel or credit card program, I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere unless your goal is to be thoroughly underwhelmed.
Stayed in a tower studio during July 4th weekend and was impressed as I hadn't stayed here since I was a kid. This property is huge but convenient. Theres entertainment, amenities, nightlife and lots of food options both for the budget wallet and splurging. Our room was clean, quiet, and comfortable and I appreciated the dessert /mid century / Palm Springs theme. The elevators were dated but they worked well and although the room was small it was perfect for 2 people to rest and get ready in. I hate that vegas charges for parking now, I wish they could allow complimentary self parking for hotel guests overnight. Also using their app for digital key/check in was convenient.
This place is so massive!!! I love the decorations featuring lions. The pool is gigantic too! Many moments in music, sports, and entertainment history occurred here. Big Bang shot a music video here!
I came here for a staycation and had a really nice experience overall. When you check in, there's a bar that offers complimentary drinks, which is a great touch. The rooms are modern and well-designed. My bed even had under-lighting, which looked cool--but I couldn't figure out how to turn it off, At night time so that was a bit frustrating. We ordered room service one day, and it arrived in about 40 minutes--not bad at all. The food was amazing. The fruit was incredibly fresh, and the yogurt bowl was honestly one of the best I've ever had. I've low-key been trying other places just to find something that comes close to that yogurt bowl--it was that good!
I'll always love MGM. I've had incredible memories here throughout the last 20 years with friends and family that I'll never forget. They have one of the best pools, and endless food options. I've seen UFC fighters here, concerts and more! It's a one stop shop for entertainment! Parking is kind of a headache but staff is always positive and willing to help! I've been a pearl member for years and always look forward to visiting any and all mgm properties.
Vegas is an absolute "must stop" on the way back from the Grand Canyon. It's the perfect spot to relax, eat, and enjoy entertainment after exploring the remote, quiet desert. And what better way to end our family road trip than by staying at the premier MGM Grand Las Vegas. This hotel is massive- featuring a huge casino floor, 6.5 acre pool complex, with a lazy river, top tier dining restaurants and endless entertainment! The property offered modern, newly renovated, and comfortable rooms. Prices are reasonable compared to other hotels $$$. Self-check-in was made easy via the MGM mobile app. And parking was easily accessible. Overall, the property and its rooms were clean, spacious and very restful. At one point, the cable in our room was not working properly. Maintenance responded within 20 minutes. They not only fixed the problem, but gave us a $100 voucher to any of their dining options. Now that's customer service 100X!!!
I booked a 4-night stay through the MGM Rewards app for Christmas, from Dec 24-28, 2025. Using the app was super easy , fast check in, digital key, and all the account info at my fingertips. I also really liked that I could park at any hotel in the MGM system, which made getting around much more convenient. In terms of price, it was slightly higher than other booking sites like Expedia. However, since I was bringing my dog with me, the app made it clear that pets were allowed and what the fees would be. On Expedia, that option wasn't available, and I didn't want to risk calling back and forth trying to confirm. I'd rather pay a bit more and know exactly what I'm getting than deal with hidden fees or unclear pet policies. My room was clean and comfortable. One odd thing: around midnight on Dec 24, I got a call saying my door wasn't fully closed. After a long day of driving, it felt a little unsettling. I double checked with the front desk and it was real, but waking up to that wasn't fun. Also, while the hotel has designated smoking areas, some people were smoking in the elevators, which I didn't like. Overall, the stay was fine. The app made check in easy, the room was clean, and bringing a dog was straightforward. Just a couple of odd moments, but nothing that ruined the trip.
Cane for a large leadership meeting. The hotel is nice, they still allow smoking in the casino and you have to walk through it to get anywhere... yuck!! It reeked in here if cigaret smoke. The walk from my room to the convention center was 1 mile. That is not a joke... it was a mile! I had to go back and forth several times a day so needless to say I got my steps. I just wish I had worn more comfortable shoes for the hike! The convention facilities were good. Big, well done, all the services were great, audio visual, the food, the staff... all top notch. The walk to the convention from my room was past all the shops, places to eat, and events. There were several things I wish I had had time to do... it alas it was all work and no play for me from 7am to 10pm and with the time change I was beat every day! The place was clean! Strike that... it was immaculate! The staff was very nice. And I even found a new shirt while I was there in one of the shops. However done buy a coffee at the Starbucks... a grande caramel was 9$ and a water from the shop was 7! Things were very high price here. The main bar didn't even offer a non alcoholic beer of any kind. It was a good meeting though and it was handled well.

Our pool server Vy was absolutely excellent! She was friendly, attentive, and professional, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our time by the pool. The service was outstanding, and her positive attitude made the experience even better. We truly appreciate the great service and would definitely be back! Only negative comment I had is river closed over an hour for cleaning and our umbrellas closed due to weather it was hot on Sat. read more

8/31/26- First time walking around here.. Big and lots of restaurants and shops. Trying to navigate to dinner... plus with lots of people.. finally found the destination.. Not trying to compare apples to apples, but I like newer places- lol.. Still nice to walk around and see different areas.. read more

Cane for a large leadership meeting. The hotel is nice, they still allow smoking in the casino and you have to walk through it to get anywhere... yuck!! It reeked in here if cigaret smoke. The walk from my room to the convention center was 1 mile. That is not a joke... it was a mile! I had to go back and forth several times a day so needless to say I got my steps. I just wish I had worn more comfortable shoes for the hike! The convention facilities were good. Big, well done, all the services were great, audio visual, the food, the staff... all top notch. The walk to the convention from my room was past all the shops, places to eat, and events. There were several things I wish I had had time to do... it alas it was all work and no play for me from 7am to 10pm and with the time change I was beat every day! The place was clean! Strike that... it was immaculate! The staff was very nice. And I even found a new shirt while I was there in one of the shops. However done buy a coffee at the Starbucks... a grande caramel was 9$ and a water from the shop was 7! Things were very high price here. The main bar didn't even offer a non alcoholic beer of any kind. It was a good meeting though and it was handled well. read more

Beautiful place if you want to gamble . High end restaurants plus food court has good food too . Rooms are spacious comfortable .No coffee machine in the room. We enjoyed our stay here . They keep your luggage while you check out to see the canyons . read more

MGM grand was not my first choice but it was a month before spring break and we needed three rooms next to each other. I've stayed at mgm park and loved it so I just assumed this would be the same. Our first two days here were a stand alone reservation as my husband and I arrived before the rest of our family. We later learned it was a room that has not been upgraded. No big deal. After our family arrived we were moving rooms. I paid for a late checkout of our room at 1:00 pm and an early check in at 2:00 for our next room for an easy transition. This is where our whole day was ruined. We had issues at the self check in, we had awful customer service at the desk, they started sending Texts that our room was ready but they weren't. This lasted all day and we didn't get a room until 9 pm that night. We spent all day waiting and finally had to just leave our luggage in someone else's room and get ready for a show and dinner in the hotel bathroom. We finally spoke to a manager and they said they couldn't help us with the reservation because it was booked third party...it was not. We booked directly through MGM on the phone. We essentially lost an entire day of our vacation. If we weren't staying with our family we would have canceled our entire reservation and gone to Aria where we are always treated amazing. I don't plan on staying here again. read more
I had to update my review from last year because it's been a year and the MGM Grand has made major updates to their rooms. Apparently, they underwent renovations to all the rooms and it was honestly for the best. The previous rooms as I said in my previous review were just so outdated most of the room smelled like smoke and it just was not a pleasant place to be. With the newly renovated rooms, it looks so much better and it seems like the air quality has also improved tremendously. This is exactly what this hotel needed after all these years and I'm super happy that I am able to experience the new renovation. So if you stayed at the MGM Grand previously and did not enjoy the rooms, especially the red interior definitely consider trying it again since it looks a lot more modern these days. read more

Our room and another friends room were on Floor 25... both had bed bugs. We complained. They said the testing takes 3-5 days, and I get called the next morning already. To get told that both the rooms came out negative. When we only slept and had all our things just at the MGM. There's no way she would've gotten those bites on the strip My girl has 4 bites on her arm. Showed the bites to bell desk, cleaning lady, manager, everyone confirmed the bites were bed bug bites. A wonderful, but short time here at MGM Grand Hotel in December 2025. A beautiful executive suite this time around! Lovely and simplistic design. Two comfortable Queen beds, two large screen televisions, a separate closet and a large bathroom and shower. There is also a separate seating area as well. View from our room was limited and probably the only non 5 star rating. Linen and towels are clean and comfortable. A small refrigerator and large countertop for your use. Thank you MGM Grand. I hope to be back sooner than later. read more
I stayed here in September 2025 and really enjoyed my stay! As a Vegas newbie, I was so amazed about how much there was to do in this hotel. I especially enjoyed the Friends experience and the Netflix restaurant (though I heard that closed recently). There was also a clothing store near the Friends Experience where I was able to pick up a great find. Our room was clean and the bed was comfortable. My only suggestion for improvement would be adding streaming options to the TVs, as I've been to other hotels that offered that. Another thing I wanted to note is that I really appreciated that there was no strong smoke smell. I noticed a huge difference when walking into other hotels that did have a strong smoke smell. This made the stay so much more pleasant. Overall, a great spot to stay when visiting Vegas! read more

If you are a business traveler, don't go here. Their recent renovations removed desks from the room. There's a tiny little room table that won't fit more than a laptop, forget a second screen. No proper desk chair. Tried to change rooms and apparently only executive suites now have desks. Oh and if you like tacky decor, this is your hotel. read more
Stayed here for two nights and booked through the Chase Edit portal which includes an upgraded room and a $100 dining credit. The room was spacious, recently renovated and with a nice view on the 25th floor. Bed was very comfortable and room was clean and with decent WiFi. Plenty of hot water and outlets. The tv didn't allow streaming, but there were plenty of movies you can select to watch. Staff in general were very friendly and helpful. The only thing I wish they change is that they include parking since guests already pay so much for the ridiculous resort fee. At $20 a day additional for parking, it does feel like the hotel is nickel and diming you... but I guess that's most places in Vegas now. read more

Stayed here for our last night in Vegas and I'm sad we didn't sooner! The room was clean, simple and bright. The beds were absolutely the most comfortable we had all week! The bathroom was a perfect size, the shower had great space and the vanity had such a nice setup. At night, there was a dim light around the windows and under the beds, it really was special! The hotel was bustling on a Wednesday and the restaurants all had a huge wait. But MGM is within easy walking distance to plenty of other great food options so that was no big deal. What a difference a year makes. I made the mistake of booking a Studio room and the moment I walked in, I hated it. So I came up to the reception. Gina first spoke with me, very rude, highly unprofessional and did not care, then an abrupt bye. Really? I was not finished. In stark contrast, the manager Veera, was generous, professional and empathetic to give me a newly renovated high floor room ($20 extra per night). Fully worth it, with spectacular views of the Las Vegas International airport. I'm a huge plane spotting fan, so watching them take off and land, every evening, was an added bonus. My room was fantastic, in terms of bedding with simple, but adequate toiletries and amenities. I made sure to personally thank Veera twice - after getting the room and before leaving the MGM. For the first time, I made use of my hefty resort fees and used the Gym every morning. It had all the needed equipnent. Restaurant wise, I ate at Netflix Bites (nothing much), Le Atelier de Joel Robuchon (always superb) and the Wolfgang Puck Bar and Grill (after Spago a few days back, had to try that smoked salmon pizza here too). There is one issue that still needs to be mentioned. Smoke still permeates the casino floor, though less than before. Patrons are still smoking in non smoking areas and there is no enforcement. Management needs to realize that they endanger the health of all its guests (including non smokers), by allowing people to smoke inside the facilities. Will they fix this long overdue and serious health hazard? read more
If you're in Vegas during the Christmas holidays, going to the MGM to see the decorations is a must. They are absolutely beautiful. Stroll through and enjoys these sights of the season. It can be very crowded, but you won't be disappointed. It's difficult to photograph the displays without people ruining your shots, but magic eraser on your phone eliminates them. All good. Just a sidenote, Shadelle's, a lovely restaurant is right there. I needed a light bite to hold me until my anticipated dinner, so I ordered their onion soup. Delicious! ! We sat at a table by the coffee cart near the entrance as there was a very long line for a table. My daughter had previously eaten at Shadelle's and recomnended it. 9 read more

This is my first time staying at the MGM Grand and I visit Vegas quite often, but I usually stay in the middle of the strip. I was actually in town for a work conference, so it was interesting being in Vegas for work, but I wouldn't change a thing. The MGM Grand had undergone a renovation and they have so many rooms and I was able to stay in a studio suite which was just perfect for me. There were so many food options and there were so many options to shop and of course Gamble. I would recommend MGM Grant to anyone who comes to Vegas and the plus side is how close it is to the airport so rideshare is super easy to take advantage of plus there is a monorail that you can jump on at the hotel and it takes you anywhere up the strip for a day pass That's like $15. read more

MGM Grand doesn't have a distinct theme like other casinos on the strip but it does have a lot of restaurants and shows on site that makes it very convenient. We stayed at the Tower room and the room was clean and the bed was comfortable. It was very quiet despite being a huge hotel. I appreciate that nowadays the smoke in the casino is less pronounced now. We also got to watch Jabbawockeez show, eat at Morimoto and went clubbing at Hakkasan all without having to leave the hotel. It is about 20 minutes walk to Paris Hotel, the central strip area. Since it is at the southern side of the strip, traffic wasn't bad and it's not far from the airport. During the summer the lazy river pool is amazing. I would stay here again. read more

Now this hotel was amazing! The view, the showers, the beds. All was great! My daughter brought her dog. Valet parking 30 dollars per day, if you leave you can come back on the same ticket. Restaurant where we ate breakfast was overpriced and not very good for the wait. Wonderful stay read more

Our stay at MGM was a brief but memorable experience. The hotel is certainly grand in deed. They have multiple attractions, including restaurants, casino machines and stores to shop in. Our room was spacious, clean and the queen sized beds were comfortable. The hand soap in the bathroom smelled good and felt refreshing when rinsing off. The towels were soft and plenty. The staff were friendly and helpful during our stay. What would make this hotel better was if they didn't allow smoking inside. The smoke tends to travel and stays in the carpet. Other than that, we had a fun time walking around the hotel and explored the connected bridge that led to the Hershey chocolate factory and the rest of the strip. read more
I used to come here with my grandparents in the 80s and it was a blast, I have so many memories when I walk through the casino like I did yesterday. The carpet looks like it's been here since the 70s. It's so dark and depressing. They need a serious makeover! read more

Yes they do. They are the only hotel licensed to serve and sell liquor on the premises.
Swimming pool complex. Is the pool clean? Bacteria count etc?
We swam in two of their pools and the lazy river, myself and my 8 year old. We had no illness or issues. It was a very busy weekend.
Are they 420 friendly?
People smoking blunts and pipes right in the official smoking/pet relief area outside the lobby entrance to the right. Some rocks to sit on a lot of homeless in the area. I recommend level 5 of parking garage behind elevators
Is there a free shuttle from the airport to the hotel?
There is not. In fact, many of the hotels in the surrounding area, including MGM do not offer this. However, they can help arrange pickup and drop off for a fee. You can check their mail website for more details
How long does I take to walk from MGM to Mandalay Bay convention and how to use the tram to get there?
From the MGM grand, cross Las Vegas Blvd using the overpass bridge to NY NY. Walk to Excalibur to catch the tram to Mandalay Bay.
Are there any Coffee makers in the rooms?
No that I remember , fridges have a $35 per day rental fee as well
Can 6 people stay in one room?
Fridges will cost $35 a day so a cooler with ice might be your best alternative if that's not an option…
How is the air conditioning in the rooms?
It barely works! We could not sleep properly because we couldn't get the room to cool below 70. Super uncomfortable.
How is the self parking? Easily accessible and is there plenty of it for hotel guests not just daily visitors?
It is easily accessible and there is plenty of it. It does get packed to the point you might have to drive around for a bit, but you will find a spot.
Is the pool open month of December 2020?
The entire pool area and all amenities located within the pool area are closed.
How much is required to be put on your debit/credit card for incidentals? And how long does it take for the money to be credited back?
$100 per night. Don't know how long you get it takes to get back.

Be sure you are in line by 730 am or zero shot at getting in the pool. Oh and cant get coffee anywhere til 8 am, but if you leave to go get coffee, cant get back in the pool area. Terrible!
