Since it had been a few months since my last flight and also my first flight in California, I opted for a scenic flight rather than an instructional one. My instructor let me fly the whole time (since I had hours), while he handled comms (wasn't quite ready to embarrass myself in front of the controllers just yet). Our route took us from KEMT past downtown LA, dodger stadium, hollywood sign, KSMO, transited the LAX bravo via LA Special flight rules, KLGB, KFUL, and back. their fleet is well maintained and it was an amazing flight (except I forgot to flair during landing).

He walked us through the process, answering the many questions that I had. We immediately drove over to meet him. He had a flight instructor, Alan Deroo, ready for us when we arrived. He knows the Sling 2 incredibly well. This is his second Sling and it is very well maintained. The preflight was very thorough. The first hour we worked on flight controls, airspeeds, slow flight, stalls and emergency procedures. Landing a lightsport is a different experience from the Cirrus I was flying before. With Logans great patient instruction I was eventually able to have smooth landings. He teaches me to be looking out the window and not to over rely on my instruments. The best thing about flying with Logan is he is making me a better pilot.
