Don't take your business here. Nobody called me and told me anything during the entire 5 day repair, I had to call for updates or authorizations. They didn't even call me after the work was completed. I couldn't afford the work i wanted done at this time, but they found a way to get paid by charging me $2500.00 for replacing a Brake Chamber and tightening a clamp. They claim to have inspected the truck, but that should take an hour, and should not involve taking anything apart, then putting it back together and charging $270/hr for the privilege of being sexually assaulted without the benefit of lube. this place. read more

Called ahead to see if they could fix my power steering issue on a Freightliner, they checked with their mechanic and said yes bring it in we can get at it that night. Next day I called for an update and they said they could not fix it because they didn't have the tools for Detroit. So I wasted 24 hours and $125 on a room because of their Incompetency. Being an owner operator time is money. Service advisor that checked me in had a real poor attitude as well. Do yourself a favor avoid this place. read more

Beyond bad. No diagnostics, lost ECM visual inspection, wrong fuel pump lift installed, no estimated date of repair, no communication. Josh and Asian did not acknowledge a Do Not Repair and request for codes and sample email. Then proceeded to use authorization from out of town coworker to start working on an undiagnosed issue that cost 75% of ACV of medium sized engine vehicle. Did not fix after finished with work on estimate. Then proceeded to install wrong fuel pump lift and the "newest fuel pump injectors possible" Still smoking shaking at 45 mph l. Third time is a charm but I think I have learned my lesson. This is the worst shop I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with. Last repair took 2 return trips before they got it right. I've spent almost $30,000 here in the last 6 months. Last repair they held the truck hostage for 3 days because there electronic system was down, the check even had a number to call to verify which they refused to do. This repair they won't take a credit card over the phone even with my driver waiting. I'm sure they can't even spell customer service since it's obvious they don't have a clue what it means or care. It is clear how they have earned a 1 star rating. Would not recommend this shop to anyone wanting a correct completed on time. Had to rate them 1 star because you can't rate lower. read more

Kenworth is recognized as a good brand in trucks but unfortunately the staff that sells their products make their products not trust the brand. In July 2019 I went to the Odessa Tx. Store to see the possibility of buying a truck and I was treated badly by its employees. I decided not to buy anything since they offered me a better deal in Dallas, Tx but I realized that ALL the sellers want to rip you off. I did not know that the stores in El Paso, Odessa, Denver, Dallas belong to the same owner, until the day I bought my truck, I bought my 2016 Kenworth T680 with extended warranty from a dealer in Denver, CO. The truck was governed at 65mph and the salesman told me that the store in Odessa, Tx would fix it for me. My surprise was that the Odessa staff (Mechanics and counter clerks) do not know customer service. It was a nightmare doing business with MHC Kenworth starting with their employees DO NOT KNOW THE PRODUCT they are selling. The truck brought a problem with a short circuit. They rely on what their diagnostic computers are saying by being able to see that a wire was disconnected causing a fuse to short. They diagnosed a replacement harness at a cost of $7,000 plus tax. In the presence of the mechanic, I connected the cable and told him: The problem is solved and I don't need your fkn computer to do this. These people can easily bring your business down. Two friends had a rough time buying their trucks at MHC Kenworth El Paso. The seller changed the price of the truck when my friend had already delivered a down payment charging 15,000 dlls more to the account. I suggest them to cancel everything to get their money back. Now they are happy doing business with the company that I recommended. DO NOT BUY AT MHC KENWORTH, I thought I would continue doing business with them but the truth is they treated me badly. I'm a owner operator base in California looking for a class seven truck (flatbed) I called this guys to be specific I talked to Dennis Morris on Thursday August 28 2019 asking for a truck that they posted on a app online. He said that the truck was available to purchase I explain to him that I was in California and I was interested on buying the truck. My son that lives in Denver so he went to test drive the truck and he told me that the truck was a good buy And a good conditions to go head and make a move. I call Dennis again and told him that I wanted to buy the truck and he said that I need it to put $1000 deposit so they can hold the truck for me. I explained to him that I was going to make the purchase on sep7 19 and he said that the was fine. They took my deposit and I emailed them a work order for this truck. I went ahead and purchase my plane ticket to go and purchase the truck on Saturday September 7 2019 went to the bank and purchase a cashier check to finalize the transaction on September 7. I receive a text message from Dennis Morris on Sep 4 2019 saying that they can't sell the truck any more because It was over 150 days on the market. After wasting my time and money at the last minute this guys walked out just like that with a stupid excuse.. Now I lost money and time because this guys lied and made false promises. Money Hungry Crooks. Bought this truck 2 years ago listed for $34k. ECU module went out, truck sat for 6 months, couldn't find it anywhere, national backorder. Finally sold the POS back to them. Wouldn't give me what I wanted because module was bad, so they gave me $50k. Money Hungry Crooks sent it to detail, didn't fix anything, and list it for $95k!! Now I know the rest of the story. Until today, I was a good customer of MHC Kenworth, Denver. I had purchased 6-7 semi-tractors from them in the last 2 years, spending close to $1,000,000 with them during that period. Today, MHC Kenworth Denver, failed to honor the terms of a signed purchase order. The purchase order was signed by both parties weeks ago. I had been waiting for the delivery of the used 2020 T680 semi-tractor for two weeks. The price I agreed to pay was $155,000. This price was difficult to digest as I paid $102,000 for essentially the same tractor nine months ago. Rather than sell the vehicle at the agreed-upon price, MHC Kenworth Denver offered to sell me the same used semi-tractor for a 6% higher price. For the record, they are allowed to do this if they choose to, per the hedge copy in the agreement. They suggested the price increase was the result of supply and demand dynamics and that I pass along the cost to my clients. My business does not have pricing power due to contracted rates, so moves like this by a dealer gouge small businesses like mine. The result is that I will not be able to satisfy my client's expectations, revenues will shrink, and I will be forced to lay off hard-working drivers. If MHC raises prices on signed deals this time, who knows what decision they will make in the future. No business model can predict outcomes if the playing field constantly changes. The best course of action is to avoid unethical businesses and unprincipled business owners. I will not be conducting business with MHC Kenworth, Denver in the future. In addition, I formerly owned PACCAR stock (the parent company of Kenworth). I sold my 1000 shares, today because allowing dealer networks to increase prices without any corresponding increase in value offered to customers is a losing game. It represents the lack of a viable long-term business plan. To date, Denver Freightliner and Volvo dealers have honored their deals with my company and not engaged in these short-term profit-seeking plays at the expense of a good customer. read more

Please read to the end, and you'll know why I gave MCH Kenworth a five-star review... Upon discovering a radiator leak on my T680, I contacted MCH Kenworth in Denver to determine the status of my truck's warranty. I was told that the original manufacturer's warranty was still in effect, and that the radiator was covered. I called back the following week to schedule the repairs around my home time, and to inquire again about the warranty to ensure that it would fully cover the repairs, and was again told that it would. One week later, I dropped the truck off, and yes, a third time, checked to ensure the radiator repairs would be covered. To my face, they said yes. I'm sure most of you can see where this is going... The next day, MCH Kenworth called me to let me know that the radiator was cracked, and that the repairs would be expensive. I let them know that I had been informed that the warranty would cover it, and the rep said he would check and call me back. After a couple hours, I hadn't received a call back, so I called and was told that repairs, as well as my PM, had been completed, and I could pick the truck up at my leisure. I arrived at the service desk to find a bill for $5,123.62. When I asked about the warranty, I was told that because I wasn't the first owner, the warranty was invalid, and that I would be responsible for full payment. Needless to say, vigorous debate ensued, mainly over whether it was their responsibility to inform me that the warranty would not apply, versus my responsibility to inform them that I was not the first owner. I have leased several make and model of trucks, and this was the first time I had ever been refused warranty coverage due to not being the original owner, therefore it never occurred to me to inform them that I wasn't. I was also concerned about the fact that I had not been given the opportunity to authorize the repairs in the face of a very different set of circumstances than was originally offered. I was finally referred to Nate, the service manager, who originally offered me two options: pay the bill in full, or wait 5 hours for them to put my cracked radiator back on the truck. A somewhat heated discussion went back and forth for a few minutes, when all of a sudden, Nate handed me the bill and the keys, and told me to have a nice day. At first, I was dumbfounded. This was a complete 180 after an hour of debate. When I asked him if he had discovered that the truck was in fact covered, he said no, but he would take care of it, and he hoped I would return to do more business with them in the future. I don't get rendered speechless very often, but at that moment, I had no words. Prior to driving truck, I was in sales and customer service, and if you had asked me toward the end of my tenure in that industry, I would have told you that customer service is a dead language. I am happy to say, I found it alive and well here at MCH Kenworth of Denver, and Nate's gesture today has earned him a customer for life. It is rare to find those in business anymore who do the right thing simply because it is right. But I have found it here, and this small business owner, whose single truck is the sole financial support for two families, totaling 13 people, will reward it for as long as I drive a KW. Aided 18k in damage to his truck my bumper and front end got damaged they replaced my bumper i had Penny lights in it the lights they installed where all croocked wiring was all wrong and then i talked to smart ass Shelby about the problem and she had a attitude about it and didn't wanna do anything about it said it already cost us 5k that's not my problem you cost me 15k In down time what a joke she is horrible ass person and horrible costumer service if you can avoid this place rush is down street way better ppl and many other shops that care about there costumers not give them smart ass attitudes my lawyer will be reaching out belive me. read more

Do not use this shop they are a rip off place They will put you out of business. I purchased my truck from mhc not long ago about 5 months to be exact. So far the truck has been great but the experiences I have had with the service is the worst. The last time I brought my truck to get the idle shutdown removed, they were not able to remove it due to a password that was put on by the previous owner or company. So instead of finding us a solution as a paying customer they told me it would cost upward of thousands of dollars to get it removed in other words they going to suck me dry and keep my truck in the shop without me making any money. When I came to pick it up they charged me 270 for labor which I feel ripped off since the truck didn't even get the fixed. This is the 3rd time I get this kind of treatment so I had to say something. I would never recommend this shop. I was planning on buying another truck from Dennis since he did a great job but I will have to go somewhere else just because of the service. read more

I bought a 2013 Peterbilt 386 in late October. I got taken. This lemon has been nothing but repairs. In the last six months I'm up to $23K in repairs. The used truck manager gave me the old, "as is no warranty" line and the general Manager saw me, but that's all. I would go somewhere else if you are looking for a truck. read more

Our truck was in the body shop after an accident, it arrived there end of June 2022 and it was near completion in early February 2023. During this time, we received a notice about a recall (the digital dashboard) so, hoping to be efficient, I asked the body shop and heavy-duty service to coordinate with each other to get the truck serviced after the body shop was done. The body shop finished and put the truck outside. When the service department got to the truck, the batteries had died (due to the cold) so they towed it and charged the batteries. Apparently, that costs nearly $500 but they never informed us. Before going to pick up the truck, there were multiple calls with both the body shop and heavy-duty service to hash out the final details. The only thing we were told is that we had the $1k deductible to pay. When we got to the shop, they stuck us with this $500 bill. It seems absolutely absurd that the body shop wouldn't give us a fully working truck, and they should've done the same for heavy-duty service. Even our claims adjustor said the situation "stinks" and thankfully she was kind enough to reimburse us for this. read more

My husband bought a truck from MHC, along with the warranty, and noted certain defects before the purchase was completed. He took the truck in the shop over a week ago to repair an oil leak and bunk fan. Upon further inspection, they noted other issues that needed to be fixed, which was fine and necessary, they were all pre-existing issues that the truck had and/or that the warranty that was purchased covers. Now, here we are almost 2 weeks later with a truck still in the shop and in a dispute about what the company is willing to cover. We understand that we may have to come out of pocket and have been prepared for that, but they even beat around the bush with that. So, they are good at selling you a great dream of your own truck but the follow through with a fixing issues and honoring a warranty is beyond ridiculous. read more

Please truck drivers DON'T take your semi to MHC Kenworth. Our son took is Semi there for body & mechanic repairs. They had his Semi for 6 weeks, with a (2) week notice when our son would be dropping it off. We get there last night @ 8 PM, & no repairs were even done. His sleeper still had the tear, his Driver side mirror wasn't even bolted correctly, his fenders not replaced but we're taken off, his drop screen & the drivers side not replaced, his stacks on the drivers side not installed correctly, the hood was scratched while in the shop. His outside Chrome was forced into place which now is dented, his dashboard was scratched. Please truck drivers do your research bon MHC Kenworth before leaving it there for any type of work. So, not sure where to start but it took a week to get my truck "fixed". Three issues it came in with were: regen issue, heater and turn signal. They fixed the heater, no issues there. They said they fixed turn signal and they did not. Regen fix lasted just about 250 miles and it was down again. Same issue and another week in a shop. Worst of all was that my truck was done on Monday but I got it on Wednesday because they got confused between two trucks with two different people!!! How is that even possible?! read more

Please read this review till the end.... MHC is Nightmare for Owner Operators. I'm the owner of 2015 KW. It started from replacing my DPF filter by TRP owned by MHC Kenworth, cost was $4,700. They replaced my DPF filter, but not the right way, it cracked within the next two months.... I went back to TRP, they said to take it to MHC, because no mechanic were at that location and to see if they'll cover it under warranty... So I then took it to MHC, but by the that time another code showed up, because cracked dpf filter damaged the interior of the engine which I didn't knew at that time... So MHC just replaced the cracked DPF filter and clear all the code. I took a load on my way to Ca through the rocky mountains. The next day my truck broke down by silverthorn. I had it towed back to MHC. Mechanic once again said that DPF filter cracked, but did not look further what was the reason. Cleared all code and once again I was on my way through the rocky mountains. Truck broke down again within the next 3hrs after I took it from MHC. Had it towed again to MHC... Each towing cost me $1,200. So this time mechanic said that #2 injector is bad. So MHC charged $6,700 to replaced the #2 injector which should never be replaced at first, if their mechanic would take his time and should found the real issue with it. So I paid and re hooked my trailer to take the load to CA. Once again truck broke down at the same spot at Rocky mountain by silverthorn the 3rd time. Once again MHC said to have it towed back to shop. This time their master Mechanic started to diagnose my truck to find out exactly whats going on. Finally Arron the master mechanic found the problem and told me that #2 piston is bad and leaking air. I asked why it took so long and the 3rd time to find out the real issue with it. Arron said it was because their night crew is not trained. They should put the truck on dyno test to find out, but never did. I then asked who's fault is it. He said to talk to his manager. As of now the engine needs to be rebuild because that cracked DPF filter has damaged the engine. Their service manager gave me some discount and then said it would cost me $24K to rebuild the engine. By the time I had no choice to have them rebuild it or else they would charge me a lot for diagnosis @ $195 per hr. Meanwhile I lost $6,000, because broker cancelled my load which I supposed to take to CA. After almost 3 weeks they finally fixed my truck with total coast of over $40K. I had to pay $3,500 to get 2yrs warranty from Cummin's. Two months past and then while I was driving the engine check light came on showing turbo actuator problem. I took it to MHC to have it repaired under warranty. After a day past I called and spoke to Josh. Josh said no active code was found and then changerd me $495 for 2hrs of diagnosis. I asked why there is a charge even though I showed the active code on my phone after took pic of it from my truck NAV screen. Josh said it doesn't matter. In order my truck to be released I need to pay. Which I ended up paying. Got the key and opened my truck, that was when I saw a club locked on my stearing. 3 mins later a guy by the name of Jay working in service Dept showed up and open the club. I asked why it was locked. Jay clearly with bad attitude told me that some customers don't pay and then taking their trucks. But I asked, why he(Jay) thought I would not pay??? he said he did trust me. So after spending over $40K at MHC I ended up a bad guy. One thing hurts me the most is their bad attitude. They think they are doing us favor fixing our truck even though charging us a lot of $$$$. I would never ever go there again. I did not deserve such treatment after spending that much money. Please stay away from the MHC Dealer in Denver, Co. I would rather go to Rush Truck even though sometimes they have attitude also, but not close to what MHC service employees have. Also charging way a lot per hr. I know I'll get a response to contact the Dept Manager, but nothing can't be done.... All I'll hear is that MHC is sorry for bad experience. read more

Very disappointing experience. I am sure a better location can be found to purchase a used truck from. Don't expect that the truck would actually be inspected and fixed if there are any issues. Oh and if they use the APU unit as a selling point on the truck beware that they do not service nor work on them so they would have no clue if it was working or not. If you choose to buy a used truck from this location make sure you have anything and everything promised in writing and you test drive the truck with an actual trailer attached to it so you really know how it will perform. With in a few hours of picking up the truck there were obvious issues that were supposed to be taken care of and were not. Do not expect that management will care or will be concerned as you have already signed on the dotted line so the deal is done. read more

Avoid this place at all cost, completely hopeless when it comes to servicing a Kenworth. All these people walking around behind the service desk and know one to help, what a waste of time. The service desk is completely clueless, a new guy trying to answer the phone and doesn't even know how to enter a truck into the system. Trucks are taking in without VIN#s, no properly estimates done, no properly warning of costs, period. I spoke with Foreman, and he knows less than the new guy about what is happening in his shop. Do yourself a favor and go to another Kenworth shop, this one sucks. No start rating for these idiots. All I hear is that we can't get good people, whining is not going to make this place better. Sorry to hear that your manager is inept and the service desk are clueless, you just lost my business forever. I was told by the guy outside waiting for his truck "get in line, we're never coming back either. Too many sales guys and not enough good people to help those with regular PM service. Medium duty service. None of employees was professional, they had no idea what they were doing. Kept my truck in the shop for 2 weeks, didn't fix the issue, just charge me over 5g. Would not understand what the problem is. Made me replace 6 injectors, when the real problem was a dpr filter. Wanted to reinstall brand new parts , just to charge me for labor. The other mechanic found the problem within 25 min, and fixed it in 2 hours. Do not ever take your truck to those people!!! read more
