This place is huge and they really need more workers. I think our server literally had ALL the tables. He was working hard but it was so difficult for us to get his attention when we needed anything. We wouldnt see him 15 minutes at a time. I think they even had the bathroom attendant help out with clearing plates. Anyways, our resort made reservations here for us. There was an art fest going on in the town so it's probably why it was so busy. Someone greeted us by the entrance saying she was waiting for us, which made us feel like VIPs. At that time it was empty so we had our choice of where to sit. We sat by a beautiful tree and fountain. I had their chicken with mole and it was delicious. My husband was hoping the pork he ordered was going to be shreaded but it was one big slab; he was disappointed. At least our margaritas were good but it was hard to get a refill since we hardly saw our server!

Tequila shots in a champagne glass. What, that's not a comprehensive review? I really thought it was. Well, since you asked, the food was great too. I came with a group of 10, and they accommodated the party on the beautiful patio, made great appetizer recommendations, and overall were very attentive. When the food came, everyone went silent with food happiness. That's better? Ok, now I'm done. Have fun!

Bland...bland...bland. The queso (not pictured) was a hunk of microwaved Monterey Jack cheese. Ceviche was all cucumber and jicama with barely any fish in it. And sadly the carne asada plate was just terrible: I ordered green sauce on my enchilada but they gave me red which tasted like straight up tomato sauce and the steak was overcooked, dry, and flavorless. I don't see how this place has 4 stars; do yourself a favor and go elsewhere.

The food and service was amazing! Each plate was amazing! I had ceviche and the shrimp/ marrow was cooked to perfection. Must try a quesadilla as they're fresh and ooey gooey goodness. The staff is attentive and there's live music. Well deserved 5 stars. Salud!

We have eaten dinner out every night for the past 13 nights. This was my husband's favorite meal. Let me start with the atmosphere: This historical home is still owned by the same family after 200 years. They turned their back yard into outdoor patio seating and it's historical ambiance charmed our pants off! I had a fresh mojito, yum. Hubs had a fresh salad, and I had the tortilla soup. I couldn't believe how good it was. I wish I had the recipe. Hubs ordered the plate with the filet mignon and started telling random strangers to go eat there after we had left, and were walking through the plaza. My meal was good but I was full after the tortilla soup, so I asked the wonderful server, (Francisco) to pack it in a box so I could enjoy it later. This isn't the least expensive place but still it's reasonably priced.

The best restaurant we visited during our 5 day Cabo vacation. The back patio dining area had a wonderful family atmosphere. The service was attentive and genuine rather than the standard "I recommend the most expensive item on the menu" that you often see in this touristy area. The carne asada was amazing as were the shrimp tacos that my wife ordered. My young daughter enjoyed seeing the cats that roam around the patio. We would definitely go back and highly recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking a fun genuine Mexican dining experience.

We came across this restaurant by accident. We were looking for a taxi and I asked this man giving margarita samples out where we can find a taxi. Who would of thought that this nice man would go out of his to help us and call a taxi for strangers and give us sample margaritas. We decided to stay a Mi Casa Restaurant and eat while we waiting for taxi. The food was delicious. The drinks delicious and very strong... now that's a margarita! The staff so kind and gracious. I highly recommend this place. We will be back, thank you.

Great food! Great staff! Beautiful restaurant. The mole with tamarindo was amazing! As was the tampiqueña. Food was cooked to perfection. Margaritas were delicious! We had a trio sing two songs for us and we gave them 5 dollars per song. They were so kind and seemed to love what they do. They were great! Price was about right for being a restaurant downtown. Only thing i wasn't quite happy with was that two young girls came up to our table and offered us a shot of don julio that was steamed we said yea of course! Assuming they were free since they came and offered it to us and even recorded a video. It didn't kill my experience but i would suggest you guys disclose that this will be added to the bill... other than that everything was great!

It just wasn't good. The drinks weren't good and the food was nothing special. Plus it was very expensive. We won't be going back.

There is an indoor area or outside courtyard you can choose from. We had the pleasure of working with several Staff members including our main waiter, Marco as well as Ivan and Miriam. They were all so fun and attentive. They brought us a small serving of soup as an appetizer. My husband had a taste of the tortilla broth which had a little kick to it and I had the bean soup. Both were a nice sampling of the soup they offered. We ordered the chips & huac to start. The chips were thick and crispy. The guacamole tasted super fresh and bright. Now, the tacos are some of the best tacos we've ever eaten in MX or the US. The creativity and variety of toppings were outstanding. I really enjoyed the EL TAKESHI 190MX Rib Eye, Sesame, Hoisin, Ginger, Chives, Crispy Shallots, Flour tortilla. The meat was cooked perfectly and the flavor they developed was delicious. I also ordered the MEXICAN FLANK STEAK $150MX. Fresh Chiapas Cheese , Arugula, Crispy Leek & Potato, Macha Sauce, Yellow Corn tortillas. All these flavors worked so well together. One of the tastiest tacos they have on the menu is a cheese based tortilla taco called CHEESE CRUST PASTOR $100MX. Talk about a flavor bomb. Marinated Pork, Asadero Cheese Crust, Cilantro, Onion, Pineapple. My husband also ordered the CHIPOTLE SHRIMP $165MX. Shrimp, Chipotle Cream, fried parsley, flour tortilla. He loved it. For my Arizona friends, they will be opening a Scottsdale location in 2027. I can wait. Add this to your must try restaurants. Also, they just opened a location in Dallas Texas.

We had our wedding there so these are my sentiments on that. From start to finish, the team went truly above and beyond. Mariana, our day-of planner, was exceptional-- calm & proactive. She anticipated needs before they arose and ensured the entire day flowed seamlessly. Ernesto, the property manager, was equally incredible. He guided us through the wine selections with care and expertise and was hands-on throughout the reception--circulating among guests, refilling glasses, and making sure everyone felt taken care of (perhaps a little too well, in the best way). The execution of the wedding was flawless. Everything we envisioned and described was brought to life exactly as we had hoped--if not better. Dinner was a dream: a long, elegant table set beneath the passion fruit vines, surrounded by the sounds and scents of the farm and garden. The reception under the stars felt intimate and enchanting. Mariana recommended soft lighting along the path to the restrooms so guests could move safely and comfortably--a small detail that speaks volumes about the level of care. She even set them up for us as we brought some beautiful Luminary bags from the states - guests loved this touch. Our guests could not stop praising the venue's natural beauty. The smells of the garden, the warmth of the farm, and the effortless elegance of the setting made the evening unforgettable. Dancing all night in the banana grove is a memory we will carry with us forever. The vibe was natural and authentic, unlike some other venues that seem commercial - so this fit us perfectly. We are endlessly grateful to the Tamarindos team for creating such a meaningful, stunning, and joy-filled experience. This venue is truly special, and we cannot thank them enough.

But that was the end of the positive things as a swarm of flies quickly came to eat the food. Trying to swat them away helped a bit but there was way too many of them. I eventually flagged a waiter down, and he shrugged at the flies. A minute later some candle flame thing came out saying that it will help with the flies but already that was too late as flies were all over the food and I lost my appetite at that point. It was disgusting. I just got up and left. Went to cashier to pay my bill. The cashier also shrugged at my fly incident, and I asked how much it was going to be. Full price. No consideration about bad operating environment and since they knew about the fly issue they didnt setup before food was served to control it better. Even after bringing it up again in detail, she shrugged again. No sorry or anything, just a brush off. Then to make it even worse she asked if I wanted to tip the service. I was in there for a few minutes, staff didnt help quickly or even pre-empt the fly issue, and I'm being asked to pay full price. Sorry but no thanks. How did this place get on the Michelin list? Service poor. Environment poor. Zero or negative star rating for me.
