I'll tell you right now if you're anywhere near Cabo and you skip Los Tres Gallos, you messed up. This place sits right in downtown but once you walk inside boom beautiful courtyard, lights hanging everywhere, and a mariachi band that doesn't just play music... they attack your table with joy. I'm talking the kind of band that makes you want to order another margarita just so you can clap along like you suddenly grew up in Guadalajara. And the food? Real-deal Mexican classics mole, enchiladas, chile rellenos big flavors coming out of a kitchen that knows what it's doing. Now let's talk about the chips and salsa, because I didn't come here to play games. Some restaurants give you chips like they're doing you a favor three chips and a little salsa like it's a museum sample. Not here. These chips show up ready to party. Crunchy, warm, and the salsa hits you like, "Hola amigo, welcome to flavor." Add the incredible service and that mariachi band floating through the courtyard and suddenly dinner turns into a whole event. Honestly, this place was one of the highlights of my Cabo trip and my socks? Yeah... they're still somewhere on the floor from those chips and salsa.

I'm actually sad... I come every year for pozole and tres gallos flan. I brought a group of 17 yesterday. at least half of us ordered pozole which was definitely missing some spice compared to previous visits. some people had the mole enchiladas which were ok. The most disappointing part was that we flan tasted good but when we cut into it it fell over and was mushy. it was not the harder creamy texture that i'm used to. The flavor was good. texture was just sad. i'm

This is always one of my go to spots in Cabo. Service is always great. The ambiance is super cool and the food is fabulous. The only thing I wish they would do better are their margaritas. They are consistently good

    The best flan EVER!

Service was excellent and the food was delicious. Nice Mexican restaurant in outdoor patio setting. We were very satisfied with Los Tres Gallos. One of the best restaurants in Cabo. And the flan is the best I have ever had anywhere in my worldly travels.

    Nicely decorated.

One of the nicer higher end restaurants in the Cabo San Jose Plaza. Excellent bone marrow appetizer and very tasty main dishes . Their flan was huge and so good. The three of us shared it and we couldn't finish it as it was huge. Ambience and service was great!

Very good. Everything was flavorful and cooked to perfection. The presentation was outstanding. The lobster was excellent and generous. The food was spicy, but not "Mexican hot" like you'd find in Mexico City. Flavorful, but not overbearing. However, if Taco Bell mild sauce is too hot for you, it's going to burn. If you're in the mood for upscale Mexican cuisine without the stuffy fine dining atmosphere, this is a good option. I'll stop by again next time I'm in Cabo San Lucas.

The absolutely most delicious food and experience we have had yet! We should have known when the appetizers came how delicious everything else would be. I had the pork pibil and my husband had the shrimp. Ian y Daniel were our servers and gave us an amazing catered experience. 12/10... will absolutely come back. Also the desert was to die for, I may have to literally be rolled out of this restaurant. With how cute it is, i would be okay with staying a few more hours.

Decent places to eat but I wouldn't try again. Great service, we arrived early for dinner and the restaurant was empty. The food appearance was appealing but the flavors were a bit bland. It is pricey, even compared to American prices.

My husband and I enjoyed our dinner at Los Tres Gallos. The ambience and decor was great, and the mariachi band was a nice touch. The servers were friendly and attentive as well. We ordered two appetizers each and that was enough for both of us to be stuffed. The food was good, but as I am of Asian descent, I cannot speak to its authenticity. Most of the clientele were foreigners. We made a reservation on OpenTable. The only thing that threw me off was that the hostess asked us what hotel we stayed at. It could have been for security or marketing purposes, but it felt a bit odd. Nevertheless we had a pleasant dinner experience!

I don't know that 5 stars is enough! From the cute and cozy decor, to the live music from wandering mariachis taking requests, this place exudes comfort. We started with appetizers AND the table side Caesar salad, then a table full of entrees for trying lots of different things, and ended with two desserts including bananas foster prepared table side. Nothing was less than excellent, service was right on top of everything, and the prices were better than average for this part of Cabo.

One thing is certain, that how much you search to find the best restaurants, the traditional search engines always miss out. The only reason I think that is the case is because they don't pay to have their establishments featured. I asked the reception desk for a suggestion, and this is what they came up with ....And let me tell you, it was an unforgettable experience. As you walk in, there is a huge space decorated with immense Mexican talent and artistry. There's well balanced bright lighting, a trio of serenading mariachi musicians walking around and asking for business. I started with the, Ensalada Los Tres Gallos (mixed baby greens, jicama, avocado and red onion, plus pineapple, peeled orange slices and ripe cherry tomatoes, with a pinch of chile tajin and a heaping of panela cheese, all tossed together in a piquant dressing of olive oil, cilantro and chile Serrano). All the vegetables and lettuce were crisp, fresh and full of flavor and taste bud impact. Next, the chicken (shredded) enchiladas, in a verde sauce. I'm generally not fond of shredded meat, but was willing to give this one a try. When it came to my table, it blew me away. The tortillas that wrap the shredded chicken were soft, fresh and really unique. I don't think I've had anything like this in Los Angeles. Chicken was tender and slightly chunky, so it hit the spot. I had to end with the Churros. Came with chocolate sauce and vanilla ice cream. I couldn't finish all of it, but it was superb. Problem here, like a lot of other places, is when they do the conversion into dollars. They do not care for the customers. And they push, for you to pay in US dollars. Everywhere, they set their own rate, in their favor, ignore the current bank conversion. And in most places, there is a 16% food tax that is included in the price. And when they suggest a tip, they don't subtract the tax. Because it's nuts, you don't tip on the tax amount. It goes to the government. So be careful. Always pay in the local currency, it really pisses them off, but that's the way you have to do it. Anyway, food wise, it was fantastic. Easily, one of the best restaurants that I've been to, during this trip, to Cabo San Lucas.

3.5 STARS Date: Monday, December 23rd, 2024 Time: around 3:30pm Party of: 2 Meal: Lunch #2 *Agua Hethe Nat 350 ($85) x2 *Margarita Jalapeno ($445) *Enchiladas de Mole ($390) *Carnitas de Chamorro ($650) *Queso Fundido ($295) It was our last full day in Cabo, so I wanted to have one more sit down meal in town. After looking around, we decided to check out Los Tres Gallos. We didn't have a reservation, but it wasn't too busy, so easily to grabbed a table. No rezzie needed. The queso was my fav. Tho eat it quickly since its a larger portion. Stayed hot for an adequate amount of time. But it's best when it's super ooey gooey. And the chorizo just made it that much more fatty and delish. I got the carnitas. A hefty portion and fried nicely. It was great with the queso. The hubby thought his enchiladas were okay. My marg was on the lighter and sweeter side than I prefer, but it was fine for sipping. Service was good. Took a while to order since the resto is a pretty good size and there might have been only one server or so on the floor? But we never felt like anything took too long. At the price point, i think everything was all right. Can't really go wrong with melted cheese and fried pork, so let's round this up to 4 stars. REVIEW #3672

Proper Mexican mole the kind built from dried chiles, nuts, seeds, and even a whisper of chocolate thick, dark, mysterious stuff that tastes like it took a committee of grandmothers three days to invent. Then the tacos arrived, and that's when things got serious. These weren't tidy little tacos meant for polite company. No sir. These were the kind where the juice runs down your hands and you stop worrying about manners because flavor has taken command of the ship. La Lupita is known around Cabo for its creative tacos and massive mezcal selection, and judging by the crowd and the music humming through the place, folks already know the secret. The staff goes the extra mile with every little detail, and before long you realize you didn't just stop for tacos you discovered a whole new method of happiness, served on a tortilla.

It was just me and my husband, but there were quite a few larger groups dining while we were here. The service is wonderful. We had two main waiters, both of whom were kind, attentive, and made us feel very welcome. The cocktails and the wine we ordered were wonderful. I really loved the cocktail we ordered! Our dining experience was nice, but the food we ordered was just okay. I wouldn't call it some of the best of Cabo. Of our six dinners in Cabo, I would say it was probably our second to least favorite. But, that's not saying it was bad! It just wasn't on par with the other restaurants we dined at. First, I told the restaurant both when I made the reservation and when two different people at the restaurant inquired about food restrictions that I could not have cheese. The first thing served to us - an amuse bouche - was heavy on the cheese. It was a rather large ravioli, which was much larger than a normal amuse bouche -- and it had cheese inside the ravioli, a cheesy sauce, and cheese grated on top. So I could not eat a bite of it. My husband said it was just okay. The best thing we ordered here was the aguachile. It was beautiful, colorful, artfully presented, and absolutely delicious. So fresh, and well prepared. Loved it! Our main courses, however, were a little disappointing. They tasted fine, but ate more like the kind of main course you would order at a chain Italian restaurant in the US: heavy, chewy, and generic. But my personal saddest moment was when the churros arrived. I love churros, so very much. These looked beautiful, but when my husband and I cut into ours, they were all raw on the inside. So the flavor outside was delicious but we couldn't eat more than the ends of the churros. Overall, I enjoyed the experience of dining at Casa Martin... I just wish the food was better. I am hoping it was just an off night, and I look forward to revisiting this restaurant on a future visit to Cabo and hopefully having a better meal (but the aguachile was seriously so good - order that!).
