We had the most incredible lunch at this little restaurant on the marina. As we were walking by earlier in the day, we noticed a fresh Marlin leaving a boat and being delivered to this restaurant so we decided that would be our lunch spot. It did not disappoint. While walking through the busy Cabo San Lucas Marina, we stumbled upon Herradero. We really just needed to use the bathroom but decided to return the favor and have a drink. Herradero has an outdoor area where you can sit and look at the marina view; nice setting. It's one of the places where staff members are posted outside trying to get people to patronize the business. In addition to the drinks, we decided to share a mocajete with carne asada and shrimp. The taste was very good, but the portion did not justify the price. Regarding the service, it was very good. Okay, so. We got recommended this place by a friend. Service was wonderful, food was delicious, and everyone was friendly. This is what happened, upon entering the restaurant the owner told us two for one margaritas, so we got 6. THEN, when the bill came he charged us for 6 margaritas not 3. We picked this one because it was smaller and we wanted to watch the World Series on TV. Great service, they make your guacamole right in front of you at your table. We found this place because it smelled wonderful as we walked along the entire harbor. It turned out to be our favorite restaurant in Cabo San Lucas! We sat at the bar facing the harbor, and had the most amazing steak and shrimp mocajete! It was plenty of food for two people. The steak, shrimp and green onions brown beautifully with all those amazing maillard flavors against the side of the very hot pot, while the broth steams up and melts all that shredded cheese beautifully into a cheesy sauce under the avocado slices. The freshly made guacamole was also very good. After we ran out of the delicious tortillas for the mocajete, we enjoyed the rest with the guac and chips. I wish we had been hungry enough to try the queso, which is also made at the table, and the flan. When in doubt, follow the nose! read more

Great food, great views, great service. We are here on a cruise and stopped by after spending the morning on the beach. The 2 for 1 drinks caught our eye. We got chips and guacamole, queso with carnitas, and enchilada verde con pollo. Everything was amazing! My husband said it's the best Mexican food he has ever had. Food and service was great but I won't be going back again because of the random additional "charge" on our bill. Even though the menu says the 16% tax is included in the stated price of the items on the menu, the bill came with an additional 16% charge. Delicious molcajete! I tried the same hot stone dish at other places but this place is definitely one of my favorites. The sauce or soup was plenty and flavorful, the quality of the cheese and meat was great! Also tried the margarita, it was so fresh and delicious. It's located at the Marina so you always get a great view, it's also a safer neighborhood in my opinion. Service was good and they take Visa or MasterCard. Herradoro is a restaurant that the tour companies send the tourist waiting for their boats to. Located right on the marina the boat captains come and get you when your boat is ready. The menu is your normal Mexican fare. We had a couple of beers and the shrimp and octopus ceviche. Good. The service is excellent, they even packed our ceviche to go with chips and crackers. The tour hawkers make sure the get their commission by turning in the referral coupon. Plus stars for the friendly service and the clean restrooms. read more

This is a nice place to sit and look out at the marina. The servers were kind, though not particularly attentive. That may be because we arrived near closing time. We had an enchilada plate and some nachos and like all of Cabo's restaurant food they were very tasty. Also prices were quite reasonable. The big kicker though is the bucket of 5 beers for $13.00 USD. Can't be beat in that area if you want a place to get out of the sun and relax for a bit. read more
