We were driving along 95 from Orlando and craving good Mexican food. This place really delivered! The cheese dip was hot and delicious. The street tacos were fantastic. I'm still trying to decide which was better - the chorizo or the pork. My dinner partner had the enchiladas ranchero and loved them. Service was friendly and fast. We have this place marked in our faves and can't wait until our next trip to Florida in March to stop in again. Well worth the 10 minute drive off the highway. read more

Followed YELP and was a good choice. Great atmosphere and very friendly servers. Checked on just enough and everything was perfect. Got the boritto Colorado and it was better than I've ever had. Slightly spicy but not enough to make your eyes water! Pork and chicken in one wrap. Wow!! Will be coming back here every night I'm in town. read more

Visiting from Atlanta, we were wanting Mexican food and this was the highest rated place in the area. Unfortunately, it was very underwhelming. The salsa served with the chips was good, very mild but flavorful. The queso we ordered would have been tasty, had it been hot. My mom is a vegetarian, and there were two menu options that did not contain meat. Granted, we were at fault here for not looking at the menu before we came, but every other Mexican restaurant we have ever been to has had vegetarian options. I ordered a taco and rice, and asked for tomato to be added to the taco. When the food arrived, the taco did not have tomato, and also was not hot. Maybe it was an off night, I don't know. But to say this place has 'authentic Mexican food' is a joke. I've been all over Mexico and never eaten garbage like this. I ordered a tamale with 2 tostada. The tamale was *dry* and hard to eat. The tostadas were not made with a tostada tortilla, they used a crunchy taco shell and broke it in half, then put melted cheese on that, then added the ingredients on top. It was impossible to pick the tostada up because it was made with the broken taco shell, further, it was stuck to the plate because of the cheese that was poured all over it. When I complained to the waitress, she said "sorry" and didn't do a thing or tell anyone. When leaving, I told the cashier who did nothing. It was a horrible experience. read more

I love this place, I dont eat meat and they have a ton of yummy options you cant find any place else in town. They always accommodate my requests (which are often difficult because of my diet) and the food is always amazing! I usually get rice, beans, and grilled mushroom with zuchinni by the way. After reading all the great reviews we stopped in here for a night out in st Mary's. Ordered the Horchata, which had a very strange chemical taste, like artificial sweeteners or something else. Not a fan but I don't normally order that drink so who's to say it isn't always like that. I'm pregnant so thought I'd start off with a side salad but after waiting quite some time we realized I wasn't going to get it as a starter so I asked to cancel my side salad order. Waiter was not rude but also didn't ask any questions. My husband ordered the shrimp, chicken, and steak fajitas and he thought they were fine but he likes anything food-related, especially when I'm paying. :) i ordered the Shrek and thought it tasted funny, almost like a peanut butter taste. I read the menu wrong and thought that it had only pulled pork, and failed to notice the chicken and chorizo that the menu stated. When the manager came over he explained that I was incorrect and I told him that it tasted bad bad but he ignored that part and concentrated on the ingredients. I did check the menu and told my husband that I had read the menu incorrectly. I got almost halfway done with my burrito and looked down and saw browning avocado. I tasted the avocado by itself and it was spoiled. That was the peanut butter taste I had noticed. Asked my husband to taste it because I thought maybe my taste buds were off. He confirmed that it was bad. Called the manager over again and I assume he was cooking because he told the waiter it would be a few minutes. Explained to waiter the situation and encouraged him to have owner or manager try it because I felt like a pain in the butt at this point. Explained that I still wanted to order dessert... Still hungry at this point and finally decided between fried ice cream and sopapillas. Went for sopapillas with a scoop of ice cream. Manager came over later to tell me that basically I was a liar and they got a truck that morning full of delicious, fresh avocados. Waiter brought out sopapillas with a scoop of "fried" ice cream and said I wasn't being charged for my food or the dessert, which was very nice but I intended on paying for my dessert. The fried ice cream was literally just a scoop of vanilla with crushed cornflakes on it. It was so terrible. And normally sopapillas have cinnamon sugar on them and this just was overly fried tortillas with a few drizzles of sauce. I didn't enjoy anything and feel that the manager should've tasted my avocado and kept his mouth shut. Will never go back, needless to say. Sad that Camden county has such few good restaurants that this is at the top of the list. read more

My husband and I have always loved MiCasa. We would always go there for their MiCasa Fajitas for two, which has always been a super large portion, that we could always get two more meals out of. While the fajitas tasted as good as always, the portion seems to have gotten much smaller, when ordering a gin and club soda from the bar, I was informed that they do not have top shelf liquors of any kind????? What kind of place has a bar with NO top shelf liquors? Then I asked for a side of guacamole. It was very obvious that it was not made from real avocados or even contained any real avocados, and there was a couple of pieces of rice in it, which would lead one to believe that it may have come from someone else's, left over plate. Our waiter was very attentive, and catered to our every need, but with this experience, would definitely choose another place for Mexican. Cutting corners like this, while seemingly insignificant, is usually the demise of the restaurant. read more

I've only eaten here once, but having been to some of the other Mexican restaurants in the area, I feel like it deserves a review. Went here for lunch with some coworkers. Of course we got chips and salsa right off, and the salsa was more than just watery tomato sauce! For my meal, I got the quesadilla. It was delicious, the black beans it came with were cooked properly (worth noting because most places seem to make them soggy and gross), and the salad was very fresh. My coworkers were also happy with their meals, which were fajitas, enchiladas, and chimichangas. The server was friendly and attentive without hovering. We've already decided that next time we go out for Mexican, we're coming here. read more

We were disappointed given this was the highest rated restaurant in St. Mary's. Guacamole was served ice cold and was tasteless, Enchiladas Rancheros were served wet and sloppy with elastic-like cheese, the California Burrito was unappetizing, stale, and poorly constructed. $1.99 draft beer was good. Very clean, fast service and the food is great. We had the California Burrito and the Shrek Burrito. I loved the Shrek, it is my new favorite. The margaritas are wonderful and smooth. Have been there several times and was pleased with the whole experience. However, the past two times I have been there the service was substandard. To the point that I got up and took our empty glasses to the bar to get a refill on our drinks. Tonight, my sister and I were given one bowl of salsa to share. We had to ask for another one. Our drinks ran empty twice. Our food did not come out at the same time. The rice and beans on both of our plates was cold. After finally flagging down our server, we ask for replacements. By the time they finally brought them out we were nearly finished with the rest of our meal. Our empty plates sat on our table and were never cleared while we were there. I was ask the typical was everything ok when paying the bill. I told the person running the register that it was not ok and relayed all the above information. All I got was I'm sorry, we will try to do better next time. While I was not expecting a discounted meal but I did expect more of a concern that so many things were wrong with our dinning experience. Typically, I will not write a negative review. If I am not pleased with a restaurant, I let them know while I am there. Since there was no concern about the problems from the staff, I feel motivated to let others know. There may not be a "next time" for me to find out if they will do better. read more
