Amazing venue. The inside looks like a square and a little town with the fountain in the center and cute booths all around the edges. We had delicious food and amazing margaritas. This was nothing less than spectacular! I'm already so excited for our next visit. I was absolutely amazed when we walked into this gorgeous dining space. It has a full on fountain in the middle of it! My jaw actually dropped as I walked further in and with the view from our table. It was so beautiful! So relaxing and inviting too. The service was excellent. They were on top of their game, so friendly, and helpful with menu questions. I had the Mexican pizza with ground beef. I am not even kidding when I say that I need another one right now. If I could drive myself all the way out to Carson right now I would. It was phenomenal and unlike anything I've had. I am an adventurous person when it comes to food, and I like to try out new places to find the best! First time coming here (a friend wanted to meet here saying they liked it here a lot because it was quiet). Inside the restaurant, they had a fountain in the middle of the restaurant, which it was cool. There were lots of natural lights coming in which I did like! There was one person (as far as I could see) who was sitting customer's AND serving. Not much of a personality and I didn't feel welcomed at all. I decided to stick to what I know and what I liked. I ordered a chicken taco salad. The shell was tiny, which resulted in very little salad....there were decent amounts of chicken in it, but however they made the chicken, was very wet and low-key soupy (had bell peppers cooked with the chicken as well). Chicken did not have a lot of flavor and I did not evry the food one bit. Maybe I ordered the wrong thing, maybe I didn't, but my stomach was upset after eating the food. I would give it a zero star if I could, but one star will do and I do not plan on returning to this restaurant. read more

This place hasn't changed in more than 20 years. I like the decor and the little booths around the atrium in the center. Visited for an early dinner and got combo meals. Good selection of traditional favorites and the food came out fast. We really like the cheese enchiladas that have a lot of onions. My mom liked her Chile relleno too. My shredded beef taco was not as good, kind of bland but I kicked it up with some salsa and guacamole. Service was a little gruff at first but he warned up by the end. read more

This is without a doubt the WORST Mexican restaurant I've ever been to. My family and I went there last night for dinner and we ended up sending 4 plates back because of how inedible the food was (burnt canned tomato sauce on everything) They refused to take those four plates off the check and we called them out on it. They had the audacity to call the cops on my husband for calling out their illegal business practices and treating us as poorly as they did. Over the years we have eaten there and the quality of food has been basic Mexican American. This last time I ate there I had the Cheech and Chong burrito. When I got the plate it looked normal. The burrito says the meat is filet steak. When I took a bite it was hard and chewy and hard as leather. I cooked in a steak house when I was younger and know my meat. This meat was not filet. It was from a roast cut. The taste was bland, and a lot of fat and grissel. The servings of rice and beans was small and also bland. I was very disappointed. Also the price went up a lot. This is a hidden gem. In the 10 years I have lived in Reno I have not tried Mi Casa Too and I should have. Priced fair, great quality of food and very engaged service. Order the Carne Asada Taco, came with rice and beans. Friend ordered enchiladas. Food came out smokin hot, you could tell that they know what they are doing. Plenty of seating and can accommodate groups. Motifs are very authentic. They had a pico that came with the carne asada that was so good, spicy, roasted chili's! The food was absolutely horrific. My wife and I tried this place a few weeks ago. We both didn't finish our dishes. I never thought someone could screw up a bean and cheese burrito, but this place took the cake! I'm a pretty simple guy, I order a bean and cheese burrito dinner. The menu said nothing about it being a wet burrito. It came with either a burnt enchilada sauce or a mole sauce. I honestly couldn't tell. When I asked our waiter about it, he had said it is added to all their burritos to enhance the flavor of their food. My response was from how bad the burrito tasted? I would prefer a home made burrito with refried beans out a can that taste like the tin can over the crap they served me. Needless to say my wife and I only finished only half our dinners and paid the enormous bill for food we didn't even finish. I wish we would of looked up the reviews before going here. Stopped in here for some tacos on the way out of Carson back to Reno. It's a large restaurant, and was almost empty when arrived. We sat at a booth. It was pretty cold in the restaurant, but the chips and salsa was good and we got served really fast because it wasn't busy. The tacos and enchiladas were delicious. The waiter was really nice and friendly and attentive. No major complaints here and would definitely come back if the opportunity presents itself. read more

Absolute worst Mexican food we have ever had. No flavor at all. Everything was watery. Taco came in a processed hard shell. Yuck! Rice was watery. Beans were good. Chicken for taco was watery, with very little flavor. Salsa for chips had absolutely no heat or flavor. Service was slow even though there were only six people in restaurant. I've been a fan of Micasa and their signature dish Tostada Supreme since the 70's when they were on Terminal Way in Reno. Then ate regularly at the 4th Street Micasa Too in Reno for many years. I'm happy to say that the Carson Micasa Too has the Tostada Supreme. It's perfect with Chicken! Really had a nice enjoyable lunch with Strawberry margarita. We will be back! read more

Wished I could give it 0 stars. Have been coming here for over 30 years, have not been here in a while My husband likes El Charro, I talked him into going. Boy did I get in trouble, Not only could we not eat what was served, We were hungry and ate about a third of it. He made me taste his enchilada and said does this sauce taste weird. Way to much cumin, too much chili powder is ok with me, I like cumin but you have to be careful, or it makes the dish bitter. The refried beans tasted like they came out of a can, got about 3 tbs of them with not cheese, The rice had no flavor at all, and was way over cooked horrible, My one taco I ordered for 10.95 was not much better, small but it was so non plus that I only ate half of it. Service was good! That is the one thing I can say about it. There will always be places on yelp which are massively underrated. Mi Casa Too is one of them. I have always avoided Mexican food because it just doesn't appeal to me. But the food here is by far the best Mexican food I've had. I don't know if my being an Asian had anything to do with it. But I've been here several times and I've quite literally never been disappointed. The owner greeted us with a smile as always. Asked what we wanted to drink. Wifey asked for the strawberry Margarita and loved it. I asked him to get me a beer that he liked. I'm no connoisseur but I liked the beer. Short while later we asked that he get us the Chicken Fajitas, and Vegetarian Fajitas. They were both very nicely done. The chicken was tender and had enough flavor to keep me going. It saddens me to do this, but I must. I've been going to this restaurant since I was in high school (1993). This was a staple for my family and I to go to every time we came into town. So, I post this with a heavy heart. Last night my parents and I went here for dinner, with my service dog, and was harassed by the manager. I'm not sure if the manager is not familiar with service animals, however he was complaining that the health department doesn't allow animals in restaurants. I completely understand that law; however, those laws do not apply to service animals. The manager even asked me what type of disability I have. This upset my father so much that he defended me explaining that I am a combat veteran with PTSD. Not that this has anything to do with anything. It's unlawful for any establishment to ask anything about a service animal, except to ensure they are one. We ended up leaving early. We will no longer be going to eat there. So, I highly caution anyone who has a service animal to steer clear of this place. It's sad because the food is pretty good. read more
