Fresh salsa is killer!! Taste like mom`s home cooking! Everything was fresh and well presented. I had the chile relleno, which you can taste is freshly roasted. As always, you can tell good Mexican by how good their beans and rice taste, and here they are spot on! I poured the yummy salsa on everything, it was so delish! (not that the food needed it) Can`t wait to go back and try more things on their menu. Also, If you go to their store next door they sell the fresh salsa and chips from the restaurant.

Very good food, clean, and good prices. It's on the other side of town, but I'm willing to drive there again for some real Mexican food.

This little place was located across the street from where we were staying. We love tamales, and…read morethe reviews were good so we had to give it a try. My husband stopped over and ordered a dozen tamales, half pork and half chicken and took them to go. They came with a side of salsa also. I did not enter the store or interact with the staff, but the food was very good. We ate some right away and they were still hot and fresh. I had a hard time distinguishing between the chicken and the pork back at our kitchen, but it really didn't matter too much. There was a good ratio of meat to cornmeal and the flavors were tasty for both. You could tell the tamales were "handmade" because they were not uniform in size and the corn husk wrapping was different on each one. The salsa was good, but maybe a bit to spicy for my taste buds. We ended up freezing most of them and eating them over time. They were just as good upon reheating. I'd definitely return and get more when visiting the area.

I spent the second half of my lunch here.I learned this was a second location to their Carson store. I was greeted immediately upon arrival. I browsed their menu and decided on cheese enchiladas. I have a family recipe for the best red sauce, but when I don't feel like destroying my clean kitchen and getting Chile seeds all over my counter tops; I'll order cheese enchiladas in red sauce at our local Mexican restaurants. It did hit the spot, but I wasn't a fan of the beans. The rice was good and fluffy. Overall the red sauce and rice had a really good flavor. The gentleman in the front of the house made this visit a great one. I'm sure I'll see you again soon as I plan to be working nearby for awhile. Thanks for the hospitality!

Apparently, he still owns the buildings but is not allowed to run the busines or even hang out during business hours. Anyways...... This place has the best Bloody Mary's in Virgina City. HANDS DOWN. Bucket of Blood and the Delta dont compare. (I've had jsut about every bar's bloody mary in VC.) I like my Bloody Mar with side car of Miller high life. Now, for you folks not form the midwest, many of the bars will pour you a small glass (4-5oz) of beer whenyou order a bloody mary. We call that a side car. They dont do that here....(but they should!! HINT HINT to Bonanza bartenders!) So, I basically make my own and order a cold beer and share it bewteen the two of us. Th place is huge and they could host a huge party or even a large wedding easily. The restaurant next door is a Mexican resturant and I'm not sure if it is owned by the same owner or there is just a cooperative agreeement but they will serve you in eother location and they are connected on the inside. I have not eaten here so cannot reveiew the food. (but, it looks and smells delicious!!)

Not fair that menu prices are not reflective of charges. I just did a little research at their menu prices and realized that I was charged for a chile verde and not the chili colorado which I ordered, I did question the lady regarding billing me for the chile verde and not the chile colorado which I ordered and she dismissively said it was the same. I realized that the menu price was not the sane, it was upcharged an additional $3.00. Now for the food, I have to admit the chile colorado was pretty good but skimpy as hell, the rice and beans were far from being considered substantial in fact if you used a paint brush to apply the rice and beans you would yield more than what they put on the plate. There was a diamond out of the meal, the tortillas were homemade and they were a real standout. So in conclusion the chile colorado was pretty good but left you saying where's the meal, we won't even mention the lack of rice and beans and forget about a little salsa or lettuce and tomatoes which often appear at other restaurants.
