    Fish Tacos

Stopped in for a late lunch and overall had a good experience. Only negative was there was no one at the host station as we came in so it took a bit for us to get the attention of someone to get seated. Although once seated we were quickly brought waters and complimentary chips and salsa, which was yummy! I had the fish tacos which were lightly breaded and had a yummy light sauce. The menu had a lot of great options. The restauarnt looked overall clean as well. A pretty good experience and would stop in for lunch again if in the area.

First off, the brunch offerings are INSANE (in the best way possible). I tried a variety of their brunch specials and every single dish was better than the last. The Sweet Plantain Pancakes were fluffy, golden, and had that perfect balance of sweetness from the plantains -- truly unique and memorable. The Berries French Toast was another standout: thick slices of perfectly soaked bread topped with a mountain of fresh berries and a drizzle of syrup that made each bite a dream. But the chilaquiles... oh wow. If you're a fan of bold, savory brunch, these are a must -- packed with flavors and it's a solid 5/5 for me What really sets Mi Cava & Cocina apart is the upscale yet welcoming atmosphere. Inside, it's beautifully designed -- chic decor, high ceilings, and a layout that feels both spacious and cozy. But it doesn't stop there: the outdoor space is massive, with two large patios, full bar access, and heaters to keep things cozy even on chilly days. Whether you're celebrating a birthday, bachelorette party, or just a sunny weekend, this place is ideal. Mi Cava & Cocina is an absolute gem. Delicious food, excellent drinks, stylish atmosphere, and unbeatable value. Whether you're a local or just visiting Portland, put this place at the top of your list -- your weekend brunch game will never be the same.

This was a shareable dish, that has steak, chicken, bacon wrapped shrimp and so much more! Was aooo good!

We had our Christmas work party here with only a 3day notice and they had no problem fitting us in! The restaurant is super spacious! The staff was friendly and attentive to us. Absolutely everything we ordered was delicious! We will definitely be return customers!

This place offers a huge menu! Theres sure to be something for anyone! Our first time trying this Mexican spot. Large restaurant with tons of seating. This doesn't always mean there will be staff available to fill the restaurant but there lots of room available. It's a nice place, nicely decorated and appears clean. When trying a new place we always order our favorite dishes, the molcajete and fajitas. Both were very good, served hot, and full of flavor. The meats were well seasoned and tender. Be careful with that molcajete though, it comes out piping hot and boiling. All our side dish toppings were fresh and the tortillas were warm. I wasn't a fan of the tortilla soup but my husband really liked it. Chips and salsa were served quickly after we were seated. We still love places that offer chips and salsa! We frequent many taco trucks so getting chips and salsa at a table is almost "fancy" for us now. Ha! Our hostess and servers were very nice. Our food was served in a timely manor. Being a nice, large, restaurant with table service and extras it does come with a higher price tag. This will be considered a date night place for us since we regularly opt for street tacos and foil wrapped burritos locally. I'm sure we'll be back to try some more items from the menu.

Have been here five times since it opened and have yet to be disappointed! This ceviche is always super fresh, the pinto beans are always warm and if you ask for it, they have a secret spicy salsa that they don't serve with. A normal chips. Have also sampled all of the mole, and multiple other dishes with extended family members coming to visit., and the music is always fun. Super friendly staff, and the weight has never been very long. I hope this place stays around for a long time!!!

Dropped in with work friends for a super fast lunch: food was good, not great: -service was very good -prices were pretty fair -ambiance was comfortable Would try again when I have more time.

Don't let pulling up into the strip mall scare you, we def had 2nd thoughts especially with all the cute brunch places in Portland, but this one was cute inside and food was good. Only about 6 Mexican breakfast options so def go with a lunch or dinner mindset. They had a really good array of alcoholic beverages too. Their margaritas were massive and the spicy sweet flights super good. We got huevos rancheros which were good, shrimp enchiladas which were better and breakfast skillet which had a little kick to it but was pretty good too.

Can a 13 year old eat here or is it a bar?

Yes. It is a restaurant, that has a bar area as well.

Do they have a Mariachi band?

I don't think so, but I but you could hire one if you hosted an event there. Its a large space.

It is the kind of place you instantly feel comfortable settling into. Everyone we interacted with was incredibly kind, and the service was genuinely great throughout. We ordered the Quekas with vegan chorizo and black beans and they were SO good, honestly a standout. The chips and guac were also a hit, and I loved that the guac was actually cold. Such a small detail that makes a big difference. The Citrus Salad was super fresh, crisp, and delicious, which balanced everything out perfectly. I also tried the NA classic margarita and it was so refreshing. I loved the subtle touch of orange juice. Overall, such a lovely spot with amazing food, great vibes, and thoughtful details. I will definitely be back!

Today my wife and I enjoyed scrumptious Tacotes, one chicken and one Bok Choy with house made salsa. Also, the Tetela de Requeson, maiz, beans and sprouting broccoli with a house made requeson - kind of like ricotta cheese - very beautifully plated and so delicious. Extra side of yummy and creamy black bean frijoles with sour cream, butter, tortillas. Instead of desert, the Mezcal, chile and lime was refreshing. Right now open for lunch Thursday through Sunday 10-3pm. No fixed menu, changes with what's fresh - the way chef Angel loves to cook respecting what is in season. Yes, the food plated looks so good, I am inspired to dig in. There's a reason it was recognized early in its start by Eater, Portland Monthly and the Oregonian as one of the best restaurants in the city because foodies seek out and love to go where the food experience is special - especially the chef tasting menus in the past.
