After over 10 years of owning them, the fabric on my sofa bed started to fall apart, because it was never meant to be used as a daily couch, and the other sofa looked worse for wear with bad microfiber fabric and damaged cushions/edging. I reached out to Chimos in Nov '24 and Joselyn came to my home and gave me an estimate based on my choice of fabric and some recommendations to help improve the function of the couch. To my surprise, they were able to pick it up later that same day to get started. It took a little under 4 weeks and I was thrilled with the final result. It's been over a year and it hardly seems like it's been sat on, even though it's my main couch. I was so happy at the quality of the job, that I reached out to Joselyn a month later asking if she could come and give me an estimate for the 2nd sofa. This one was not just a straight reupholster, I asked if they could re-design the sofa itself, by incorporating some padding on the arms, changing the foam to be more comfortable, adding legs, and fixing some of the frame so it could look similar to the first one. Again, they were able to pick it up the same day, and even though there were more changes, it took half as long as the first one, and they delivered it promptly. Their team who picked up and dropped off was also very professional, and they were so kind about having to carry both couches up and down the stairs to my apartment, since my building doesn't have an elevator. Overall, I am so so happy with both couches; they now look like a sibling set. Reupholstering is definitely pricey, and I had to save up for it but I'm thrilled with the quality of the work and now I know these will last years more. If I ever have a need to get anything else reupholstered, I'll definitely be calling Chimo's again. ¡Gracias Joselyn y el equipo de Chimo's!

After months of procrastinating, I looked on Yelp and found Paco's, only a mile away. I brought in the window seat and a dark yellow sofa cushion it needed to complement. Coco showed us a few fabrics that might work for the seat, and within about two minutes my family and I had agreed on a woven green. Coco told us that the item would be ready in five or six days, but two days later texted to tell me the work was finished. Amazing! Coco & crew transformed our sad window seat with the stained fabric into a thing of beauty -- much more comfortable, with nicer fabric that will stand up to use. The price was ridiculously reasonable. I wish I had more items to upholster, but I will be back at Paco's when I do.

He told me very politely to call back after the event and that it was wiser to do the rugs after my party. He was totally right. I recently called back and dropped off 3 rugs for cleaning. Bijan met me outside at my car, chatted for a bit and then he took the rugs and said he would call when they were ready. Needless to say, I'm writing this review because of Bijan's kind and competent customer service and also because my rugs look fantastic! I was previously taking my rugs to dry cleaner but Bijan explained how what they do is different for rugs. In the case of my dry cleaner, they charged more for less than stellar work. My rugs look and feel better than new. Thank you, Bijan! You've got a customer for life!

FYI, the owner told me the yelp check-in offer does not apply on Saturday and Sunday because those are "sale" days. If you bring cash, you may be able to haggle off the tax. There were 5'x7' rugs for around $60-120 plus tax but very good quality compared to what you get online, straight from Turkey. Of course, they had a range of other size rugs too. I did go to LA trim. LA trim had a bigger selection and their range was about $60-180. The one I liked there was the $180 rug and frankly did not want to spend more than $100 so I opted for this one. Overall, I'm satisfied with my purchase and experience. Here is my photo. I do hope both store employees stop wearing masks with a valve as that has been discouraged.
