Very slow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Not much flavor don't waste your time and money on this one

I'm back here a year later: Service was perfect. Immediate seating. Awesome staff. Friendly, prompt. Food was fantastic. I got the beef taco/tamale/chile relleno. It was great. Like, authentic great. I'm from a town of 50,000 that has 4 restaurants that claim to be Mexican. None are even close to the quality and authenticity of this joint. The fried ice cream is also great. Another plus: very clean place. There's several condiment bottles on the table. All were spotless. No crusty junk under or around the caps. No greasy hand smears on the outside of the bottles. Came here with my dad and his friend and I'm only gonna say one thing the food was damn delicious don't listen to these one star reviews they just didn't like what they ordered LOL. Anyways give this place a shot it is the best mexican food we have ever had. read more

Morris has a new restaurant! This place looks great with bright, fun, one-of-a-kind chairs, tables and wall art. The food is um, very Minnesotan, with ZERO spice and very liberal use of cheese-sauce. I could have done without the 'cheese sauce' as I found it too salty and unappetizing, but I'm sure it has its fans. Tasty chips, enormous menu and good waitstaff (the bartenders I dealt with were less than stellar, however). Hope Mi Mexico lasts. They are doing plenty right; they just really need to add some spice (pepper even!) and get more competent bartenders. And would it be too much to hope for real cheese instead of the gravy-like 'cheese sauce' over everything?? read more

Great Mexican food! Do not pass up a chance for some authentic, delicious, food! We have been there several times and love it every time!

Good Mexican food is not always easy to find in Minnesota. I am thrilled Mi Mexico is now open for business in Morris! They serve a wide variety of good Mexican cuisine at very reasonable prices, as well as several good Mexican beers and some wonderful margaritas. Two in my party had the tender Guisado pork in spicy green sauce, while the others both had fajitas. All dishes were served perfectly seasoned and piping hot. The early crowd on opening night was quite large, especially considering the bad weather and poor driving conditions. The staff was friendly, if a bit overwhelmed. I'm sure once the kinks are worked out the service will improve. read more

As we sat for dinner, service started out well. After the food came, I asked for additional napkins. Never happened. Meanwhile the entire time there, my view was a table piled with dirty glasses. A lot of idle time seems wasted. I also witnessed a waiter clear dishes from a neighboring table, take them to the kitchen, immediately return to fill a basket of chips bare handed. Ok, when I go for Mexican food, I'm looking for flavor. I had the chicken chimichanga and added rice and beans. The chicken Chimi was ok but the cheese sauce was blah. There was supposed to be jalapeño in there but I couldn't find any. The Spanish rice tasted like white rice and the re fried beans needed to be fried again. Maybe they serve too many whiny gringos out here. read more

This is probably my new favorite Mexican restaurant that I has ever been at. The waiters were really polite and generous, and the service was outstanding. The food was ready in less than 15 minutes, and it was really good. Will for sure come here next time I'm in town. read more

Over 2 hours for our food, literally. Screwed up on drinks and overcharged us. Then they argued with us when we told them our bills were wrong! That's just the short version of what went wrong. So embarrassing. The first time I've ever stiffed my server. That's how bad it was. read more

Seated quickly, service prompt & helpful. Steak in Fajitas was tough & veggies were very over cooked. Beef and cheese Quesadilla had approximately 3 Tbs liquid that drained off when plate tilted- bottom tortilla was moisture logged & gooey. Chips & salsa were fabulous. The Food was atrocious. The Salsa was tasteless the Beef used for the Fajita tasted like really cheap meat. The Guacamole and sour cream tasted old. And it looked like instead of replacing an old bottle of Tabasco Sauce with a new one they just added White Vinegar to the bottle and shook it up. The place was clean and the staff was very friendly and efficient but I will never be going there again. read more

Went to Mi Mexico for the first time today. My husband and I had lunch. It was delicious. Kind of surprised that the enchilada lunch included only one enchilada, rather than two, especially since it comes with a choice of rice OR beans. It was enough for lunch, though. Our server was pleasant, and one or two other employees made point of asking how everything was as well. We will definitely be back. read more

This is one of the few formal restaurants in Morris and it is our go to place. We used to drive to Benson to go here and were thrilled when they opened with the same owner. The atmosphere is bright and energetic. The staff has always been kind and personable. I don't think we have ever waited longer than fifteen minutes for our food and although the chips are standard, boy are they yummy with the salsa. The food tastes very good and while a few dishes have been under seasoned, most of what we have gotten has been flavorful with great presentation. The only really negative thing I can say is I have been unimpressed with their fruity mixed drinks. They are overly sweet and the blend just seems off when we have gotten them. Overall, we really love to eat here in this bright and cheerful environment. This is the crown of Morris. read more
