We had their pupusas -- delicious, stuffed with tons of cheesy goodness, with your choice of fillings of course. Service was in Espanol, but the non-Spanish speaking orders did fine by pointing at the menu. Service was prompt and friendly, booths were a little cramped but everything looked clean. This place has definitely gone downhill. Every once in a while i like to order pupusas from here. It had been a while since i ate there, so i decided to order two pupusas. I placed a phone order and then went to pick them up. When i received my order i checked it to make sure it was correct. i was confused because it seemed as if i had only received one pupusa. I even asked the lady how many they had gave me and she responded "there's two in there". I opened it and saw both pupusas and thought nothing else, but was still kinda confused because they felt so thin. So i got home and i opened up the foiled and just as i had suspected the pupusas did not look like the ones I've ate there before. They looked like two thin plain tortillas. They were dry and felt stale as if they had been reheated. I opened up the pupusas and they barely had any ingredients inside of it. It looked empty and not appetizing at all. This coming from someone that is familiarized with Salvadoran food. I had to go back to show them what a disappointment the food was. Stopped by here on a rainy Saturday night while I waited for my barber up the street. I've visited this place before and I've only had the Pupusas which are great. The menu has a mix of both Mexican and Salvadorian food. I always have the Pupusas with cheese and Loroco which is a veggie used in Latin America. Today, around 1pm, My friend and I ordered to go, but when we got to the restaurant there was only one family eating in. So we decided to eat in as well. We sit down and start eating and as I'm pouring the cortido onto my plate of pupusas there's a hair. My friend ordered pupusas as well, and as she cuts her pupusa she also finds a hair mixed within the cheese. She shows the lady the plate and asks the lady(cashier) to replace her food. The lady had an attitude towards my friend about replacing her food. Then, we are waiting sitting at our table we accidentally spill a drink and had to move tables. It was an accident and accidents happen. Another worker came out to clean up The spill. The lady (cashier) was upset and tells my friend next time you order togo you have to leave and can't eat here. The reason she gave us was that we ordered togo and there's a pandemic. yes, it Would've been understandable if there was a bunch of people eating in at the time. I am a fan of their rice masa pupusas.... there's something about that masa rice that make these kind of pupusas stand out of the regular corn masa ones. I am nowhere near to be a pupusa expert nor I am Savadoran but those rice masa pupusas are the main reason I come here.... yup it is that serious! They also have good beef soups, aguas frescas and other Salvadoran goodies you'll love to. Parking is crazy as it is shared with a laundry and a donut place but if you get to find a good spot you're in it for the win. The ladies working here speak little to no English but they won't mess up with your order.... also the outside of the place have lots of sketchy activies going out so just be careful or take out! I knew my fiancee would want some since she steals from my plate all the damn time. So I got her some. Now I am very selective of when I grade the quality of pupusas. What I had was what I call the test plate: 1 revuelta and 1 loroco. I order it with tomato sauce and curtido. So I try them and.....they remind me when I went to El Salvador and ordered them from the colonia's pupusera. I felt at home as I saw young and old order from the chunky Salvadoran pupuseras that you would stereotypically see making bomb pupusas.
