Back for a yearly update. Casa is still a Concord staple. Servers are always so friendly and the restaurant draws a crowd. Is it the best Mexican food around, no. But it's good. I like to go for the chili poblanos because they stuff theirs with cheese and for some reason other places stuff with potato which is so wrong. This location specifically is the best of the best-Mr Daniel is a fantastic example of how to provide top notch service, ambience, and food. It is always consistent and you can tell he truly cares about the experience itself and the people enjoying it. My go to is the Fajitas Chihuahua-it checks all the boxes every time. I truly enjoyed my meal and drink at this location. I've wanted to go here for a while now and I finally made the decision to go. The service was great. The ambiance felt comfy. My food was flavorful and hot. The veggies and my avocado were fresh. The portion was great for the price and it was not expensive at all. My son being the smart kid that he is loves Mexican food so we eat there often. We're Concord natives that now live in Asheville and thanks to Helene we've been in town staying with family. Casa Grande was always one of our go tos when we lived in town but on this return visit I found it a little just blah. Nothing stood out the food was ok, the service was below their normal standard, floor was sticky, overall it was passable but I've had better from there and elsewhere. They do have ACP on the kids menu which was a bonus for my son. I'd definitely consider going back next time we're in town to try again to see if it was a one off or if the place has changed over the 7-8 years we've been away. . read more

We've been going to this restaurant for years you can eat pretty cheap or you can eat expensively.

A few years ago, this place was great. But the last couple of times I have ordered the order was missing items, or like today I had to ask for the right items to be added in what was given still wasn't even correct and what was given was undercooked. They have the best pollo fundido here! And the margs are always strong and delicious! Nice place to hangout with family and friends, it's always busy and I feel like that speaks for itself! I've been here over 20 times now and love it! Favorite meal is the 2 enchiladas and taco combo with rice and beans. I have also brought several people with me as well. Every time I order to go from here, it's always a problem. They're either charging me for an item, and it's not in the bag. Or my order isn't complete. If you believe in Covid and want your restaurant to practice at least commonsense safety measures, stay away. No online order or payment, unless you use a third party service. Staff that I can see are masked. The checkout is just inside the entry doors. Here, at this desk, indoor patrons pay the bill, takeout customers pay and pickup and the delivery services pickup. They have not made any process adjustments to keep this area free of crowds. One employee on phone and running the register and running back and forth to the back for some reason. Promising people food in 10 minutes, but taking at least 20. This is causing a coagulation of people up front waiting for food. Add that to the GROUPS of people waiting to be seated to eat inside PLUS the waitstaff constantly going back and forth. People coming in without masks, just standing at each door. I went outside to watch for my food to come up front. At this point, I had ordered 25 minutes prior. Saw new food, wanted to go in BUT, guy on phone again, 1 person at register, 2 sets of people waiting to check out (that I could see anyhow) and some kid coughing his head off inside. Almost forgot, one of the 2 guys without masks still standing inside the door waiting on food. No thanks!!! I went to this restaurant tonight, the staff was amazing... The prices were reasonable. I had the chicken chimichangas, and while they were meaty and seasoned well they weren't as Crispy as I like them. My sister had the carnitas, it was seasoned well and my mother had the Azteca. We all agreed that the beans left a lot to be desired. The beans were more like bean paste or mashed bean mush, and they charged me $1.29 for a dollop of sour cream! Other than that, it a nice little local spot for dinner with lunch specials and a separate light menu. The Queso is mild and delicious. I will be back. read more

I ordered the shrimp taco salad , I love when they know to cook shrimp My taco was really good now I wish I could say tge same about their chips. The first ones they brought Were stale:(. Stopped in while in the area. Had the California Burrito w/ steak for lunch, wife had the Deluxe Burrito. The Mole was really good. Was mildly surprised at how good this was. My wife had the California burrito and I had the Pollo Gratinado. My wife enjoyed her burrito. Since we ordered it to go, you never know how that will affect the taste/quality of the food. Her only critique was that the mole sauce was very strong...she recommends you get it on the side so you can determine if you want a little or a lot. For my dish, the Pollo Gratinado was really good. An 8 oz. chicken breast pounded thin & flat, then grilled on a flat top. The dish was then paired with rice, yellow squash, zucchini and broccoli, before being topped off with a light cheese sauce. It was very tasty. In fact, it really didn't seem like a Mexican dish at all. Some quick research shows that my dish is considered "comfort food". Well that makes sense because I was comforted after grubbing on it. It was enough for 2 people. read more

I've been looking for a restaurant forever that served ceviche and finally I'd found one BUT I was pretty disappointed. It was super bland and was more like a tomato salad. Fortunately, the huge taco made up for it. This was pretty much the highlight of my meal with pickled jalapeños on the side for some great spice.
