I stumbled upon this restaurant on a random Thursday afternoon. I'm glad I did as it's becoming increasingly difficult to get an authentic Mexican meal. It was hardly no one in the restaurant just me and one other table. The wait staff was incredibly prompt and kind. The chips were fresh and I loved the salsa. Im a huge fan of cilantro and loved that the taste was pronounced without being overpowering. I ordered guacamole as an appetizer and it was well seasoned and fresh. It was served with pita chips which I enjoyed. I settled for an old classic-the Texanos ACP which is rice, cheese, steak, chicken, and shrimp. It was a large portion and I took the majority of it home. It reheated well too. The restaurant is very large and looks like it would be good to host a party. The booths are spacious and can fit a large group and the backs sit up high so you have privacy amongst your party. I'll definitely be back and will enjoy trying other items on the menu.

Whoa, Mi Pueblo killed it today! The lunch crew was amazing today. Perfect customer service and the tostada de ceviche (under $7) was outstanding. I literally can't say anything bad about our visit. My kids enjoyed it. My parents enjoyed it. I had a great visit and I will absolutely return! This place is great for groups as the restaurant is huge and wonderful for kids too. My girls gobble up their cheese quesadillas and asked for more. Thank you, Mi Pueblo, for a perfect lunch.

Hair in my food upon delivery from kitchen!

After craving Mi Pueblo all day and almost begging my daughter to come with me (she agreed even though she had Mexican the night before), there was HAIR in my food when it arrived at the table. No apologies from manager. Waitress and manager said they had to take food back to "show" the cooks! Was not looking for compensation but it was not even offered .

Super Enchiladas. This was my first time having this. Definitely would have again!

I really like this as a go to Mexican food option. The food is really good. The service is fantastic and I think they do a great job in presentation. The salsa is better than most places and I am a salsa girl so that's saying something!

We shared a steak fajita plate and it was good, nothing special. The chips are on the thicker side if that is your preference. There is plenty of seating at this restaurant and also good for large parties. It is clean and comfortable. Our server was very kind and helpful. Just a nice dinner.

High Point has no shortage of mid-tier Mexican eateries (another, La Fiesta, is a short walk away), and at first blush, Mi Pueblo doesn't appear to do much to distinguish itself. The music, the brick-and-Southwestern décor, and even the name all create the vague sense that you've been there, seen that. However, there were enough surprises to help Mi Pueblo stand out from the pack. For starters, the menu is appreciably huge. In addition to the base menu, there are supplements for street tacos, make-your-own rice bowls, and tortas. While you certainly can go the familiar route here, Mi Pueblo offers plenty of room to branch out. Want a baked potato stuffed with meat, cheese, and avocado? They have that. Want a bit-of-everything combo platter that serves four? They have that too. The same spirit of abundance extends to the drinks menu, which features quite a few margarita offerings (and sangria). My wife and I went with chiles poblanos (fried cheese-stuffed peppers) and a sopes trio (open-faced sandwiches featuring different toppings on thick corn discs). While our server was generally on top of things, the kitchen proved rather slow. Though far from empty, the restaurant was hardly slammed at the time of our visit. Fortunately, when the food did arrive, it proved worth the wait. The sopes included a tinga (slow roasted chicken), a potato, and a chorizo offering, all of which were tasty. The poblano was something akin to a luxury XL version of a jalapeno popper and became an instant favorite. A $6.95 "medium" flavored margarita will leave you scratching your head as you ponder how big of a glass a large would require. This, plus fairly affordable pricing, suggests that Mi Pueblo is more than merely the solid three-star experience it first appears to be. Repeat visits will tell if that holds true over time.

I can post pictures but it doesn't matter I have ordered twice within one week because I am bedridden and my daughter got the food at the door and the first time I was missing nachos rice and beans and salsa. I called and Rafael said to call next time my order and asked for him and he would do something special. I called three days later and ordered a much larger order because I had my other daughter eating with us as a vegetarian. Nothing special included still missing ingredients called back no response. I'm sorry to have delayed posting this but it has been one of my favorite restaurants in there guacamole appetizer is the best in the triad but I just called now to ask for him and they said he's on break for five Ours and I have tried to reach him before this and no response.

We also got an appetizer of corn ribs because... that stuff is delicious. I appreciate the tea being brought in GIANT glasses, as I was never wanting for a refill. I don't see why more places don't do this, what an easy way to relieve your server of a common service pain point. There was also a birthday party while we were there, and let me tell you, the entire restaurant... lights, music, and all... shifts into party mode when it's time to sing that person a song. Pretty impressive. Anyway, back to the food. We did enjoy the corn ribs, but they were pretty messy and difficult to eat. I have seen some examples at other places where the kernels were easier to get at, or you could even eat the husk part because it was so thin. Also, we would have liked a little more, the ribs did not even really add up to a full large ear of corn. The fajitas for two were really good and a huge portion. Very tender meat and veggies. We would have liked to see more pineapple. The chunks were small and a little sparse on the skillet, so in the end, we didn't get much of that tropical flavor. In the end, it wasn't enough to deduct a star as we had an excellent overall experience. Thanks amigos!

Update for our 2026 annual visit:…read more We ate in this year and the service and ambiance matched the quality of the food we had last year. I have been looking forward to the World Ninja Championships so that I can eat here again and the team did not disappoint. I had the special, chilaquiles supreme and YES! Flank steak butterflied and so tender that I cut through it easily with a butter knife. They make the chips fresh for each order of chilaquiles and you can taste it. Generous amounts of every flavor that went into the meal and I left stuffed! Hands down, my favorite place and I have a feeling we are making a second trip here this year for sure! First impression as you walk in, or look at images of the menu: AUTHENTIC! First impressions when you bite into your food: They nailed the first impression! I had the lingua, tripa, pez, and Pastor tacos. My family had the California burrito, chicken and beef tacos, and the Enchiladas Mexicanos with mole and salsa verde. We also added a side of guac and chips. Guac: thin mixed avocado and perfectly sized chunks mixed in with the tomato and seasonings. An absolute must! The 4 tacos I ate were succulent to say the least. The tripa was thin and crispy, but you could taste the rendered fat in them. It had the texture of perfectly cooked bacon. Al pastor is one of my favorites and this one did not disappoint. Then there was the pez taco that was just the right amount of crispy without being an iota overcooked. At last I ate the lingua taco. It melted in my mouth and I immediately wanted another. I don't even like mole sauce, but I couldn't stop eating the mole enchilada. Aces, hands down. The California burrito was phenomenal and had the perfect amount of each ingredient and a delectable amount of heat and sweet cream sauce. The chicken was obviously hand shredded and had equal amounts of larger chunks of meat and thin pulled pieces to soak up all the flavor in endless nooks and crannies. If you have not been here please do your palate a flavor and stop in. The value far exceeded the price of our meals and we plan on coming here every year when the World Ninia finals rome to town

So we were really impressed with the tables being kept up after the lunch rush and the chairs were comfortable as well. The prices are fair especially with how good the food is. Even our family friend who is notoriously picky was impressed by the food. One downside was that it was difficult to understand the lady behind the counter however we were able to order by pointing to what we wanted. One of the meals we got we aren't sure exactly what it was, as we pointed to something someone else had gotten. Our friend got the chicken quesadilla and she said it was really good. The only thing that was a little disappointing was the guacamole. It was a bit thin and bland. We went based on a recommendation of a coworker who said they had three tacos for $9.99 as part of a meal and they said they were so good and it was a really great value which is why we went there. We definitely weren't disappointed and plan on returning.
