California Burrito
Rebekah H.

My partner and I came in on Thursday evening around 7:00. We were seated immediately and got Nicole for our server We got an order of the chips and guacamole to start along with the complimentary chips and salsa. The guacamole was awesome, I always need more salt or something in restaurant guac but this guacamole was amazing. We ordered the super enchiladas and the California burrito. Both were great, they came out fast, hot, and well seasoned. Our server Nicole was on top of everything for our experience. Refills, boxes, and she checked on us constantly. When we were boxing up our food she even offered to grab us a thing of chips and salsa to go! The food was delicious, the ambiance was very cool, and the service was awesome. Will definitely return!

Total staple for Mexican in the High Point community. This is most recently renovated Mexican restaurant anywhere near by. They even added a cute picture wall at the entrance recently. The Guacamole Regional is quite literally the BEST guac I have ever had at any restaurant, really not sure how they do it. When dinning in the restaurant they make it next to your table in front of you. There are so many options & you really cannot go wrong with anything on the menu. We got take out this time but have eaten at the restaurant many times. The staff are super efficient & quick with orders. Not to mention there many weekly specials such as 50% house margs on Mondays! Can be a bit pricy in comparison to other local Mexican cuisine but the quality is worth it!

Steak and cheese burrito

Salsa and chips were great. Salsa had a nice kick and chips were not oily. Ordered a half/half tea and lunch special that seemed portioned well. Service was not great and waitress seemed to disappear for extended periods. Overall, the restaurant was clean but the booths are very tight for full grown men to comfortably sit beside each other.

Mi Pueblo is consistently good when my family and I go for dinner. The staff is friendly and they have a great variety of options in the menu!

Tostada de Ceviche

We have been patrons for years; Always very pleasant service and smiles dine in or take out. Strangely I haven't taken more pictures or left a review, but I think we all know to expect and most Mi Pueblo locals know the drill. We popped in for a few drinks and a small bite tonight, challenging ourselves to pick something new. Jalapeño Margarita is on point, sugar or salt is offered. What I do find is that some people never display that one item on the menu that may not be so popular. The ceviche was fresh, light, acidic, with abundant and fresh avocado. I chose not to bother with the tostado beneath and built bites with my chips instead. Ultimate point is that the freshness of the ceviche is a good indicator of quality of other seafood items on the menu.

This is my go to Mexican restaurant in the High Point area. I love the Rice, Rice Baby as well as the Hawaiian Chicken and Tequila Chicken. Rice, Rice Baby isn't on the menu anymore but they will still make it! The Hawaiian and Tequila Chicken both have a sweet sauce on them and when it mixes with the Mexican rice it is simply magical! I normally don't like anything on the rice because they have one of the best Mexican rices I have ever had but the sauce with the Hawaiian and Tequila Chicken makes it even better! The mild salsa is also one of the best mild salsa I've ever had at a restaurant. Mild is typically just tomato sauce but their's is legit salsa! The cocktail flight are also great! I was their this weekend and probably will be back next weekend!

Spicy Margaritas are my favorite !!

We also got an appetizer of corn ribs because... that stuff is delicious. I appreciate the tea being brought in GIANT glasses, as I was never wanting for a refill. I don't see why more places don't do this, what an easy way to relieve your server of a common service pain point. There was also a birthday party while we were there, and let me tell you, the entire restaurant... lights, music, and all... shifts into party mode when it's time to sing that person a song. Pretty impressive. Anyway, back to the food. We did enjoy the corn ribs, but they were pretty messy and difficult to eat. I have seen some examples at other places where the kernels were easier to get at, or you could even eat the husk part because it was so thin. Also, we would have liked a little more, the ribs did not even really add up to a full large ear of corn. The fajitas for two were really good and a huge portion. Very tender meat and veggies. We would have liked to see more pineapple. The chunks were small and a little sparse on the skillet, so in the end, we didn't get much of that tropical flavor. In the end, it wasn't enough to deduct a star as we had an excellent overall experience. Thanks amigos!

I ordered the BOOM BOOM Shrimp Tacos (I think that's what they were called) with beans and rice and the $5.99 margarita. The tacos were REALLY GOOD! I'm definitely going back again when I'm in that area to eat. Every thing was good - the customer service, the food... however that $5.99 margarita.... Let's just say, I understand why it's 5.99 and on special everyday - I'm never ordering that again! lol Everything else - loved it!

Update for our 2026 annual visit:…read more We ate in this year and the service and ambiance matched the quality of the food we had last year. I have been looking forward to the World Ninja Championships so that I can eat here again and the team did not disappoint. I had the special, chilaquiles supreme and YES! Flank steak butterflied and so tender that I cut through it easily with a butter knife. They make the chips fresh for each order of chilaquiles and you can taste it. Generous amounts of every flavor that went into the meal and I left stuffed! Hands down, my favorite place and I have a feeling we are making a second trip here this year for sure! First impression as you walk in, or look at images of the menu: AUTHENTIC! First impressions when you bite into your food: They nailed the first impression! I had the lingua, tripa, pez, and Pastor tacos. My family had the California burrito, chicken and beef tacos, and the Enchiladas Mexicanos with mole and salsa verde. We also added a side of guac and chips. Guac: thin mixed avocado and perfectly sized chunks mixed in with the tomato and seasonings. An absolute must! The 4 tacos I ate were succulent to say the least. The tripa was thin and crispy, but you could taste the rendered fat in them. It had the texture of perfectly cooked bacon. Al pastor is one of my favorites and this one did not disappoint. Then there was the pez taco that was just the right amount of crispy without being an iota overcooked. At last I ate the lingua taco. It melted in my mouth and I immediately wanted another. I don't even like mole sauce, but I couldn't stop eating the mole enchilada. Aces, hands down. The California burrito was phenomenal and had the perfect amount of each ingredient and a delectable amount of heat and sweet cream sauce. The chicken was obviously hand shredded and had equal amounts of larger chunks of meat and thin pulled pieces to soak up all the flavor in endless nooks and crannies. If you have not been here please do your palate a flavor and stop in. The value far exceeded the price of our meals and we plan on coming here every year when the World Ninia finals rome to town

Service was really bad. Our server was absolutely terrible. Got most of our order wrong despite showing her the items on the menu. She didn't check the table at all and we had to send other employees to get her and even then she performed what was a very simple job extremely poorly despite having only one other table. Ambiance was terrible. Music was so loud. We had to actually yell at each other as did the other patrons and we asked multiple times to turn it down without success. Will never return to this awful restaurant.

The restaurant itself was really clean despite the lunch rush just having gone through. So we were really impressed with the tables being kept up after the lunch rush and the chairs were comfortable as well. The prices are fair especially with how good the food is. Even our family friend who is notoriously picky was impressed by the food. One downside was that it was difficult to understand the lady behind the counter however we were able to order by pointing to what we wanted. One of the meals we got we aren't sure exactly what it was, as we pointed to something someone else had gotten. Our friend got the chicken quesadilla and she said it was really good. The only thing that was a little disappointing was the guacamole. It was a bit thin and bland. We went based on a recommendation of a coworker who said they had three tacos for $9.99 as part of a meal and they said they were so good and it was a really great value which is why we went there. We definitely weren't disappointed and plan on returning.

With what I learned, I just can't see myself going back and anybody who has Alpha-Gal syndrome, you may want to really think twice about what you ordered here. I ordered a vegetarian combo meal and got the food, I ate it and about a half hour later I was on the toilet, and it was not a fun night. I called the restaurant the next day because I've had this happen to me before, although with this place, I ordered through GrubHub so I wasn't able to ask questions, but you assume when something is listed as vegetarian that it actually is. Anyway, the refried beans are sometimes fried and vegetable oil, sometimes fried and lard. The day that I ordered mine, well all week they had been fried and lard which makes them not vegetarian. When you stop consuming those types of animal byproducts your stomach doesn't know how to digest them so I had this food and my body immediately was like what's going on and sure enough trying to reject it. As with most Mexican places, they start you off with chips and salsa. The chips do not have salt on them so you may need to add it if you enjoy a salted chip. The salsa is good and not very spicy although my wife who doesn't do spice said it was a little much for her. I had the Cocina plate which is chicken, shrimp, and steak with onions, peppers, mushrooms, and cheese sauce over rice. This is my go to as it's delicious and always hits the spot.
