Took our best friend for her Birthday lunch. Food was delicious, but service was lacking. Server, Ashley, seemed distracted and disinterested in serving. We asked for a little extra time to order and had to wait quite a while.We also ordered from the bar and NEVER received our order, yet the server had time to add it to our tab. She did not come to check on us or refill our waters. After asking the food delivery staff for an adjustment on our bill for the bar order, we graciously added a gratuity but never received an acknowledgement or apology from our server Ashley who came to take our payments. read more

My partner and I came in on Thursday evening around 7:00. We were seated immediately and got Nicole for our server We got an order of the chips and guacamole to start along with the complimentary chips and salsa. The guacamole was awesome, I always need more salt or something in restaurant guac but this guacamole was amazing. We ordered the super enchiladas and the California burrito. Both were great, they came out fast, hot, and well seasoned. Our server Nicole was on top of everything for our experience. Refills, boxes, and she checked on us constantly. When we were boxing up our food she even offered to grab us a thing of chips and salsa to go! The food was delicious, the ambiance was very cool, and the service was awesome. I'm extremely disappointed with how my autistic younger brother was treated at this restaurant. It's clear from the way he dresses and communicates that he's neurodivergent, and unfortunately, the staff completely misread his behavior in a way that was both humiliating and discriminatory. He had previously complimented a waitress on her tie and held eye contact a little longer than average -- a common "staring problem" associated with autism. Both behaviors are typical for someone on the spectrum and weren't meant to be intrusive. When he returned to eat, staff acted strangely around him. He even overheard the same waitress say she was going to hide in the back to avoid him -- even though she wasn't his server. As he was leaving, staff blocked his path and told him the waitress "doesn't feel the same way about him" and that he would be banned if he continued "harassing" her. My brother was genuinely shocked and confused, and didn't understand what was going on until after he left. He never did or said anything inappropriate, romantic, or suggestive. The only "offense" was existing in a way that others misunderstood. Autistic people should not be treated like predators just because they behave differently. This kind of ableist treatment is unacceptable. Do better. read more

Total staple for Mexican in the High Point community. This is most recently renovated Mexican restaurant anywhere near by. They even added a cute picture wall at the entrance recently. The Guacamole Regional is quite literally the BEST guac I have ever had at any restaurant, really not sure how they do it. When dinning in the restaurant they make it next to your table in front of you. There are so many options & you really cannot go wrong with anything on the menu. We got take out this time but have eaten at the restaurant many times. The staff are super efficient & quick with orders. Not to mention there many weekly specials such as 50% house margs on Mondays! Can be a bit pricy in comparison to other local Mexican cuisine but the quality is worth it! read more

Strangely I haven't taken more pictures or left a review, but I think we all know to expect and most Mi Pueblo locals know the drill. We popped in for a few drinks and a small bite tonight, challenging ourselves to pick something new. Jalapeño Margarita is on point, sugar or salt is offered. What I do find is that some people never display that one item on the menu that may not be so popular. The ceviche was fresh, light, acidic, with abundant and fresh avocado. I chose not to bother with the tostado beneath and built bites with my chips instead. (and I've had a few ) we stumbled upon Mi Pueblo by chance - shopping at Home Depot and got hangry - let me tell you they did NOT disappoint! Started with the spicy margarita and the Golden Chicken Flautas - served with rice, lettuce, pico, cheese dip and honey mustard this was delicious Entrees - I got the Street Tacos with steak - onion cilantro lime and a radish. They were good, I wish the tortillas were cooked just a bit longer. Hubs got the Texana Fajita Quesadilla and he was happy but should have ordered without the green peppers (there were a lot). This is my go to Mexican restaurant in the High Point area. I love the Rice, Rice Baby as well as the Hawaiian Chicken and Tequila Chicken. Rice, Rice Baby isn't on the menu anymore but they will still make it! The Hawaiian and Tequila Chicken both have a sweet sauce on them and when it mixes with the Mexican rice it is simply magical! I normally don't like anything on the rice because they have one of the best Mexican rices I have ever had but the sauce with the Hawaiian and Tequila Chicken makes it even better! The mild salsa is also one of the best mild salsa I've ever had at a restaurant. Mild is typically just tomato sauce but their's is legit salsa! The cocktail flight are also great! I was their this weekend and probably will be back next weekend! read more

Compared to other local Mexican restaurants, Mi Pueblo is firmly in the middle of the pack. They do feature some nice, hand crafted margaritas and margarita flights. I would definitely opt for those, despite the up charge, since they either put no or relatively little tequila in the house margaritas. It's basically (heavily) sugared lime water that is quite painful to drink. Gives you that tart eye twitch if you know what I mean. The micheladas are another definite high point. Quite large and very tasty. They are also maybe a little TOO big (if that's possible), so it can be a challenge to actually drink one before it gets too watered down and gross. There are two types of guacamole offered: dip and the fresh chunky version that is similar to the table side guac that other restaurants offer. The fresh version is delicious and served with baked tostada chips, which is a great addition. Unfortunately, after the margaritas and appetizers, I have never been blow away by the entrees. Whether it's the street tacos or the fajitas, the meat either has no or very little seasoning. I don't typically drown my Mexican food in cheese, sour cream, or salsa, but that is almost a necessity at Mi Pueblo to have any sort of flavor. This is real downer, but I am unfortunately not alone as my entire table unanimously agreed during our last trip after I had warned them in advance. I have tried to avoid beating restaurants up over service the last year or so because staffing has been difficult for everyone, but just make sure you calibrate your expectations accordingly and try not to be in a hurry. In short, it's worth a try (especially for the special margs) but Mi Pueblo does struggle to stand out amongst some fierce local competition. read more

Rock-solid Mexican. They offer many vegetarian options. The food is fresh, and hot, and has a good flavor. While it is not the best Mexican restaurant, their strong options and large menu, offset by a fair price, really make a case for Mi Pueblo and I order delivery a few times a month. There are a few Mi Pueblos so this is the one on Northport Ave in High Point, NC. Met my brother from NY and his wife for lunch. What a pleasant surprise. very reasonable prices, great service and decor. Loved the chili poblano. A big selection and separate lunch menu. The only thing I didn't like was the salsa because it was really salty. I live in Greensboro, but I will keep this one in mind when I go back to High Point. I give this one 4 and1/2 stars. read more

Service is marginal at best for some reason, as they are well staffed. If you want a good margherita, good luck, they don't have bartenders the have that kind of skill. When you first arrive you get some salsa, and nice crisp chips on the table. We also ordered some white cheese queso. All really yummy, my table crushed through it! Salsa was a great flavor, not too spicy and not too plain. But YA'LL the Golden Chicken Flautas are a must-have! The photo and description on the menu sold me instantly, and it didn't disappoint. You got 8 rolled pieces of goodness, on top of some rice, and a pile of guac in the center. It came with some homemade honey mustard and a ranch on the side. They have an inside as well as outside seating which too advantage of sitting outside for social distancing. Most of the seating outside is covered too which was nice. The service was on point! Saw on their website that they added a few new items to the menu and what caught my eye is the Supreme ACP. They won me over with all the veggies in the dish. Grilled chicken, steak and shrimp over a bed of Mexican rice, topped with onions, bell peppers, broccoli, squash, zucchini, mushrooms and cheese sauce!! Every to go order comes with salsa and chips so that's a plus. I ordered about 30-45 minutes before closing so I know it wasn't gonna be as good as it would've been if I ordered earlier in the day. Some of the meat was dry and shrimp had a fishy flavor. I'll definitely revisit Mi Pueblo and try this dish again. read more

We literally just left. Friday December 9th 2022 we were seated with relative ease around 8:15pm. The restaurant was busy and of course! That was all good and well. The issue was from the moment our waiter (Ricardo) approached us, he was unnecessarily rude. It blew my mind. Literally, from walking away before our sentences were finished to slamming drinks on the table and storming off. Yes. Storming off, not walking off. Stalking away as if he irate or upset (And with what I couldn't have known because I gave him no reason nor did my two friends that sat with me) As someone who works with the public myself, I make it my mission to approach other service workers with patience, understanding and kindness that we don't often receive especially during busy seasons. None of that apparently mattered to Ricardo. It might of been better had he just yelled at us That he did not want to wait on us. I would've preferred that and would've gladly waited to be seated in another section. Horrible experience but judging from the other reviews I'm seeing, this isn't out of the blue and terrible service is becoming a norm. I've eaten at this Mi Pueblo's several of times and have always left feeling good. We felt awful leaving, we did not tip and that too is new one for me. I'm good on never eating there again and you guys will probably read this and be fine with that. I do hope Ricardo works out whatever he's dealing with. The food was wonderful and tasty, the upscale marguerite with black salt was very good, but more importantly the service was superb. This place is a little hidden, it's on a side street across from the Ford dealership, you really can't see it from the main road. It is a very nice place on the inside and out, they have very nice patio area for outdoor seating. The menu offers many options for Mexican and TexMex food. Both of my visits here I have ordered the Guaca Chicken, it's a marinated, grilled chicken breast topped with queso sauce and a big scoop of their homemade guacamole served with rice, beans and tortillas, your choice of flour or homemade corn, I chose corn. The chicken was grilled perfectly both times and the guacamole is fantastic. I added their homemade red and green sauces to add a little heat and spiciness to take this dish the next level. So we decided to ride through the strip areas that were adjacent to the Palladium... and oh boy we stumbled on a hidden jem. We were seated quickly for a Saturday night.
