The service was not that good the guy up front clearly wanted us to hurry up it my first time and I was trying to review the menu before ordering. Barely any parking it's on the side of the road and not much space for a lot of cars the ambiance is mediocre and now for the lost important the food not much flavor 16.50$ for 4 empanadas that taste bland and doesn't have a lot of filling they were lukewarm and I could tell that they are frozen empanadas that been frozen for who knows how long which was verified that they are frozen and already made they don't taste fresh or authentic there is another empanada place 10 minutes from here 4 empanadas for 11$ and they are outstanding same size and a lot more filling. Which is the only reason i felt for empanadas it just happens that I wanted to try a new empanadas place thinking it would be good just completely not worth it

Hace mucho no comía mi comida colombiana y por fin tuve la oportunidad de ir a este restaurante. El sabor espectacular, tal como en casa, me encantó!!! Tienen empanadas, arepas y almojábanas congeladas para llevar también.

There food is very good here. Have had only a few items of their menu tho. But we love it! Today we just got a snack. 4 Hawiian empanadas, 2 guava & 2 pineapple pastries. Yummy everything! Love the sauces that come with the empanadas. The vinegar green sauce is so yummy and the other dipping sauce that looks like secret sauce is good too!! Love this place!

My daughter, her friend and I ate here because I have not had a good empañada since visiting New Jersey a few years ago. We started with a few chicken empañadas and fríes (friend had never tried an empanada before). Then we ordered like 4 more and now my daughter's friend is a fan AND my husband keeps asking me to go now too.

    Yummy

Sooo good! My first time eating empanadas and so delish! I'm in heaven will definitely be going back asap

What a wonderful business with a big heart. I love that this restaurant knows how to give back to their community. Even when ordering carry out they provide environmentally and safe for the human body trays and containers. Just showing this means they must put a lot of thought and consideration for their customers. These are the cheese and beef empanadas. I am hooked and will be ordering from them as much as possible. They also sell and have frozen ones too. I think that Tacoma is so lucky to have a legitimate empanada store, and honestly who doesn't love a pocket of love like these? They had an excellent amount of filling in their homemade dough. I loved that their homemade salsa was extremely fresh and not too overwhelmingly salty or spicy. It was just right.

Great Colombian Food and the seasoning was on point! In this case first time eating in this restaurant and I had some very good and authentic chicharones con papas plus of course I could not miss a good ol colombiana pop for the win!

The service was very slow, but friendly. We ordered the empanadas and although the flavor was good, they were so greasy. Will definitely go back and try something else one day. Then maybe I'll revise this review. Until then beware the empanadas are very very greasy and pricey.

Beef, pepperoni and cheese, spinach and cheese. All greasy, dry, hard. Green Chimichurri (lacked acid).

I know this business is new and my 2 stars doesn't mean it was horrible. It means there is a lot of room for improvement! So keep on working on it and please prove me wrong next time. I've never had Columbian food so I don't have much of a comparison but keep reading if you want to know my experience. I was excited to try Columbian food so I stopped in to get an order to go. First impression: There was an older man helping with orders and he is super friendly. He must be the owner which is great to see. There were 3 to go orders as I waited for my food so it looked promising. Menu could better explain what each item was. No descriptions just photos. I ordered something that was $21.99. The most expensive item, there was a photo and it looked like a medley of fried items. I got it because I thought it would be a good sampler. I also ordered 6 empanadas. I waited quite awhile for my food. The $21 dish sat on counter for a good 15min while waiting for my empanadas. Ahhh! I knew it was dying! Finally got the empanadas and by then the $21 dish was cold and hard. The empanadas were fried but not piping hot (which was confusing). Anyway, still had to drive home (20min). Got in car and opened to go box to see what it was- fried pork, lots of little potatoes underneath, hard plantains (I think), and a few fried yucca? Like I said, this sat on counter for awhile so it wasn't hot anymore. It was soggy and over fried! Could barely chew the pork. Also it was basically tasteless. Definitely needs salt/seasoning. There was a green sauce/salsa that came with it, could use some acid. Got home and the empanadas were rock hard. Grainy. Not the kind I'm used to. Usually empanadas have a crunchy exterior and pillowy interior w savory (or sweet) filling. Oh my disappointment! I really wanted empanadas. The cheese didn't melt. It was more stringy than anything. The empanadas were also lacking seasoning and they were greasy. This food sadly did not hit the spot. I hope I can go back and eat something good next time! Overall: lacking in seasoning, hard, greasy.

Lovee coming here. Went here shortly after the place opened the very first time and have came in occasionally since. Best empanadas I've had in the area. Staff is always friendly and ready to grab you whatever it is you need. I love the latin music -- not sure why other reviews were complaining. You're in a Colombian restaurant, not applebees!! Go in and enjoy! :)

Most Caribbean spots around Washington lean Jamaican, so finding a place doing proper Puerto Rican dishes felt special. The menu and quality reminded me of what you'd find back on the island, at least pre-pandemic. They had classics like chillo frito, mofongo, and pasteles, and it tasted like homemade small business cooking. Honestly, I thought it was even better than La Isla before the fire that shut that place down. A few pain points. It's far. The restaurant is south of Tacoma near I-5, so it's a bit of a drive whether you're coming from Seattle or even from the airport. It was also cash only when I went, though you could sit inside and eat. Last time I called it sounded like they were still mostly doing the to-go model and hadn't fully gone back to the way it used to operate. I haven't made the trip again yet, but it's still on my list. Also worth saying, after the pandemic when I moved to San Diego, I couldn't find an authentic Puerto Rican spot there either. That made me appreciate this place even more. After the Benito Super Bowl performance I'm definitely craving some Puerto Rican food again. Might have to make the drive soon.

Not sure if it was always like this or just near closing hours when we arrived to pick up our order., The lady at the cash register was most pleasant and our orders were complete, cooked to order hot and fresh. We ordered 2 orders of the chicken dinners, pollo playero and had bits of pork added to it. We also ordered a side of beans. The food was freshly cooked, so it was nice and hot. It was well seasoned. The meats were tender (with the exception of the pork bits inside the rice). The food had a beautiful presentation with onion, green and red pepper slices on top of the meats.

Anyways, we stopped here for a quick bite, since it has a very unique Venezuelan arepas that you cannot find anywhere else in the city. We got the sifrina and the Seattle arepas, and the portions were ridiculously generous. The shredded beef and the cheese filled up the fluffy yet crispy arepa shell, which was a delight to eat. It also has a row of different sauces to try on the table we sat down, which made the whole experience more fun. Trying out chipotle sauce and comparing it to garlic habanero sauce was just added an additional layer of fun to eating it in the restaurant. The service was quick and helped us answer how they were prepared. You couldn't ask for more at a place like this. The vibes in the restaurant also definitely improved, since the last location. Much cleaner and more spacious. With the ample parking spots nearby too, it should be easy to access this location from now on. At any rate, amazing Venezuelan arepas place. I also enjoyed their sauces and it is just fun to experiment with different sauces and enjoying the flavors. I won't be surprised if all their sauces were housemade.
