This was our first time to visit. We found both good things and bad things about this place. For the most part, both the decor and the food and margaritas seem aimed at the younger folks. It's a bit flashy and loud. They have a happy hour and a different special every day of the week. We went on a Wednesday and their Wednesday special is $5 Margaritas. I ordered one and Dan waited to taste mine before he decided. It was huge and it was sweet. It tasted a bit like Kool Aid. I ordered it on the rocks. That was a mistake. When I suspect a margarita might be sweet and have lots of artificial ingredients, I usually order it frozen. The ice mutes the sweetness. Dan got a beer after tasting my Margarita. I ordered my usual chili rellenos. The breading was much too thick. I took it off and ate the pepper. The refried beans had a good flavor and the rice was okay. Dan got a chicken quesadilla al a carte. I love that they have an al a carte menu. His quesadilla had a lot of chicken and not much cheese. The juice of the chicken filled his plate and made the bottom side of the tortilla soggy. The service was spotty. We had to do some waiting for the waiter. The decor and the music were both loud. They didn't have the volume turned up high. It is just the style of Mexican music that I consider loud. Our favorite Mexican restaurant plays Mexican music that I find classy. I enjoy it. I've been going here for a while and they used to be good but recently? I've been getting food poisoning every time I go. this is the third time. our bowls were given to us with one that had food still on it, there area we sat was gross and the table was barely holding together, our waiter was good but the place was just so full and no room to do anything. I'm surprised the waiter didn't get knocked out by a kid flying out of the chair. The beef taste like absolutely nothing as-well which is a common occurrence I love Mexican and Pueblo is the only affordable place as of lately but I'm not sure it's worth it anymore. Wow! What a great experience at Mi Pueblo. The aesthetic of the whole restaurant honestly makes it feel like home. The Christmas decorations and nice comfy booths always make me feel comfortable. The service was absolutely incredible, within 7 minutes we had chips, guac, queso, and salsa as well as our drinks. The workers smiled hard and the experience left us with a smile just as big. Service was mediocre. I think the waiter said maybe 5 words to us the entire time we were there. The food was bland. Flavorless.

The chili relleno was cold and soggy. The service was great! It can be noisy but the booths were cozy. The ground beef was flavorless. The tamale was cold. Beans and rice were average. House salsa is flavorless. They have a spicier salsa that is a bit more smokey. Menu is very large and cluttered. I would try it again but probably could not convince my family to visit. read more

Located in Sand Springs, OK... this place has all of my 5 stars and here is why. I've been coming to this place for a while now and I actually drive out of my everyday loop to eat the food here. I always start with the white queso which is delicious and flavorful. I always end up getting either a beer or coronarita... either which is a solid choice and I've had just about everything on the menu. Honestly it's just really good Tex-Mex food. You won't find anything new here that you can't find anywhere else, but what you do get here is a great staff. I feel like I get treated like family here and am always greeted with smiles and hugs! I will write some about the food. Tonight, I got the fajita dinner. It was everything that I could ask for for $10.99. Everyday, they have a different "special" that they put on the board and I usually go with those options. I had some modelo on draft and it was everything I needed to wind my night down. Back to the family atmosphere, I saw 4 different birthdays tonight and each time, the entire staff went to sing happy birthday which I thought was cool and traditional. My cute daughter even got a free sopapilla which of course I had to take a bite. It was amazing!! I will always recommend this place to be my number 1 pick out of the other Mexican restaurants in this area and most of Tulsa! Great job Mi Pueblo!!! Mi Pueblo, Packs'em in tight, then feeds'em right! Headed home from Cleveland OK and decided to dine on Z's side of town. I have tried both El Patron and El Maguey at their other Tulsa/Claremore locations so, Mi Pueblo was new to try. Describing it as solid 4-star OkieMex restaurant, tells you about all you need to know. I'll offer a little more. The menu is enormous. It took a while to decide; Enchiladas Poblanas and the Carne Asada got the nod for this meal. The Enchiladas Poblanas are four large meat filled enchiladas (2 Beef, 2 Chicken) covered in a very tasty, authentic mole. It is a plate full of food. Beans and rice are extra. The beef for this Carne Asada was a different cut than the skirt, or flank steak typically used. This beef was a very thin, cross grain cut sirloin. Possibly a cost cutting decision by the restaurant. Less fatty than skirt steak, still tender because of the way it was cut, with a good grilled flavor. No complaints. The beans, rice and guacamole were good. Add a fresh Chile Toreado to complete the meal, and avoid the pickled jalapeno that comes on the plate; set it aside. I made the mistake of cutting it open. The vinegar then runs out contaminating the plate. When I said "Packs'em tight" I meant it. Tables and chairs are arranged to ensure that there is no wasted space. And, the restaurant is not that big. The staff operates fast and efficiently. Diners are not neglected. If you are prone to claustrophobic spells, you should avoid the restaurant at peak dining hours. We caught the lull between the lunch and dinner crowd. Quite comfortable and great service! Okay, so when we go visit family in Sand Springs we've clearly frequented one establishment which I enjoy, and I hate change when I'm okay with an establishment. Mom really pushed coming here after church, and I'm really glad we did. The interior is far nicer than your first glance, and the service was excellent. I ordered the white caso as an appetizer which was very good, not just melted cheese, but it had flavor and just a little heat. Not so much that my toddler didn't eat it. The lunch specials are great, but I chose the dinner fajita combo, and it was far more than I can handle, so leftovers were abundant. The way they spice their meat is excellent, and is amazing by itself, even without the other portions. All of this said, they have great drinks, a nice patio, and I can't see any reason not to gift this place five stars. I loved my food, miss my leftovers (which my family will enjoy since I left for a trip with overnights in another country). read more

Haven't posted in awhile, Mi Pueblo changed all that. Restaurant was clean, inviting and friendly. Do not remember waiters name ( I apologize) but he was very, very friendly. Always made sure drinks was full, always made sure we had plenty of salsa and chips but never interrupted while we was eating. Stopped here after a 2hr group harley ride and I was pleasantly surprised! It was around 2:00 on a saturdsy afternoon and packed! They have a good selection of Mexican beverages and beers. The menu is large and they have specials daily. Their lunch menu is large and really great on pricing. As a table we had their beef fajitas, Carne asadas tacos, and shrimp diablo. All was great! The beef was a bit salty but with the salsa, sourcream, guac...it was great! Service was excellent as well for a packed house. We enjoyed it and will be back soon!
