This is a locally owned restaurant which I always support local entrepreneurs. All the staff is very friendly and treats guests like they are family. The food is amazing! I have tried just about everything they have on the menu and never have had a bad dish.

Wow! What a great experience at Mi Pueblo. The aesthetic of the whole restaurant honestly makes it feel like home. The Christmas decorations and nice comfy booths always make me feel comfortable. The service was absolutely incredible, within 7 minutes we had chips, guac, queso, and salsa as well as our drinks. The workers smiled hard and the experience left us with a smile just as big. The food is easily the best Mexican food in sand springs. This is always my first choice as they never miss with their enchiladas, los tres compadres, and pollo molè. Bravo Mi Pueblo!

Special dinner! It looks good but the relleno was not crisp. It was soggy and cold.

The chili relleno was cold and soggy. The service was great! It can be noisy but the booths were cozy. The ground beef was flavorless. The tamale was cold. Beans and rice were average. House salsa is flavorless. They have a spicier salsa that is a bit more smokey. Menu is very large and cluttered. I would try it again but probably could not convince my family to visit.

Located in Sand Springs, OK... this place has all of my 5 stars and here is why. I've been coming to this place for a while now and I actually drive out of my everyday loop to eat the food here. I always start with the white queso which is delicious and flavorful. I always end up getting either a beer or coronarita... either which is a solid choice and I've had just about everything on the menu. Honestly it's just really good Tex-Mex food. You won't find anything new here that you can't find anywhere else, but what you do get here is a great staff. I feel like I get treated like family here and am always greeted with smiles and hugs! I will write some about the food. Tonight, I got the fajita dinner. It was everything that I could ask for for $10.99. Everyday, they have a different "special" that they put on the board and I usually go with those options. I had some modelo on draft and it was everything I needed to wind my night down. Back to the family atmosphere, I saw 4 different birthdays tonight and each time, the entire staff went to sing happy birthday which I thought was cool and traditional. My cute daughter even got a free sopapilla which of course I had to take a bite. It was amazing!! I will always recommend this place to be my number 1 pick out of the other Mexican restaurants in this area and most of Tulsa! Great job Mi Pueblo!!! If you don't believe me on how good it is... just drive by any night...it's always packed with people!!

Mi Pueblo, Packs'em in tight, then feeds'em right! Headed home from Cleveland OK and decided to dine on Z's side of town. I have tried both El Patron and El Maguey at their other Tulsa/Claremore locations so, Mi Pueblo was new to try. Describing it as solid 4-star OkieMex restaurant, tells you about all you need to know. I'll offer a little more. The menu is enormous. It took a while to decide; Enchiladas Poblanas and the Carne Asada got the nod for this meal. The Enchiladas Poblanas are four large meat filled enchiladas (2 Beef, 2 Chicken) covered in a very tasty, authentic mole. It is a plate full of food. Beans and rice are extra. The beef for this Carne Asada was a different cut than the skirt, or flank steak typically used. This beef was a very thin, cross grain cut sirloin. Possibly a cost cutting decision by the restaurant. Less fatty than skirt steak, still tender because of the way it was cut, with a good grilled flavor. No complaints. The beans, rice and guacamole were good. Add a fresh Chile Toreado to complete the meal, and avoid the pickled jalapeno that comes on the plate; set it aside. I made the mistake of cutting it open. The vinegar then runs out contaminating the plate. When I said "Packs'em tight" I meant it. Tables and chairs are arranged to ensure that there is no wasted space. And, the restaurant is not that big. The staff operates fast and efficiently. Diners are not neglected. If you are prone to claustrophobic spells, you should avoid the restaurant at peak dining hours. We caught the lull between the lunch and dinner crowd. Quite comfortable and great service! They will feed you right! It's a good little Mexican restaurant.

Very expensive for quality of food. Sometimes the staff care. Sometimes they don't. A little outdated but who cares. It is edible

Service was mediocre. I think the waiter said maybe 5 words to us the entire time we were there. The food was bland. Flavorless.

The $ amount isn't an issue if the food was amazing... but it wasn't. My wife and I had steak fajitas for 2, at $34. Steak was tough and flavorless, apparently lacking any seasoning. and not the sizzling heaping plate you would expect. This came with a side plate for each of us with bland flavorless beans, and equally unimpressive serving of bland rice, a TEASPOON of guac, a small dollop of sour cream and a pittance of shredded/ground cheese in a disposable cup -not even 1/2 filled .....seriously? The amount of guac and cheese was insulting...this entree was Priced way too high and did not deliver in flavor, quality or quantity! Lots of better choices all over the area for less money. Prices seem to be about 25%+ higher than comparable locations...and the quality and flavors aren't there for a premium price. My wife commented that "the flavors were suitable for a nursing home...it was all so bland."

It looks like it has to have been in a previous life, an old-time, small-town convenience store where you pull in, gas up the boat, fill the ice chest with cheap PBR, grab a pack of night -crawlers and head to the lake. Now, the small inconspicuous building is split down the middle. A dispensary providing medicinal stress relief to the community operates in the west side and the family owned and operated Taqueria El Sabor Jarocho restaurant fills the remaining half. Driving into Skiatook from Hwy 75, the restaurant is unnoticed, and is equally invisible as you leave town headed east; mostly hidden by the vehicles parked under the old gas station canopy. It looks more like a small used car lot. The letters stenciled on the border of the old canopy that once proclaimed the restaurants existence have faded to extinction. Inside there is a small dining area with six tables that occupy the restaurant's allotted half the structure. Somewhere behind the wall in the remaining space is a functioning kitchen. A damn good one! Chips and good mild salsa come with the meal. There are several other varieties of salsa available. All good. The one that was in the little to-go cup was the best. Flavorful, a little smokey and not extremely hot. I bet they have a green salsa too. Hot plates came to the table. My wife had the beef enchiladas covered in an authentic red sauce (not tomato sauce.) Plenty of flavor on the plate, nothing bland. Beans and rice, tasty delicious as they should be. I went with the Mega Burrito. A bloated over stuffed flour tortilla filled with equal amounts of beans, rice, fajita beef, cheese and a little lettuce. The burrito was covered in queso. Excellent! The dining environment ain't enticing, but the authentic Mexican food is. 4.8 stars from over 200 reviews on Google back that up. Very good service.

As what was stated over the phone, the moment we walked in, we were seated. The place is very intimate in space, I'd recommend for dates. I went with the Enchiladas, something I've been craving for a couple of months & La Tertulia helped that fix. There were a few meats to choose from & I went with chorizo. The wait on the food wasn't long (people were starting to fill in as well & it didn't stop the servers from being on point) & the food was really good. Coming in with 3 enchiladas, stuffed with the chorizo & the fixins, I was left full after I finished. The spanish rice & pinto beans were good as well, paired good with the enchiladas. The chorizo looked more like breakfast sausage more than the chorizo that's more on the dark brown + reddish tint I'm used too. The enchiladas also come with chiles (I picked green) & plenty of cheese. Side Note: Chips & salsa were also super good, my favorite type of salsa. Kinda like a Taquera/Molcajete style. I was so hungry that the chips & salsa didn't slow me down from running through my main entree.

The menu features many Mexican food favorites. Enchiladas, burritos, tacos and more. They're cooked well and served in large portions by a helpful server. A note - some of the dishes are plain and include a protein charge. I'm not a huge fan, but I'm okay with it if it's explained. I was confused during my visit because my enchiladas listed a $2.50 protein charge, but the protein charge was for each enchilada not the plate, so my three enchilada plate was $7.50 more than it was listed because I asked for chicken. I don't necessarily feel cheated, however I was surprised when the server gave me the bill. $2.50 is one thing. $7.50 is a lot more.
