You cannot beat the amount of flavorful food you get for the price at Lopez. Their Muskogee Chicken is an excellent value in addition to being flavorful and filling. My husband loves their carnitas. Went for a lunch meeting recently. I wanted to find a go-to Mexican restaurant in Sapulpa and this might be it! It is VERY reasonable. I had a lunch special that was $6.50! Chips and salsa were good. The inside is much better looking than the outside so don't let that keep you from trying this place. Would love to go back for dinner and try a marg. We really enjoyed our meal at Lopez Grill. It was super busy as it is still new to Sapulpa but the staff worked hard to please everyone. I had my usual enchilada, taco, rice and beans and it was great! My husband had some kind of steak. It's a fun atmosphere and it looks like they have a full bar coming soon. The Lopez restaurant cartel has spent a few bucks on remodeling and furnishings at their new Sapulpa location. Nicely done, attractive and comfortable. I hope upgrades included a new AC. It seemed a little warm in there, but that was after I had downed half a bowl of their salsa picante. Today was a test for any air conditioner. It is nice to see that some of the better small town Mexican restaurants are cleaning and remodeling the buildings versus just setting up shop in a dumpy dive. With hundreds of Mexican restaurants now competing for your peso, I think you will see some of the losers disappear. At 2:30 today, the restaurant had a good number of patrons. Sapulpa needed a new Mexican restaurant. I have dined at 5 of their other Lopez restaurants (Muskogee and Wagoner). All are fairly consistent in food and service. Lopez Grills are good solid OkieMex restaurants. The Sapulpa restaurant was good, as I expected, and possibly the best of their outlets. The regular salsa is very mild and very lightly seasoned, but the salsa picante is fire, and essential. Well spiced ground beef filled the taco and the enchiladas. Good queso, beans and rice. I'm a day late on my review here. New restaurant's are great for Sapulpa and this one is going to do just fine if they keep making food like we had. The dining area is larger than you'd think the restaurant would have. When we got there it was busy and we still had parking. We got seated quickly and got our drinks. I ordered the pollo con queso, which was grilled chicken on a bed of rice covered with white queso (my go to meal). My wife got the Muskogee special which is similar to mine but with more vegetables. Both come with flour tortillas. These both were amazing flavors, not bland. We did get a banana chimichanga for dessert just for curiosity, I didn't care too much for that. The waiters were fast and friendly and the dining area was not too loud. When you get a chance give this place a visit. They just opened this week and are off to a great start. read more

This place was recommended to us. The beef fajitas didn't have seasoning and only tasted good with salsa and/or sour cream. The kids bean and cheese burrito was the size of a small tortilla. The tortillas didn't taste home made which was disappointing. The restaurant was extremely tight and uncomfortable for my 5'11" husband. He could barely fit into the booth. Parking is extremely limited. Our waiter didn't completely understand what we would say so when my kids asked for a bean and cheese burrito, he didn't understand that and brought them a bean burrito. Seriously the best mexican in Tulsa. This has become a weekly or every other week meal for us. The service is always awesome and everyone there is so friendly! You need to go try it if you haven't. The food is really good! My wife and I shared fajitas and there was a lot of it. Had to take some home. Daughter had the Lopez quesadilla and liked that as well. Wife tried the jalapeno margarita. She said it was a bit too sweet for her taste but the take home one she got was better she said. Only thing I can complain about is time it takes to get your food. Plus our waitress didn't hear my daughters order and we had out fajitas. She got it about 5 minutes later. Very sociable host and willing to take care of any issues. Will be back soon! read more

Food: Taco: no flavor Chili Relleno : shredded beef was very large chunks of chewy meat Beef burritos was same chunky shredded beef. Not shedded at all. Salsa had no flavor Pastor tacos pork was not tender enough to chew. Plus was wayyyyy over seasoned. I'm a Texan that has eaten at nearly 20 different Mexican restaurants in the Tulsa area. Staff were extremely willing to serve. Oh, flys are very bothersome while you eat! This place was packed and it was because there are no other places in Sapupla worth eating at. Very nice atmosphere, the service was a little slow and not very attentive. The flavor of the food was good but I had the baked potato and it was not cooked it took 45 minutes to get our food. The manager did offer to get me another one but I was not wanting to wait another 45 minutes. So I ate what I could. Heard some good things about this place and decided to give it a shot. Overall it was pretty good. Service as good and the place looked nice and was welcoming. I decided to get the Pollo Loco since you can't possibly mess up chicken rice and beans, and I was pleasantly surprised how good the rice and beans were as well as the chicken (seasoned perfectly and was grilled to perfection). However, I did notice the flour tortillas that were provided were severally lacking. To be honest they tasted like cheap store bought ones I can get from Walmart. It was disappointing that everything else was fantastic but was undermined by some disappointing tortillas. But overall pretty good will come back again some time. read more

I have had a few meals with Lopez's and each one has gotten more bland. I wish I could explain better but I was disappointed two weeks ago. I ordered a simple enchiladas chicken dinner, no flavor involved. After ordering on the phone I had them repeat it back and, when the person who was picking it up called and said they never got the order. I told him what I had ordered then they found it. When I got it it was like they tossed around everything got mixed together. Yuck! I like my food separate to try every taste. I have not eaten inside it but it looks great. read more

Everything could have been better. Service was ok, could have been faster. Salsa was watered down and lacked flavor. I ordered a Tequila Sunrise and I couldn't drink it because it was just straight tequila. Food was dry and bland.
