Friday night and they were busy but not overly so. A lot of tables available and we had a large crowd. Multiple tickets were expertly handed by the staff. I did not have any alcohol this evening but others indicated the drinks were quite good. As evening progressed, others also gathered to enjoy the evening and the walls echoed a lot, so conversations were difficult at our table. Ambiance became quite loud. Parking lot entrance was difficult to locate when dark, can be tricky unless familiar with the area which we were not. Food portions were typical but served really hot, quite enjoyable. Be aware of the Arkansas 18% alcohol tax that will be included on the bill. Beer taxed at a different rate than mixed drinks and are listed separately if both types are ordered. read more

I usually give anything a second chance but this was the worst "Mexican" food I've ever tasted. They bill it as authentic. I guess I ordered the wrong thing. Chilaquiles Mexicanos. Rice was crunchy, as if it had been sitting in the warmer too long. How do you mess up rice?! Fried egg was brown. Horribly overcooked. And everything covered with ranchero sauce. They did not skimp on the sauce. There were two cups of sauce it seemed. And the queso? I think they poured that from a can. SMH read more

We stopped here on our way to take our daughter to school outside of Little Rock, AR. As far as Mexican restaurants go, this is a pretty good one. I'm not sure I would describe it as anything over the top special, especially in a metro area like Memphis that has so many Mexican fare restaurants, but the food was good, the portions oversized (so you won't leave hungry), the facility was clean, and the staff very friendly. We ordered and the food came to our table quickly so, if you are in a hurry, this is probably a good place for you. read more

The food was hella expensive. I'm talkin, 5$ for a drink. If you come here expect to pay AT LEAST 20$ per person for the most mid Mexican food of your life. The service was more like self-service. Our waitress came over and had a horrible demeaning attitude, slammed down menus and silverware at the end of the table, and expected us to pass them out ourselves. She continued doing this with the drinks and even food. We had to pass sodas over the people at our table!!! AND SHE STILL CHARGED FOR A GRATUITY TIP AND FOOD TIP!! WTH?! I work at Walmart and come here a lot! I come here almost everyday. Mostly for drinks. I started eating here and it was good for a few times but the last time I went here I got food poisoning. I told my supervisor and she said three other employees also got food poisoning the same week. May 1-5 2022. Just be careful eating here. I told the boss and he didn't care he just game me a thumbs up and walked away. I was spending over 100$ a week here. Well not anymore. I really liked eating here for my lunch. Now I'm scared too. We love this place! This is the best authentic Mexican food! The service is great. The owner is attentive and friendly. We ordered the Grande Especial and a Mexican salad. The salad was full of leafy greens, veggies and a generous portion of grilled, premium juicy chicken. The Grande is a sampling of many of their offerings: taco, tostada, Chilli reyeno, enchilada and tamale with beans, rice, chips, salsa. Everything on that plate was delicious! The meat was plentiful and exceptionally tasty. No skimping on quality ingredients here! I ordered the salad but couldn't help but sample the grande plate too. Yumm! read more

I'm born and raised in north Texas and let me tell y'all what. This place is great. I've never had anything bad and the caldo de camarón (shrimp soup) is phenomenal. The staff has always been very nice as well. I just need some Vicente Fernandez and Juan Gabriel playing to make me like this place even more (they probably play them and I'm just too occupied with the food to realize it!) read more

I love Mi Pueblo. It's been the go to spot in town to go eat since I was in high school. Instead of starting with cheese dip, I recommend starting with bean dip. It is delicious! I would give it 5 stars but service can be spotty. 8/10 times I have great service and food but then there's that 20% chance that it's not. If you want Mexican food I recommend Pueb. read more

I have been a customer for here for years and always enjoyed the food. However, I will NEVER go back now. I have a family member who worked here who was treated horribly. When she was hired as a server, which she has done for many years, they did not tell her speaking Spanish was a requirement... she found out it was. She was also charged $15 for an apron; which she turned in after being fired her 3rd day on the job. Her paycheck did not add up either to what her hourly wages and credit card tips were. The worst thing was when she asked another employee how to say "Good afternoon" in Spanish as her customer was Spanish speaking. They told her a phrase that translated to " I have to pee". How professional!!! The manager made fun of her as well and fired her because she asked him for help in the "wrong way". If you do not speak Spanish or are not Latino/Latina don't bother trying to work here unless you like being humiliated. Fun fact the kitchen staff smoke in the kitchen while preparing your food. read more

The service here is horrible. I had to ask 4 different people to get anything. Our server got our drinks and never came back. A different person got our order, our check, our chips etc. Then when I asked for anything half the staff doesn't speak English. The food is okay and the prices are good but be prepared to wait forever ever and never have what you need. read more

The food is so good. The service is great. I've never had an issue with either since they opened. Live music in the warm weather. My favorite thing to order is not on the new menu though. I went into this place September 1, 2021 I ordered a fajita usually fajitas come out Sizzling, mines didn't. the bartender had an attitude and when I asked for my check he like disappeared so I didn't tip them well at all because of his attitude and services. he was a small little Mexican man and He had a little attitude like a little man syndrome I was the only person sitting at the bar!!! I am a trucker I would've tipped you good if your services was decent. If I could have choose no stars I would !!! This place by far has the worst customer service along with management!! I guess it's shows that their family owned seeing how a manager couldn't manage his server... GET THIS YALL all over me wanting to add sour cream and tomatoes to my taco !!! She would have to charge me for a side of tomatoes and a side of sour cream which would come out to be more then the taco itself !!! I mean really is this customer SATISFACTION ??? Alright, let's talk about that less-than-stellar Mexican restaurant experience. First impressions matter, right? Well, walking into this place, you're hit with a strange smell--not the enticing aroma of spices, but something vaguely resembling old gym socks mixed with dish soap. The decor? Think mismatched sombreros and faded posters that have seen better decades. The menu is a novel, filled with endless combinations of the same five ingredients. You order the "special," which arrives looking like something the cat dragged in. The rice is dry and crunchy, the beans are a sad, watery mess, and the meat? Mystery meat is an understatement. It's tough, flavorless, and you're pretty sure it's been reheated at least twice. The salsa tastes suspiciously like ketchup, and the guacamole is that weird, neon-green stuff that has no business being called guacamole. The tortillas are either rock-hard or so soggy they fall apart on contact. And don't even think about asking for extra napkins--the server looks at you like you've asked for a kidney. To top it all off, the place is sticky. The tables, the floor, even the salt shakers seem to have a permanent layer of grime.
