The chips were incredible, easily some of the best I've had. They were fresh, clearly made to order, and paired perfectly with the salsa. In fact, I enjoyed them so much that I ordered an extra batch to go. If I ever return, it would be for those chips alone. Unfortunately, the rest of the meal didn't meet expectations. I ordered the Alambre, and the meat tasted strange. It was off-putting and made it hard to enjoy the dish, even though the tortillas were flavorful. The freshness of the chips made the lack of quality in the main course even more noticeable. The service was another letdown. While not outright bad, it felt inattentive and below average, especially considering how packed the restaurant was. The staff seemed overwhelmed, and it showed in the slow response times and lack of engagement. Parking was a nightmare. The limited spaces and high demand meant I had to circle around and practically fight for a spot. It added unnecessary stress to the visit. Mi Riconcito Mexicano will be my go to place for for authentic Mexican food at amazingly low prices. This establishment provides super fresh, flavorful food that is well seasoned at perfect levels of spicyness. I love to order a Mexican beer to go along with my meal. There is so much to choose from. If you are having a hard time deciding what to order, get a sampler plate which is a combination including such things as a taco, enchilada, a gordita, a flauta and nachos, I love the quesadilla de maiz with refried beans, the flautas and the guacamole. The service is good considering how busy they sometimes get and the wait staff are friendly enough and you don't even have to speak Spanish to feel welcome there. This place is nothing fancy, being a mere step up from a cafeteria in terms of atmosphere, but it doesn't have to be. It provides great food in ample portions at great prices and that is more than enough to keep me coming back. We visited on a busy Saturday evening. We both ordered the Fajitas but I wasn't overwhelmed with it. I found a distinctive lack of flavour and absolutely no chillies which I was expecting. The tortilla chips that were provided before ordering were very good and I could have easily eaten more of those. When the foot was brought to the table there was no cutlery. We had to wait for the server to return them ask for cutlery. The food had started to go cold by this point. Tap water was provided and coke is served via a can. Always had a great experience dining there. Been here many times and finally would leave review with the pleasant customer service. The menu was excellent with great portions size. The prices were reasonable. Huge menu options and everything was so good. Everything was so delicious and very appetizing. The quality was great. The Queso Fundido and Tacos ALs Pastor were the best I had. Portion were generous too. The staff was nice and friendly. The consistency and approach to this restaurant is impressive. Im a huge fan of the Lamb Tacos, they are made simple and the way you would eat them in DF. The Mole, leaves you screaming I WANT MORE MOLE, its the best I have ever had. The service is attentive but nothing spectacular nor the place itself, but the FOOD ROCKS, and that is what i go there for. Ask for the Salsa Verde with the chips it is tangy and not spicy tomatillo sauce. I orderred the ceviche, which i knew it was a risk, but again it was amazing. Highly recommended read more

Great authentic Mexican restaurant. Came here on a friend's recommendation and had some delicious food. Plenty of street parking. We came on a Saturday night and it was only a short wait. There's an extensive menu. We tried 3 different types of tacos and also the carne asada. All turned out really well. They don't skimp on the taco filings. The place is kid friendly. 4/10. Aside from the dirty tables and busy staff the food was just not up to par to the reviews we had seen online. We went out of our way, left south beach just to come here after everyone made it seem that this was the authentic Mexican place to visit in Miami. Chicken was just so over cooked and dry, the combo #2 platter was so deep fried and oily it just made us sick after. The hibiscus tea was also very watered down. The breakfast egg burrito was ok the large tortilla was soft and needed more toasting. I got home and browned it on the George Foreman to make it crispier. Sure could use melted cheese mixture on top but they didn't. $65.00 for 4 egg burritos and they said no melted cheese. Please grill the tortillas that cover the burritos. Note.. the cheese used in the dinner chicken burritos is too runny and again the tortillas look like raw dough. Oh maybe I don't know what they are going to be like. read more

Being a proud Mexican American, I love being able to eat at restaurants that remind me of my roots. This place is right by my house and I love going there to eat. The restaurant is pretty small but the food is really good. I love the everything burritos they sell, its about $12 but it comes with rice, guacamole, and pico de gallo along with a very big burrito that will satisfy your hunger. Amazing place! Very friendly wait staff and great authentic Mexican eats. Oh, and extremely reasonable prices. I get the chicken burrito with mole sauce and it's got to be at least a couple pounds of burrito! They serve beer too and it cheap, I think it's about 2.50 for imports. OK Mexican on Calle Ocho who would of thought. But this right here is the real deal. I saw the reviews and tried the Queso Fundido w/chorizo nachos which is a bang for your buck, it was addictingly good and something like $5.50 for a plate easily for 4 people. This is not blow-your-mind-gotta-have-it-now food, but it is good. It is as authentic as you can get North of the boarder. I had the Carne Asada Gorditas and a Jarritos it came out to be $10. Our table also got the guac and chips and for the price you get a heaping helping of guac! I will defiantly be back for the tamales since they only serve those on the weekends and we were there on a Monday. read more
